It said it was a [sp] quantum computer slaved to human drones in the quest description, I don't think its made out of brains. But then again, why would it need three girls to sustain itself? Eliza didn't need a host body.[/sp]
Because video games, doesn't really matter why it works because it was just plain cool.
I just got to the part where [sp]I find Malik dead on the Harvester's Hideout. Fuck, that shit got me sad :/[/sp]
Wait what? Really? Where in?
Because video games, doesn't really matter why it works because it was just plain cool.
It was a pretty lame fight, and an even more lame thing to find in the heart of Pankhia. [editline]31st August 2011[/editline]
I just got to the part where [sp]I find Malik dead on the Harvester's Hideout. Fuck, that shit got me sad :/[/sp]
Saving her is easy as fuck, do it.
Why is the game permanently night time?
It's supposed to span across 1-2 days I believe. When you get to the [sp]Tai Yong Medical building[/sp] it's morning.
I disagree. Look at him whine about the UN hearing, and about Taggart. Compare that with his Chinese counterpart. Now she is alpha. Beta to the Illuminati and other power players. Of course, humans have greater social range than animals, and so you could describe it as he is an alpha within his corporation, and externally less so.
The mistake you're making is that you're making the mental connection of raving lunatic = alpha :v: Zhao, his 'Chinese counterpart' is an Alpha, sure, no doubt about that - but she's also fucking insane! Alphas can express concern, can back down, can accept defeat and concede their side. You don't ALWAYS, in 100% of circumstances have to display ONE personality type and that's it in order to be that personality type. But in terms of which type he dominantly displays I'd say David Sarif is an Alpha. Of course he was feeling a bit fearful and worried during the course of the game, but then again... [sp]wouldn't you be too if you knew you'd suddenly got caught up as the enemy of the fucking Illuminati?[/sp]
I just got to the part where [sp]I find Malik dead on the Harvester's Hideout. Fuck, that shit got me sad :/[/sp]
[sp]that feel when you save her[/sp]
WHAT was there a choice? [sp]As soon as I got behind the guys she said goodbye and I thought she was already dead[/sp] Fuck, will I really have to go all the way back there
[sp] Just stay there and kill them all, its not like you have to do what she tells you. If you manage to kill all in time, she'll live.[/sp]
WHAT was there a choice? [sp]As soon as I got behind the guys she said goodbye and I thought she was already dead[/sp] Fuck, will I really have to go all the way back there
If she says good bye then you have already failed. you need to be faster.
If she says good bye then you have already failed. you need to be faster.
You have quite some time, you can start as soon as they drop you on the roof above her. And kill the heavies first, they do the most damage to her.
You have quite some time, you can start as soon as they drop you on the roof above her. And kill the heavies first, they do the most damage to her.
Actually, no, if she says good bye then your time is up. She first tells you to just escape, then if you take too much time she gives you the "goodbye" speech.
Well, I finally beat Namir. I had to constantly run away and I used every bullet, grenade and mine I had, but I beat him. Terribly designed fights, these. In a lesser game they wouldn't be as noticeable but in this it's a jarring drop in quality.

In this game, however, you can still hide from the bosses and they will lose track of you. [sp]If you took the new bio-chip, however, it's extremely difficult to tell if you are in hostile mode or alert mode[/sp].
I had to beat Namir without [sp] augs and HUD, because I was stupid enough to have visited the LIMB clinic when Pritchard told me to.[/sp]

Anybody else notice that there is a still shot from the CGI trailer on Sarif's wall?
Anybody else notice that there is a still shot from the CGI trailer on Sarif's wall?
Yeah, all of the dudes standing around Icarus' body (or Jensen in the trailer). It actually pops up a few times through the game. Usually as paintings in apartments that conceal 'hidden' safes.
Quick question about the first Deus Ex, why is it that I can beat down a door with 50% strength but not 25%? I know I'm missing something but I have no idea what.
Wait, there are hidden safes?
lol derp
Is there a way to load a chapter? I didn't save when I got to the [sp]crash site[/sp], only a quick save. :/
There isn't I'm afraid. Just play over again and remember to save fly girl.

Please tell me the achievement for the sidequest about the warrior priest is in Hengsha the 2nd visit round? Also, I left [sp]the PI to die in Riot stricken Detroit. I would've helped him kill itself, but then I realised he'd died by my hand and I want this fucking Pacifist achievement.[/sp]
[sp]You could've saved him. CASIE aug helps. You let him die you monster.[/sp]
I only just learnt that the Social Aug gives you new options. It was either no morphine, or morphine and he kills himself. Please tell me this doesn't count towards the Pacifist achievement.
After finishing the game I'm rethinking what the best weapons for my next replay should be. Ammo needs to be vastly available. Can't tell if machine pistol ammo is more common than the combat rifle's. Revolver with explosive mun seems to be godlike. Sucks so much that there is no trainer to get everything fully upgraded, I can't even compare all weapons this way.
I used the frag revolver for almost all of my playthrough, I kept the one Sarif gave me in the beginning. It is an incredibly powerful weapon, but ammo is really rare, and its not valuable as a primary. If you go for straight up combat, it'll run out of ammo, if you go for stealth, it'll reveal your position. I'd recommend the pistol, its very fun to use, and can headshot any unalerted enemy silently with the penetration upgrade, and if you put some damage upgrades on it, it will even work on endgame opponents. You also won't run out of ammo. And it really supports stealth.

It has lower damage I believe, but it also supports the seeker upgrade, laser and silencer. And its obviously smaller, the size of weapons doesn't increase when you upgrade them. I didn't use it too much because the automatic weapons in this game feel very spray-y to me, and I like being a one-shot badass sneaky motherfucker.
