Am I late or did anyone find the emails and the ebooks about 'Patient X'? What's that all about? [editline]27th August 2011[/editline] Also I wish I could disable robots
You can, [sp] the stun gun can temp disable some of the smaller ones, EMP to disable the massive ones, and you can disable turrets and patrolling robots with the hacking skill to let you do it via security consoles [/sp]
Any way to enable the DLC yet?
No, unless you pre-ordered it.
No, unless you pre-ordered it.
I pre-ordered it, where do I enable the DLC? Or is it for store pre-orders only?
I really hope they make the pre-order DLC available to everyone eventually. This is one of the few time I'd be willing to buy DLC.
[sp]Adam is Patient X[/sp]
Why did I have to read that :(
Why did I have to read that :(
Hey man Not my fault
Jesus almighty the reviews by the users on Metacritic are just infuriatingly stupid.
Poor voice acting, terrible looks and false choice do not make a great game. I've played the game for close to 5 hours now and am very nearly ready to uninstall. It's annoying at every turn. The game doesn't let you make the dialogue choices that would benefit the character I would like, but I'm not sure it matters. Be an average guy or be a slightly worse than average guy and things play out the same. It's really disconcerting going into a police station, shooting some cops, then waiting around until they forgive you. So realistic. Even if you can suspend your disbelief for these things, the unskippable cut-scenes, the general poor looks, often grating voice acting will get to you in the end.
1/10 because this isn't Mass Effect 2 and you don't know how to skip a cutscene (SPACE BAR)?
My experience with Deus Ex: Human Revolution can only be described as "flat". A promotional deal with AMD and their HD3D standard has left a sour taste in the mouths of nVidia 3D Vision users. Those of us who crave the Stereoscopic 3D experience, but bought the "wrong" graphics card are left wanting. Amazingly, the process of improving the 3D experience on HD3D has simultaneously crippled the experience on competing platforms. I'm giving this a low rating on principle - bad move, Eidos, you could have supported both. Don't turn Stereoscopic 3D into a GPU-war. It has enough trouble gaining traction as it is, and those of us who enjoy the experience feel punished
A 2/10 just because you can't get 3D? That's your only fucking complaint?
I couldn't play past the first hour. -You can't scope aim unless you're up against a crate, even if its more advantageous to be out in the open. -Blind fire almost never hit the target. Even when in fairly close range -The tranq dart didn't even have a reticle when aiming (at least it didn't for me on the PC version) making it damn near useless. How the hell do I hit the enemy?? -Enemy handguns never had more than a single bullet in them -Melee takedowns require battery and if you don't have enough charge, it will deny you the right to use them even if you are a second from death. -You can't take more than a few hits before you get the raspberry blood screen and have to go back through the loading screen. A challenge is a challenge but this combined with all of the above is infuriating. As someone who tries to play stealthy but just can't, I got into a lot of gunfights. The combat is so unbelievably bad, crippling you and your ability to dispose of bad guys. Nothing could drag me back to play this again. I hear the story is pretty good though.
You miss when you blind fire? No shit. No reticle with the tranquilizer gun? It's a rifle, use the scope dumbass. This is only a few... there's more on all 3 platforms.
Why did I have to read that :(
I thought it was pretty obvious throughout the game.
My T-pose is augmented.
I need some help. How to defeat the invisible assassin woman? I destroyed the power generators but we both get nasty death shocks.
Shoot them til they die.
I need some help. How to defeat the invisible assassin woman? I destroyed the power generators but we both get nasty death shocks.
Emp resist aug Or just lob emp nades/plant emp mines and open fire when she's stunned, there should be a few you can find there Before leaving Heng Sha everyone should work on emp and then gas resist, they're incredibly useful from that point on
I need some help. How to defeat the invisible assassin woman? I destroyed the power generators but we both get nasty death shocks.
I killed her with 2 typhoon explosive blast things and nothing else. DON'T MESS BITCH.
Why do I read this thread with spoilers flying all around? Thanks Rong.
Also [sp]when you go to the lower levels of the Picus headquarters, did anyone else notice the statue that looks like the one in the Versalife headquarters in DE1?[/sp]
Also [sp]when you go to the lower levels of the Picus headquarters, did anyone else notice the statue that looks like the one in the Versalife headquarters in DE1?[/sp]
[sp]Picus is MJ12[/sp]
-spoiler content-
People complain about spoilers way too much. How can you even begin to play this game without knowing that you're going to fight the three mercs from the beginning?
One thing that really bugs me about Deus Ex is that Adam can't just climb over obstacles. There's so many areas that can easily be reached if Eidos just gave Adam the ability to grab on to the edge of something and pull himself up. Stacking crates and climbing these easy areas just look silly.

Is your screen supposed to go all screwy in game like you have a bug? Pic [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/jNoGr.jpg[/thumb]
Or just get the jumping augmentation and jump 12 feet in the air.
Yeah, I do, but it still is rather silly.
Is your screen supposed to go all screwy in game like you have a bug? Pic [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/jNoGr.jpg[/thumb]
Yes, it gets explained later.

I can jump 15 feet on to pavement and be relatively fine. Especially if I had robotic arms and stuff. I know I could get the augmentation for jump landing but you shouldnt need one for only like 15 feet.
Why do I read this thread with spoilers flying all around? Thanks Rong.
You've seen the invisible to chick in the trailers. If you didn't think you were going to fight her any time in the game, you are a silly person. You know that guy from the trailer with the minigun augmentation? You fight him! OMFG SPOILER!
Is your screen supposed to go all screwy in game like you have a bug? Pic [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/jNoGr.jpg[/thumb]
Were you hit by an EMP? Also that happens throughout the game at certain points.

I'm in the morgue area, and I'm so fucking lost.
