I'm using the Steam version and it works just fine. Look in the main menu what build number you have.
The trainer doesn't work for me either, for whatever reason.
The trainer doesn't work for me either, for whatever reason.
Same here, just dings and eventually crashes the game.
I've got this annoying glitch the the Talion A.D. quest where it won't update the mission log after I read the dead guy's pocket secretary. Can anyone offer any help?
I only just bought the game lastnight and haven't played much at all but from what I did play I really don't like that 'type' of mouse movement in games. It sort of feels like theres no acceleration OR it feels like everything is just slightly delayed and very 'sweepy' instead of it reacting the way I expect it feels like it's flowing from point to point instead of moving the way I expect. Hard to get used to, to the point where it will detract from the gameplay. Thankfully I'm just playing the 'give me a story' difficulty, I'm not hugely invested in the DX series but I do want to give the game a shot and it was disgustingly cheap to buy with that IntKeys site.
Is your VSync on?
Finished it in about 20+ hours. Worth every single cent (and more). My favourite ending was [sp]selfdestruct. It just didn't make me feel as bad as the others. Taggart's was the next best, the other two were.... :smith:[/sp] [editline]29th August 2011[/editline] Oh wait no, little over 30 hours. 32 or so.
Yeah, um, use spoiler tags. Christ, some of us have yet to finish the game but like to come into this thread to read about other people's experiences, only to run into major spoiler posts like yours.
Here's an idea: don't be so stupid as to come into a thread about a new game and NOT expect people to be discussing the ending. It's not that hard to figure out. I intentionally skirted around what actually happened at the end anyway. All you know is that there are multiple endings, and that one involves 'the truth'. It's not like it's that big a spoiler.
Kind of a pity [sp]that some stuff was never finished. Like telling that Nerop thief that you'd help him to get through official channels and Haas' choice (I chose to get him to work for SI).[/sp]

Kind of think they might end up giving us some DLCs. Hopefully free. If not, fuck.
Is your VSync on?
It's off.

All you have to do is use spoiler tags, it really isn't that hard. Some people like to be a part of the discussion, but want to avoid spoilers - try and understand this.
Oh okay, I guess I'll stop coming to this thread because people wish to discuss the ending without spoiler tags. My god, you're thick.
It's not like we're all messaging you the ending. It's up to you to stay away from spoilers when a new game comes out by - you know - staying away from the places where the game is going to be discussed. You've come to somewhere where the game is being discussed and then you're COMPLAINING when that happens? You should know the 'risks' when entering. When are we supposed to stop using spoiler tags, huh? A month from release? 6 months from release? A year from release? People are ALWAYS going to fucking complain about spoilers no matter how long you leave it, so stay away from the places where you'll read them. And if you're going to refuse to do that: deal with it.
All the endings suck anyway, it's like Have this game with lots of choices LOL WAIT [sp] YOUR CHOICES MEAN JACK SHIT YOU JUST CHOOSE THE ENDING AT THE END ANYWAY[/sp] other than that, great game.

Whatever ending works, it's up to you how it Deus ex starts, but the [sp]Illumanti makes sense[/sp]
about the endings: [sp]I hate how they are just slideshows of real-life footage and no machinima or cinematics.[/sp]
[sp]I actually really enjoyed that, most of those scenes were extremely powerful moments of human history synched up perfectly with Adam's narration. A few of those ending had a genuinely haunting and powerful effect on me.[/sp]
i'm going to replay deus ex to distract myself from this since i'm not getting any time soon. it costs three hundred pounds here.
Bob is right you know. Even though most people know the risks and all that. It's still a common courtesy and most people can spare the extra five seconds to tag that shit.

Honestly, I'd like a re-master of the first Deus Ex after playing/finishing HR (and letting me choose to be able to side with UNATCO or whatever), but I suppose this is good enough! A lovely game that had my interest for good while. Playing again on the hardest difficulty and attempting a 'Do No Harm' run with my trusty fist and tranq rifle. Only thing wrong was the bosses, holy hell. No one has any business making bosses these days. Endings were a bit off seeing as you had to make all those choices beforehand. Also, I liked how LIMB clinics had a sort of church feel to it. Someone had noted that they were a symbol of changing times and its subtle 'replacement' to higher deities.
Same for me, but I really wanted to hear more about [sp]what happened to the characters of the game itself. If you pick Taggart's ending you would basically ruin Sarif as augmentations are only used for people who had accidents and really need them. Sells would probably go back by 95% because most of the people are just doing it for fur and the sake of becoming more than human. Like the chick that had a cranial aug to be better at her job. The way they let Adam narrate them was great, no doubts. Imagine a fly by camera through the Sarif labs if you pick his ending. Or when picking Taggart's ending I'd expect the LIMB clinics to be shut down.[/sp]
[sp]I disagree. While I think that sales would drop it was never Taggarts goal to get augmentation banned, just regulated in order to protect society. I don't think it would be the end of Sarif as we know it, it might be harder times but they're certainly not going to collapse in or allow Limb clinics to close. Augmented people still need care. Malik would be fine as well, she would still receive the care and medicine that she needs to stay healthy. The regulations would lean more heavily on research and actual augmentations than keeping already augmented people alive and well. I really liked Taggart's ending, Adam's speech was as lawful good as you can get. "Absolute freedom is no better than chaos. Society needs laws and regulations to protect it.[/sp]
idk about you guys, but early on, when you go to the LIMB clinic for the first time, I didn't buy any Praxis Points. Then when I left and Sarif was all disappointed I went back and bought some because I felt like a dick. He seemed so disappointed that he did all this stuff for me and I didn't use it.
Is there any way to[sp]protect Malik without killing anyone in Shengha[/sp]? Trying to get the Pacifist achievement[sp]but I don't want Malik to die.[/sp]

I beat the 'Acquaintances Forgotten' quest and it was really upsetting for me.
Completed the game and chose [sp]Taggarts ending[/sp]. Seemed like the most sensible and true to what would've happened in "real life".
My pre-order still isn't here...
Gas and EMP grenades, though I doubt you will have the chance to stock up with them any more because they are quite rare. The upgraded tranq-rifle should be an option though, but meh.
Doesn't gas grenades kill?
