Just completed. Best game I've yet played in 2011. Now for Batman and Skyrim.
give me deus ex

im a scavenger
Same here, I have so much ammo yet I hardly use it.
And when I do I just end up finding more.
Found this message on /v/ and steam forums...yeah its a viral, but I'm gonna check it out, anyone here did?
"Just wanted to give my 2 cents on all the positive hype surrounding DEHR. As some of you may know, back in the end of July, a small indie team out of France released a little gem here on Steam called EYE Divine Cybermancy. Surprisingly, there are numerous areas where EYE does things better than DEHR.
When compared to DEHR, EYE comes out ahead in the following ways:
Less linear and more open with much bigger levels
Gunplay is tighter and more realistic
Very deep RPG features including multiple stats, items to research, cyber implants, PSI powers, guns and other weapons to unlock via stat improvement or purchase - you can progress to level 120!
Many more ways to play your character
MULTIPLAYER
More agressive enemies/AI
Not so consolized like DEHR
So if you are over the initial glitz and glamour and coming to the realization that DEHR is just treading familiar ground and mostly just paying homage to the Mass Effect series, you may be interested in checking out EYE. It's a real kick you in the nuts shooter combined with a deep rpg system that stays true to the PC."
Just a reminder that their special announcement is tomorrow. WHAT CAN IT BE?

Paid DLC wooohoo.... no.
I wanted to try out EYE, but I was saving my money for DE:HR. I'm definitely gonna pick it up during the winter sale.

Well if they want money.. A Malik DLC that could end with you romancing her.
Dosh, dosh everywhere.

MOD TOOLS
Anyone here ever see Appleseed: Ex Machina? I've never been a big fan of anime but i've always enjoyed Appleseed. After having watched it for the first time in years today, I can safely say there are quite a few similarities between Human Revolution and the movie. Especially if you compare the ending of Human Revolution to the films ending.
Does anyone else find it hillarious that David Sarif talks like a 12 year old girl in his emails with the godawful spelling and emoticons? It killed me that the CEO of such a powerful company couldn't fucking type.
I think they tried to portray David as just a regular guy. He seemed more like a friend (albeit a bit of an argumentative and secretive friend) than a boss to me (to Adam and ALL of the employees). The way he interacted with everyone seemed a lot more personal than you'd expect from other bosses. That's probably why they threw that in there, so it seemed like he was talking to his friends, not his employees.

Oh the horrible things I would do with them.

I thought you said this game sucked?

Appleseed was a really interesting concept but the cgi ruined it for me. Still both movies have a cool looking world.

1/2 of the game was pretty cool
Anyone else do the exact same thing at this part? :v:

[sp]That whole room looked like ragecity to me, so I looked around and got into that vent in the back. Saved me a lot of that.[/sp]
So I'm going to replay Deus ex 1, Anyone know how to make the game run better? I barely got 30 FPS last time I tried it on windows 7.
1/2 of the game was pretty cool
More like 99/100.

While it wasn't rageohmygod for me because I absolutely love such parts but [sp]THERE WAS A FUCKING VENT?! GOD FUCKING DAMN IT[/sp]
I'm personally expecting a Montreal DLC at some point since it sounded like they were done with it and simply cut it due to time constraints.

why do people always take the easiest paths? whats the point in making the game so easy
i always take the most challenging paths
why do people always take the easiest paths? whats the point in making the game so easy

The [sp]laser[/sp] path is not hard at all. All you have to do is patiently wait for the right moment and then just move while crouched. I sprinted near the end, past a [sp]vertical laser moving left/right and the camera[/sp] it looked kind of epic :v:
I just realized the Sniper is really useless in this game. The original Deus Ex had many more wide open areas, where a sniper + silencer combo could really cleave through enemies. I maybe used it once in HR. So if anything, I'd like to see some more open areas in a DLC
I'm wondering, just got to china, are there many hidden side quests or are you mostly guided to them? I'm trying to work out the usefulness of exploring everything :v:

Look, I actually like E.Y.E, but I can honestly say
nobody cares.
If you don't like DXHR, don't post here.

There are a few hidden ones but I believe you're guided to all of them save for 2 maybe 3.

Ah thanks, I think I will look around then :)
9 hours in and the only thing I can see that I don't like so far is requiring battery power to punch someone in the face
