Look at how much xp i had, i bet no one can beat it! Although it wouldn't surprise me if someone did as i killed alot of people instead of hand to hand takedowns when i had no stun gun ammo.
Those endings, man. [sp]None of them seemed good to me. Self destructing would mean humanity would fuck themselves over again, Sarif's ending is good because you continue to research technology, but all that crap about becoming gods really got to me. Then there's Hugh's, which is just plain stupid.[/sp]
Oh my... someone forced it too hard Gotta love ragdolls
I want this game so bad, but I can't afford it... /wrists Anyway, are the quests similar to Mass Effect? If so then AWESOME.

Sarif's seemed to assumed people would only use them for good. And Darrow's I didn't like. Augmentations can save people who would have otherwise died.[/sp]
[sp]Adam's point of view is your point of view You have complete control over the masses with what you decide to tell them through Eliza, if you decide to tell them anything then you're no better than the Illuminati Hugh's just an old fart who's jelly because he can't get augments anyways[/sp]
[sp]Not really, you can see how he's in between, he thinks lying like Sarif suggested is wrong and what Hugh did is completely insane, you might have the final decision but you can see how Adam has an idea of what's wrong and right for him. Having the option to tell the truth from Adam's viewpoint instead of other people wouldn't be bad, it's kinda like merging with the AI on the first game, the character does have his own ideals.[/sp]
Just beat it, that feel when you don't get the pacifist achievement because you killed two guys in the prologue. [sp]Is Taggart somewhere on the last level? I could only ever find Sarif[/sp]
anyone else feel like this game was kinda made for the controller over keyboard + mouse combo?

Any idea on what the DLC will be for this game, dev announced it while back, secondly what was the explosive mission DLC pack about.
I want this game so bad, but I can't afford it... /wrists Anyway, are the quests similar to Mass Effect? If so then AWESOME.
What do you mean by similar to Mass Effect?
Um, how the quests initialize and shit. Basically, how you start the quests.
[sp]Not really, you can see how he's in between, he thinks lying like Sarif suggested is wrong and what Hugh did is completely insane, you might have the final decision but you can see how Adam has an idea of what's wrong and right for him.
Um, how the quests initialize and shit. Basically, how you start the quests.
Uh I can't remember how the quests started in ME1, played that a couple months ago so my memory's stiff, but, from my newbie experience in HR, it works like this: You talk to some people, one person might have something for you and will ask if you can help him out. If you accept - he'll go into detail on what's going on, what happened, etc. After that - you can either just go ahead with the quest or go into MORE detail on what's up. Then later in the quest you might have the choice (or be forced) to do even MORE stuff to complete a single former objective. If you get tired - you can always just shoot the person and the quest ends.
Some side quests are initiated by talking to certain people and others automatically become available as the story progresses. fuckin ninja
Actually, now that I think about it, it is kind of similar to Mass Effect. You have the big overall story missions which you can complete at any time (with repercussions for taking too long, of course), and then you have the smaller optional side missions you can get by just going around talking to people. And, even deeper than that, there are quite a few secret areas you are freely able to explore inbetween missions. Neat!
Of course the simple fact that we can argue about which ending is the best is what makes Deus Ex so great No shitty black/white good/bad endings, actual moral choices [editline]27th August 2011[/editline] Although imo the endings to the first Deus Ex were better Now where's my dance party
You've probably seen this but the design on the last console you can hack looks pretty familiar...
Also why I didn't merge with Helios
[sp]Merging with Helios didn't mean JC was in control of the world, same thing applies here, and even less since Adam would be simply telling the truth. Well anyways... i didn't like how inconclusive it was, i felt like fucking everyone up or leaving things the same, on the first game it really feels like you made a difference.[/sp]
Damn it, why can't they just retcon Invisible War and make a true sequel Human Revolution is great, but the original Deus Ex is still my favorite game of all time There's something about it, the amazing writing, the mystical atmosphere, that makes it so special At the same time I don't want a sequel because of the open endings Aggggggghhh Ion Storm why did you do this to me
You've probably seen this but the design on the last console you can hack looks pretty familiar...
What is it suppose to look like?
Just beat the game, went with [sp]Taggart's ending.[/sp] I just feel that [sp]his seemed to be the best, what with the fact that Augmentations (Which can help save lives) will be regulated instead of completely abolished. I think he was right too, saying that total freedom is no different from total chaos.[/sp] Definitely the best game I've played so far this year. It was amazingly well written, had beautiful locations and music, and was incredibly fun. Also, did anyone else feel badass after this scene (Linked due to spoilers, probably best to not click it until you've beaten the third boss)? http://i.imgur.com/teMcd.jpg
Merging with Helios didn't mean JC was in control of the world
Um, yes it did
What is it suppose to look like?
My automerge. :saddowns:
What is it suppose to look like?
[SP]The Deus Ex symbol[/SP] Fffff ninjad
fucking ninjas [editline]27th August 2011[/editline] Anyway, all of the endings to HR can be canon, since in Deus Ex augs become unpopular, but are still being worked on by the Illuminati/MJ12

I've never once been penalized or even scolded for taking too long on any sidequest or mission.
I knew i should have gotten that Icarus landing system augmentation
