Thinking about getting this, what game would you compare it to in terms of system requirements?
Does killing people in the opening before you get augmented count against the Pacifist achievement?
Does killing people in the opening before you get augmented count against the Pacifist achievement?
Yep.
I have no idea how you guys passed through the last stage without killing people. Its a nightmare trying to knock them out or avoid them
Yep.
Well shit. I want to go for a Pacifist second playthrough. Do you have to sneak past them or is there like a stun gun somewhere you can pick up?
I have no idea how you guys passed through the last stage without killing people. Its a nightmare trying to knock them out or avoid them
It is pretty easy, just got to have cloak.
So the [sp]final boss fight[/sp] reminded me of this: http://art.penny-arcade.com/photos/603331236_sMYkv-L.jpg Please for the love of god don't click unless you've finished the game.
Well shit. I want to go for a Pacifist second playthrough. Do you have to sneak past them or is there like a stun gun somewhere you can pick up?
You gotta sneak past 'em.
Yep.
Oh shit... I'm 10 hours in, with a inventory FULL of weapons and ammo. And I haven't used a single bullet. But I did kill the fuckers in the intro. I guess I'll start shooting people then.
So what happens when [sp]Darrow activates the signal when you have the new biochip? I assume that for some reason or another you don't go insane, because cutting off the ending of the game for a good portion of the people who played would be a bad idea.[/sp]
[sp]You don't go insane because the cure to the code Megan injects into you moments before makes you immune to the frequency Darrow uses that suddenly makes everyone go batshit nuts. Her actual reasoning for injecting you changes depending on if you went to LIMB and took the new brain chip or not.[/sp]

I might be a bit late on this, but I may as well ask. Does anyone, who has pre-ordered their Deus Ex, have no interest in their pre-order TF2 items? I really like them (only pre-order items I've ever liked), but I couldn't justify spending 50 euro's just for that. Even more so whilst I'm so strapped for any money at all. I would be very grateful if there's just one person kind enough to give some of the Deus Ex items away, as I'll probably not be able to obtain it myself anymore.
I just spent 5 hours exploring Detroit. Wow. This game is just great. Also, one thing I really hate about this game - picking up guns only gives you ammo. You cant pick up a gun, and take the actual gun, and sell it off later. I HATE THIS.
Just finished it, gotta say I did enjoy it and in a few ways it improves upon the first, load of criticisms and compliments could be given to it, too tired to whine.

Well, getting past the first level without killing anyone was much easier than I though it would be.
I don't like that a middle ground between Non-lethal and lethal is harder than just going non-lethal. I started out taking the tranquilizer and stun gun and non lethal stuff, but brought a pistol in case things got bad. Now that I'm further in the game, the pistol and the machine pistol are basically useless against actual enemies. It's usually just easier to go non-lethal on everything. I don't like that.
Last time I gave away TF2 pixels away the faggot sold them for dosh, so no.
That's rather stupid. I'm interested in them because I truely like them. Not to trade them away or sell them for money.
I have a question for youse people. [sp] Wasn't Panchea designed to stop global warming and stuff. I mean, think of the environment if you blow shit up [/sp]

I did end up wishing multiple times that I had better weaponry for the boss fights though.
I have no idea how you guys passed through the last stage without killing people. Its a nightmare trying to knock them out or avoid them
Peps made it hella easy
That's rather stupid. I'm interested in them because I truely like them. Not to trade them away or sell them for money.
Suure. Then why do you want them genuine if you can just craft them?
Nah, my pistols got several damage upgrades as well as armor piercing and it still takes two head shots to take out some of the heavies.
Finished after 23 hours. [sp]Am I the only one who thought the end bossfight was kinda weird. All I did was run around in a circle pressing the buttons, put in the code to turn off lifesupport, and threw emps at the robots and bam. Gameover. And I think blowing up the station was probably the best choice. Let the people decide how far augmentations should go. That or David's[/sp]
Suure. Then why do you want them genuine if you can just craft them?
I never asked for this (:v:) Pre-order to me means that it's a complete set, and I figured that not everyone was interested in TF2 and to that extent, the Deus Ex items. It doesn't matter what quality they are to me, as long as they're playable. I'm not particularly rich component wise to actually trade for any of the items, let alone craft it. I'm really only

It extracts heat from the mantle and converts it to be used as energy. That's why it goes down that deep.
