How the hell am I supposed to hack the Media screen Control panel in the Hive when the security guard is standing two feet away from me? I haven't found any passwords at all in here and I don't have an auto unlocker. Anyone know the password? or a way to get the guard to piss off?
You could always punch him.
Attracting the lone patroller by throwing a barrel, then sneaking up behind him and stungunning his as yeeeee
Huh I did that at the DRB gang compound when I had to stealth through everyone on the undercover cop mission. Those 2 bastards talking in the garage kept seeing the tips of my hair or something...

For those of you playing on nvidia cards, what drivers and settings are you using? I think my problem is similar to sharp_shooters. Although its more subtle and crashes about every 30min or so (although certain scripted events are guaranteed to crash for me).
Also, remember how Deus Ex 1 had the Shifter mod? I can't wait to see something like that for Human Revolution.
You could always punch him.
No, I can't because there's another guard twenty feet away that shoots me if I try. I even googled for the code, it doesn't exist anywhere.
Cold? Really? You sound like you'll only have sex with a girl to have a kid and nothing more (no offense) Half the fun is grabbing some girl's sweet soft legs. Besides, if you give them an underjob, they might decapitate your head when they clamp you with those augmented legs of theirs.
I fuck people for the emotional intimacy, not to get my dick wet, so none taken. It would certainly take some getting used to, but if something like that makes me not have sex with them ever again, I was probably not that attracted to them in the first place.
You can only meet him if you pre-order and get that DLC.
Yeah, shit sucks. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline] And you had to preorder from a specific retailer, too. Which is even worse. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline] I'm regretting not preordering the augmented edition, though. I only preordered normal. the game's Soundtrack is awesome and would be worth it.
Also, remember how Deus Ex 1 had the Shifter mod? The original Deus Ex used Unreal, this one does not and instead has a proprietary scripting system (and everything is packed inside of files) so we'll need to wait until somebody is able to crack the format.
You can only meet him if you pre-order and get that DLC.
[sp]I thought he was that guy that escaped when you blew up the bomb at the Heng Sha docks?[/sp]
I was wondering about that too I tried searching it up on google to see if anyone else had noticed it but got nothing at the time. Still don't really know if that was a reference aimed at Half-Life though...
There's also this.
Hey guys, does this look familiar? No? Then I refer you to 4:03 on the following video.
16 hours in and I've only just got to Heng-Sha :v:
Well, the scripting system isn't "open" yet I don't think. Starting a new save... I want to use non lethal. Lethal is a pain in the ass really.
[sp]I thought he was that guy that escaped when you blew up the bomb at the Heng Sha docks?[/sp]
Yeah, but you get a mission with him if you've pre-ordered. It's really tied to the story too, which is cool.
I like the boat he boards as well :v:
16 hours in and I've only just got to Heng-Sha :v:
It took me just over 9 hours to get to Hengsha. Jesus, what were you doing?
Sarif's Ending = Best Ending
Sarif's Ending = Best Ending
Taggart's Ending, that lawful good speech.
I really need to finish this and get all the endings.
[sp]You can save Malik when you get back to Hengsha[/sp]
It wouldn't be Deus Ex if you couldn't. I tried to but I couldn't because I was on DX difficulty. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
Taggart's Ending, that lawful good speech.
Nah, Sarif's is very neutral, and leaves things the most open for the events of the original Deus Ex.
Just bought my key for £15. feelsgoodman.jpeg
It took me just over 9 hours to get to Hengsha. Jesus, what were you doing?
It took me about 18, but I did every side quest, hacked every door and computer, and used non-lethal takedowns on every single enemy. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
Wow, I feel exactly the opposite. I'm tired of passing up all those shotguns, laser rifles and rocket launchers...
I'm trying to upgrade one weapon all the way for the achievment, and I keep getting reload speed upgrade. My entire inventory is full of it, and ammo count upgrades, but I never find damage upgrades.
Okay I've played for about 18 hours and I'm just in Heng Sha doing a mission for Malik. Much of the game do I have left?
Okay I've played for about 18 hours and I'm just in Heng Sha doing a mission for Malik. Much of the game do I have left?
Lots. Lots and lots of lots.
Is it worth playing the original Deus Ex before playing Human Revolution?
I also like how [sp]You can save Malik when you get back to Hengsha[/sp] The first time around I was fucking pissed until [sp]I noticed the achievement[/sp] (If you haven't gotten back to Hengsha for the second time yet I would suggest you don't read the spoilers.)
Well, fuck. I'm currently on a bloodthirsty rampage against all the spec and BT mercs because of that. And I actually jumped in there with guns blazing to try and stop it from happening. [sp] Felt worse seeing her body at the mercy of the Harvesters.[/sp] [3rd boss] [sp]Sprung like a dumbass for the biochip replacement, now I'm stuck against the bastard without any augs and only a maxed out pistol, revolver and assault rifle to save my ass. SHIT. Though fuck you Adam for not noticing the one mass of muscles with a damn face.[/sp]
Is it worth playing the original Deus Ex before playing Human Revolution?
Yes. There are so many references it's amazing--and subtle references, like the subway stations in Hengsha being the exact same layout as the NYC subways in DX1. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
[sp]Sprung like a dumbass for the biochip replacement, now I'm stuck against the bastard without any augs and only a maxed out pistol, revolver and assault rifle to save my ass. SHIT.[/sp]
If you don't there's an awesome moment where Jensen says [sp]"Women never fail to underestimate men."[/sp] ZING, BITCH!
Lots. Lots and lots of lots.
For real? Thank god haha. Without ruining it, is there a variety of locations? Like in Deus Ex when you go to Area 51 and stuff like that? Also, is there much more stuff to find in the game? Like items or weapons wise? Just wondering if its possible that I've found every gun. Oh and is there a silenced sniper rifle? I couldn't attach my silencer to it :S
Not sure how far into the game I am, must of put at least 15 hours in so far, I am currently in the (very very minor spoiler, but tagged just in case) [sp]china Tai Yong Tower/Facility and have just snuck past all those lasers to hack the data server.[/sp] Anyway, what Im wondering is, is there a silencer attachment/upgrade for weapons in this game at all? If so where can I get it?
I kind of wish this wasn't a prequel, because no matter what I do, Deus Ex 1 still happens the same.
