Son of a bitch, I knew I should have reloaded a save so [sp] I could save Malik [/sp] Well, there's always next playthrough. So, what endings did you all pick? I chose to [sp] do what Sarif said, I personally didn't want to risk halting technological progress. I felt sort of bad that I didn't tell the truth, however. [/sp]
[sp]I told the truth. Eliza was all like, "lol this may make humans abandon all technology and science forever lol," and I was like, "you've gotta be fucking stupid if you believe that people are going to start throwing their air conditioners, fire places, fridges and ovens out of the window just because some ass holes tried to control people using augmentations". The most likely scenario I though would be that telling the truth would stagnate the technological development of augmentations for a few decades world wide, maybe achieve a ban on it in some (perhaps even most) countries for the foreseeable future... but humans are just too damn innovative - we'd start trying to use them again in future, we'll just bare in mind the mistakes of the past. Blowing the station up seemed pointless to me. I mean it's not like Darrow was trying to 'spin' the story like Eliza said; he simply wanted everyone to know the truth, that the technology was intended for good, but that he Illuminati had planned to use it for evil more or less. Blowing the station up would just have protected the Illuminati in the end. Fuck the Illuminati.[/sp]
Why is the game permanently night time?
because deus ex
Beat the game, watched all the endings, immediately went to youtube search the endings I didn't know it was possible to be spoiled AFTER beating a game, but I was It involved [sp]Bob Page's dialogue after the credits[/sp]
Why is the game permanently night time?
Reinforces the tone of the game. Dark, shadowy conspiracies; dark, shadowy settings.
So how do I beat Talion AD? I found the dead guys pocket secretary but I have no idea which sewer to go to. I'm not getting a map marker
Reinforces the tone of the game. Dark, shadowy conspiracies; dark, shadowy settings.
While this is true it's not ALWAYS set during night. The first time you visit Hengsha it's day time, but because you're in the underside of the city you can't see the sun. When you get above the top layer you see daylight, though. And the very last portion of the game is set during day time.
So how do I beat Talion AD? I found the dead guys pocket secretary but I have no idea which sewer to go to. I'm not getting a map marker
Go to the sewers nearest to Alice Garden Pods
So how do I beat Talion AD? I found the dead guys pocket secretary but I have no idea which sewer to go to. I'm not getting a map marker
It's not supposed to be given to you. Remember the side quest where you had to [sp]rescue Ning from the garage where Harvesters were keeping her?[/sp] On the lower level of that, there's like a sewage/waste area. Around the middle and to the left there's a manhole. That's where you have to go.
No wonder Sarif Industries was attacked at the start, check what the FUCKING GENIUS EMPLOYEES DO TO REMEMBER PASSWORDS. [editline]31st August 2011[/editline]
am I the only one that gives a shit about the ARG?
That's fake. The real URL is 13311tower not 11311tower, that URL was also registered today.
During my return to Detroit I had an email from a disgruntled employee saying that there had been a lot of office break ins and thefts. WELL, GUESS WHAT, MISTER?! I'M THE HEAD OF SECURITY! IT WAS A TEST, AND YOU GUYS FAILED! Maybe if your god damned offices weren't so easy to hack (I mean all I had to do was nearly die, get military grade augments, and then spend ages upgrading their hacking software! It's not that hard guys, geeze!) I wouldn't have broken in and stolen everything to... uhh... teach you a lesson.

[/sp] [editline]30th August 2011[/editline] Nevermind I'm late.

I know why he hates Jensen now at least.
Just finished up the first proper mission, bloody brilliant game so far. Managed to [sp]defuse the hostages bomb with under a second to spare like I was John fuckin' Mclane or something, and headshot tranq'd Zeke to save Rosie[/sp] so I think it went pretty well :v:
[sp] John McClane would have shot the chemical canister to defuse it. (You can do that).[/sp]
I propose a challenge for you fine gentlemen: 3rd boss. Chipped up. Hardest difficulty. Unupgrade pistol only. No augs.
Using just a pistol for the entire game sounds really fun. I might try that. I could sell all my other guns and ammo and just buy pistol ammo Except that stores run out of stock of ammo pretty quick which sucks :( [editline]31st August 2011[/editline]
Also, [sp]waiting for the slow lift in the picus building[/sp] is easy as hell. I just blocked the doors with heavy objects and went to get a drink while I waited :v:
even easier and more fun, i just stood at the door and killed everybody

So I finished this last night. Great game, I had a lot of fun. Played through the entire thing stealth mode until [sp]I got to the 'zombies' part.[/sp] The last boss fight was a bit disappointing though, probably the buggiest fight in the game. I had no idea what to do so [sp]after I killed the three slaves I just spammed grenades at the glass holding what's her face, eventually it broke and I used typhoons to kill her.[/sp] Great game though. Considering playing through it again going guns blazing.

I've been playing a psuedo-stealth brawler, generally being sneaky but if I'm spotted I'll explode everyone's faces with my fists rather than quickload. Focusing on stealth and badass face-explosion related augs doesn't leave much for hacking though. Am I gimping my Adam?
Human Revolution had a lot of good quotes in it. "Technology offers us strength, strength enables dominance, and dominance paves the way for abuse."

I ended up being able to hack basically EVERYTHING I found with a level 4 hacking skill until quite close to the end of the game (maybe... 3 or 4 hours from the end I finally maxed out hacking just for the hell of it).
I went through the entire game with no hacking upgrades made it very, very interesting
is the game not launching for anyone else it just hangs on launch for me now wtf

Okay so I was afraid to come into this thread, coz I haven't got the game yet. What's the music in the live action trailer called?
I wish you got XP for using passwords and codes, finding them feels at more fulfilling than just hacking.
God Bless Two Digit passwords in Deus Ex
