I couldn't [sp]Save Malik non-lethally. Destroying the box-guard killed men, couldn't be done.[/sp]
[sp]just distract it until you've killed all the guards, then fight it. As long as you get it to focus on you, you'll have plenty of time.[/sp]
I like this explanation for the endings and which is canon: [sp]Sarif ending: Everyone that can afford it becomes augmented. This creates a society of haves and have-nots. Only augs are really able to get a job since it is foolish to hire a non aug. Not canon. Hugh: Similar to Tong's ending in Deus Ex one. Society crumbles due to a great mistrust of authority. Small city states are created at the expense of organization. Not canon. Tagert: Hinders augmentation significantly. Good because knife arms are most likely going to be outlawed. Bad because every augmentation will need to go through months of deliberation by government officials. May possibly be canon, but the self destruct ending is more likely to be canon (see the next part) Self-Destruct: This ending allows people to make their own choices. After the events caused by Hugh's broadcast, the few surviving augments will be fearful of getting more augments. Those who don't have augments will avoid being augmented entirely. The private augmentation industry would die, but the government contract section of the augmentation industry (like Project D) thrives. This explains why so few people have augmentations in Deus Ex 1.[/sp]
Really? I took out everybody with the tazer..
This. Tranq rifle and tazer. I even managed to blow up the bot without killing anyone, you guessed it...with the frag revolver.
Can someone explain the [sp]Chimera virus Page and Megan were talking about in the after-credits dialogue?[/sp]
Chimera genetics is about reproduction or something so it probably refers to [sp]the creation of the Dentons. For all we know, Megan could have done no work on the Grey Death at all. So she probably isn't nearly as evil as people make her out to be[/sp]
Haha, I loved the Left 4 Dead reference in the credits.
I couldn't [sp]Save Malik non-lethally. Destroying the box-guard killed men, couldn't be done.[/sp]
Avatar fits.
Have to say, I was expecting another Invisible War. I was stunned at this, it surpassed my expectations - I'd actually say it is on the same level as the original. It was genuinely fun, the shooting felt good, as did the stealth. The augs were done nicely, too. I'm gonna have to go and play it again on hard as opposed to normal, and try a pacifist run. I'd love a remake of the original with the technology from this one though, the helijet makes the chopper on Deus Ex obsolete, and the guns are much more elaborate. Also, the endings were cool, too. I think that I agree with [sp]Taggart's[/sp] ending the most. Also, had a nice soundtrack - reminiscent of the original, and I liked a few of the references - like I found a spam email from a rich Nigerian businessman.
What exactly makes Invisible War so bad that people hate it that much?
I don't know why people are having trouble with [sp]saving malik, even on pacifist. I just ran around while cloaked zapping everyone with the stungun. I threw a single emp at the robot, then just tranqed the remaining stragglers up above.[/sp] That was on Deus Ex difficulty too. [editline]31st August 2011[/editline]
What exactly makes Invisible War so bad that people hate it that much?
linearity
What exactly makes Invisible War so bad that people hate it that much?
The universal ammo was a good concept, but quite a few people (me included) really didn't like it. Also, things like the way it chucks you into the environment with next to no info - you are forced into choice too early. The UI was hideous, too. I liked DX1's, but IW just had a really clunky interface. Finally, the removal of skills, though I think that HR managed to pull it off well without them. Also, I didn't actually know that it was possible to [sp]not save Malik[/sp] I just kind of instinctively go for the good guy option, in that I wouldn't [sp]leave her behind[/sp]
Don't watch this if you haven't got to Panchea yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNwqzdqT9Yg Isn't this the coolest cutscene in the game? [editline]31st August 2011[/editline]
I'd love a remake of the original with the technology from this one though, the helijet makes the chopper on Deus Ex obsolete, and the guns are much more elaborate.
What would a remake achieve? Is it necessary? Remakes don't let characters evolve and they don't let stories develop.
What would a remake achieve? Is it necessary? Remakes don't let characters evolve and they don't let stories develop.
Not necessary, but I just like the concept. It's essentially the way that HR managed to kindle my nostalgia, and I really like the idea of playing a remastered original with all the technology improved to a standard consistant with HRs. Things like how the plasma rifle are stated to be common by 2020 in human revolution, yet the first time you see one (providing you don't attack Paul) is much further in the game. Maybe the 4th ending of Human Revolution [sp]the ocean pressure crushing[/sp] makes the most sense.
Hypothetical alternate ending retarded speculation here: [sp]For the majority of the game I, as well as some other people on here from what I read, was expecting a betrayal by Sarif. I mean, they shady way he did some things, the government contracts; it all lead to suspicion that he had ulterior motives. However, at the ending of the game, we came to realize he was actually a good man. A great man who really did try to do his best to help others. Maybe it was wayward the way he did it, but he still meant well. Now, with that new found trust and respect in mind, it would have been an awesome ending if he did end up betraying you. You would use his ending and then as you are about to leave with him; he shuts down your leg implants. He'll smile a half sorry smile but explains that "you're too much of a liability" and "could jeopardize this new future you have opened up for him."[/sp] [sp]"I'm sorry son. But it has to be this way." You pull out his gun as he starts walking away, the infrastructure of the facility breaking apart due to neglect. Aim it right at him. He turns to run. The man you've come to respect. The one who pushed you so far. The one who, despite everything, was looking out for you. Put your finger on the trigger. He is almost on the bird out of there. Just a few more steps to go....[/sp] [sp]And he flys away with the facility crumbling down around you. This ending would probably be based on your morality. Killed a lot of dudes; you would end up shooting Sarif because killing him doesn't affect you too much. If you took the pacifist route, you wouldn't be able to make the shot.[/sp] [editline]31st August 2011[/editline] Well, its just speculation anyways.
Imagine yourself in the situation of hacking a large server. What would you need? Well I don't know what to say, but I found this stash behind a breakable wall.
Where is that?
Fuck, I loved the endings.
People don't seem to believe the developers when they say the conversations are dynamic. Hell, i've seen achievment guides where they just say "So you go Empathize X 3, then Plead to get him to believe you" and then loads of comments saying "I CHOSE WAT U SED BUT HE JUS SHOT HER!!!" [editline]31st August 2011[/editline] You know what would make good DLC? Playing as each of the bosses. You get a fresh aug setup, it fleshes out their character and motivations more, and you get to find out what they were doing through the events of the game.
That's weird because I'm playing the game again and every conversation has been exactly the same for me, same choices and everything getting the same results.
I just beat the game chose the [sp]Sarif[/sp] ending, cause that's what I like the most. I think it'd be cool to not [sp]Having to worry about bad augments and stuff[/sp]. Anyways, when I was in Shanghai, I found some crossbow bolts in those garage door things. Where the hell is the crossbow?
I found a crossbow in [sp]Singapore[/sp], but I read that there's supposed to be one in Detroit. Correction, you can keep the one you get [sp]when you do the quest for the undercover prostitute in Detroit as long as you recover the murder weapon.[/sp]

Dont know if anybody has talked about this, but does anyone find it kinda cool yet odd how were playing as someone from our generation? Like hes only 2 years older than me if I was in 2027 :v:

There were no other exits and entrances other than that wall you just broke. Also, is that a bottle of lube next to a box of tissues I see there?
