What the heck guys
Heng Sha ≠ Hong Kong
Does anyone have an OnLive code for Deus Ex: HR they are willing to give away? I just opened up my preordered Augmented Edition and it wasn't in the box. I didn't order from Best Buy, so I have no idea why it wasn't in there.
Hey guys, how do I access my Augmented Edition content?
I was told it was in Steamapps but I didn't see it.

Thanks.
Holy Christ it takes a long time to download. Does it include all the 222 songs or just the major themes?
I'm gonna replay the game and try to [sp]save malik for the good soul ahcievment[/sp], wish me luck.

I found that quite easy. With a combat rifle + extended magazine + laser sight and a Heavy Rifle it took me less than a few minutes to kill everyone.
I'm really thinking of getting this game. Can someone describe the themes and types of gameplay involved? Also, is it immersive and fluid when it comes to combat and general atmosphere?
All I really know about this game is that the art direction is boss and there are wiggers and whores everywhere.

I didn't get a code either, and I ordered from Amazon. I also didn't get my pre-order bonus DLC code, but I emailed them about that and got one.
I have a question about the Pacifist achievement.
In one part during the game, I threw an EMP nade at a robot, and the self-destruct sequence caused a rather stupid guard to be killed by its explosion. I didn't get any XP for the death, so I'm hoping I can still get the Pacifist achievement?

I ordered from Best Buy, and I got my preorder DLC and everything else. The OnLive code was the only thing missing in the box. It really pisses me off. I'm stuck on my father's Mac until I build my computer sometime next month, so I have no way of playing it now without the OnLive code.

This is one of the best games I have ever played. It improves on the original Deus Ex in every way. The combat is believable, immersive, and extremely fluid while blending together amazingly with the cover system that a lot of people had doubts about. If you enjoy large, open areas that are packed FULL of secrets and hidden rooms, you will love this game. If you enjoy multiple ways to solve a problem, you will love this game. If you enjoy every action you make effecting something else and eventually the very end, you will love this game. I cannot recommend it enough. It is serious, comical, and actually brings up good questions. I am 20 hours in (Still haven't beaten it) and I have not encountered one bug. There are boss battles where you fight, and conversational boss battles, and although both of them are challenging, they are extremely fun and enjoyable. Its packed full of easter eggs, secrets, and so much out of the way things that you can tell a lot of effort was put into this game.
Regarding wiggers, its Detroit. The whole game is not set there, and you travel to many other locations.
Eidos Montreal has done an amazing job with this, and it has lived up to and surpassed the original Deus Ex in every way.
Question to other people regarding Zeke.
Spoilers: [sp] Was anyone else disappointed by Zeke's death if you decide to save him and not kill him when you meet him again? I didn't even notice I killed him until I looted his body. He was just like any random Purist and I shot him in the face. There was no special scene, or anything. [/sp]
[sp]It's not about technology is evil at all. It's stating that it shouldn't be used to the point where mass genocide is possible to be committed, which is why it is cast aside. Choosing an ending was very tough, but I feel blowing Panchea is the better of them all, unfortunately. Sarif's would be after that.[/sp]
[sp]I felt like blowing Panchea would just make people turn against the technology the same way, i think the best would be explaining the truth about the Illuminati and blaming Hugh for making everyone go insane, explaining things from Adam's point of view instead of other people, he has the right idea.[/sp]

[sp] Yeah you can knock him out or kill him but there was no special scene. He was just there. If you knock him out does he return later?[/sp]
this game is eating my life why is it so good

[sp]If you just kill every hostile you see I don't get why you would spare Sanders[/sp]
Thats pretty lame.
Just beat the game.
Absolutely amazing.
Please, could anyone please send me the OnLive code? I will give you a Steam code for the 2nd Humble Indie bundle for it, along with a SteamGifts invite. I really would like to play the game I just bought.

That's not the problem, problem is that he is just there and you shoot him and hes dead/knocked out and never heard from again with no special scene and its kind of silly.
Did anyone else knock out the guy in that side mission where you have to find the stripper?
he says "And don't try to knock me out because it's not like I conveniently have the information on me or anything"
I knocked him out after bribing him to get my money back, and he didn't have a pocket secretary or anything.

I just finished the game on Give me a challenge in 15 hours.

By that time you have bigger things to worry about than Purity First
Just beat the game on the hardest difficulty! Did every side quest, hacked everything, opened every g'dam drawer and tazed every enemy in existance knocking em' out. I'm still pissed off using passwords didn't get xp like you did when hacking casue it made me want to hack instead of using a pass i already had. The best part about it is it only took 35 HOURS!! The game just wouldn't end..

Just something cool if you didn't know, if you knock a enemy out then drag him near a laser field that he could of walked through it turns off. So you drag him around using him as a keypass to get through.

That's because technically they have clearance to be there and you don't, so if they pass through, the security detects that they are allowed in the area and shuts off to let them by. It makes sense!

Deus Ex is the most storydriven game you can play. Really. It deals with conspiracies, lies, betrayals, philosophical questions, and the rawness of humanity, all wrapped up in a neat little mystery.
The gameplay ranges greatly from player to player, with augmentations to account for all of it. Want to play it like stealth? Go ahead, find the secret vent systems and hidden passageways and sneak your way through with your cloak and silenced leg augs. Go in guns blazing, by upgrading your armour and offensive augs and using shotguns and assault rifles to take out the baddies. Or, you can do as I did and throw a dash of both in to be prepared for any situation. Certain features, like hacking, are critical to gameplay if you like exploration and discovery, though you may not be into that side and can spend the points on other things.
When you get into the game, you feel like you're really there. It's extremely immersive. Every civilian you talk to seems real and provides you with a short look into the world of the game, which really fleshes out the world. The atmosphere is amazing and Eidos sure knows how to design environments.
Combat is usually fluid enough. Sometimes the AI lacks but in firefights it's not too noticeable. The gunplay is satisfying and the takedown system is just plain entertaining. There are a number of ways to approach any situation, because Deus Ex is all about choices. You could stealth it, like earlier. Go in guns blazing. Use the cover system to make them think you're in one area while you maneuver behind them.
And going ahead with the "number of ways to approach things", I'll tell you this: At one point, I was exploring and stumbled upon a future mission objective, and dealt with the problem before I ever knew it was a mission. The dialog and mission structure changed accordingly.

[sp]Adam's point of view is your point of view
You have complete control over the masses with what you decide to tell them through Eliza, if you decide to tell them anything then you're no better than the Illuminati
Hugh's just an old fart who's jelly because he can't get augments anyways[/sp]
