[sp]I couldn't save her with my non-lethal weapons. R.I.P., Faridah Malik. I will never forget you.[/sp]
[sp]I saved her with 10 stun gun shots and 1 emp grenade
Although if you don't have something to kill that Boxguard you're basically screwed[/sp]
also: is there any way there could be another deus ex game? this one was awesome
That third boss battle. [sp]The big muscle dude in the body exhibit. I knew it was a bad idea to go to LIMB for a new chip. It's not too bad though, I just cannot seem to kill him. I'll blast him with all my grenades, I'll empty my combat rifle into him, and pick up the heavy machine gun and use that on him. Eventually I'm reduced taking quick pot shots at him with the 10mm and I still cannot beat him. [/sp]Is there a trick to it?
[sp] To the left of the elevator there's a drawer with a laser rifle in it. It can shoot through the glass in the centre while his plasma rifle can't, giving you an advantage if you can get the positioning right. If you don't want to do that, get the laser rifle, stand in one corner until he jumps out next to you and open fire. When you're about to die run to the opposite side of the room. Rinse, repeat.[/sp]
I should do a raffle or something for Deus Ex the next time it goes on sale
But don't get Invisible War oh my god it's so trash
also: is there any way there could be another deus ex game? this one was awesome
Not really sure what'd they could go with if they did. I guess it'd have to be set after Deus Ex or something, maybe the final evolution of man/machine. A final transcendance or something, fuck if I know :)
sure i guess
[editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
no

[sp]revolver with explosive rounds and damage upgrade[/sp]
But the hair.....:(
Anyway, still waiting on why the trainer crashes my game when I try a cheat from the numpad.

The problem is that if you make a canon ending for Deus Ex you ruin what makes them great
Invisible War NEVER HAPPENED OKAY?!
wasn't there that one janitor dude who had a crush on her

technically Deus Ex is a canon end for Deus Ex:HR
it's the only way it'd work
[editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
maybe if they did what ME did and do the save-transfer thing
Not really sure what'd they could go with if they did. I guess it'd have to be set after Deus Ex or something, maybe the final evolution of man/machine. A final transcendance or something, fuck if I know :)
They could fit another game between Human Revolution and Deus Ex
technically Deus Ex is a canon end for Deus Ex:HR
Yeah I meant the endings to Deus Ex
The HR endings couldn't affect the plot Deus Ex, a shame but that's just how it is
Human Evolutions, is the next game. muhahaha. Set maybe 6-8 years after the prequel and before the original game. Properly have something to do with Illuminati.
It would be possible for even to get some cameos from the Denton Bros, if it's possible.
I guess I'll have to play the original in order to understand why there can't be a game after it
[editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
don't tell me I don't wanna ruin it
[sp]With Sarif's ending you are telling the world a convenient and truthful representation of what happened.[/sp]
[sp]No you're not. You're twisting the story to make sure augmentations will never be seen as a threat. [/sp]
[sp]No you're not. You're twisting the story to make sure augmentations will never be seen as a threat. [/sp]
[sp]If you choose Sarif's ending you're saying that Humanity Front was the one who caused the augs to go crazy so they're seen as terrorists
My how truthful[/sp]

I guess you could play as Paul
Man if they make the last cutscene meeting JC at the docks it would be boss as fuck

[sp]They aren't.[/sp]

[sp]They harbor them, might as well go the rest of the way right? Beats completely stomping out human advancement.[/sp]

[sp]they also harbored terrorists[/sp]
ninja

A sequel would be possible, if you [sp]started at the last few minutes of Deus Ex, and were allowed to choose which version of the future happened, then play the game according to that plot. That would be hard to do though, since they would essentially have to make 3 games[/sp]
Wasn't there a mod for the original that had you playing as Paul?
[sp]If you choose Sarif's ending you're saying that Humanity Front was the one who caused the augs to go crazy so they're seen as terrorists
My how truthful[/sp]
[sp]Except Sarif's spin on it completely hides the sheer abuse of power and negligence that led to the situation in the first place. [/sp]
[sp]Also you are properly paving the way for DX1, as chances are, if spun in Darrow or Taggart's favor would lead to the end of augmentation, and thus destroying DX1's canon.[/sp]
lol nope
By the time Deus Ex rolls around augs have become hugely unpopular and the people who have them are looked down upon as second class citizens
[editline]29th August 2011[/editline]
[sp]they also harbored terrorists[/sp]
[sp]Yeah but they weren't the ones responsible
Dick move to frame them just because you want them gone[/sp]
lol nope
By the time Deus Ex rolls around augs have become hugely unpopular and the people who have them are looked down upon as second class citizens
Only because of the rise of nanoaugmentation. No other reason.

[sp]so in a way, any of the endings to this game could eventually lead to that result?[/sp]

I never caught that vibe.
Only because of the rise of nanoaugmentation. No other reason.
Yeah not that there were only 4 people who accepted nano augs at that time
and that if you don't accept them you die horribly
[editline]29th August 2011[/editline]
[sp]so in a way, any of the endings to this game could eventually lead to that result?[/sp]
Yep
maybe I'm stupid but how do I use the abilities on the side of the screen? (cloak, wall punch etc)
Cloak is F1, wall punch can be used on weak walls with cracks in them
Yeah not that there were only 4 people who accepted nano augs
and that if you don't accept them you die horribly
You're also forgetting the great collapse. By the time of Deus Ex nobody can afford augmentations. Navarre and Gunther are the only remaining mechano-aug agents.
I only just now figured out how to disarm mines properly. I feel like an idiot.
there really should have been a tut for that because for my whole first playthrough i just chucked boxes at them
Edit

On the hardest difficulty, I just walked up to them before I realized you could disarm them.
You can get close enough that they detonate, but far away enough that they don't hurt you.
