Deus Ex: Human Revolution V3 - I Never Asked For This

I kinda wish all your energy recharged by itself, it doesn't make you feel as powerful when you have to keep shoving candy bars in your mouth in order to punch evil dudes at a reasonable pace.
Now that I come to think about it, I hope Adam's need for food to power his augments is exaggerated for gameplay reasons. I can just imagine Adam sneaking down a corridor. Suddenly, a unsuspecting guard approaches! Adam slips into the shadows easily, draws his pistol. His arm whirrs gently, polished plates slide back silently to reveal one of the most deadly, razor-sharp blades available. His augmented brain computes angles and vectors, the guard's death is planned in a nanosecond without him even realizing. Adam shifts, ready to pounce. But first, he takes out his lunchbox and shoves a fuckton of chocolate in his gob!
Dont know if anybody has talked about this, but does anyone find it kinda cool yet odd how were playing as someone from our generation? Like hes only 2 years older than me if I was in 2027 :v:
That's how I felt too. :v:

most likely, it's probably for the same reason it's always night time.
People don't seem to believe the developers when they say the conversations are dynamic. Hell, i've seen achievment guides where they just say "So you go Empathize X 3, then Plead to get him to believe you" and then loads of comments saying "I CHOSE WAT U SED BUT HE JUS SHOT HER!!!"
The conversations do change, I failed to convince Da[sp]rrow[/sp] once and reloaded the game, the conversation was very different.

[sp]A little while. I think you're on the last major mission.[/sp] Also, spoiler that shit!

I am two years older than him

he is taller than me though!!

[sp]Last major mission? At the port? He has Singapore and the Panchea left. Game clumps them into one mission but they're both long enough to be two.[/sp]
There's a lua script for Cheat Engine that'll add +1% battery each time a complete battery is recharged, meaning all batteries will recharge at the stock game pace.

This comment makes me feel older than it should.
When I was in that room, I kept wondering how the person living there managed to get in and out. There were no other exits and entrances other than that wall you just broke.
Also, is that a bottle of lube next to a box of tissues I see there?
I wondered the same thing.

I'm more worried as to what's on the bed

True enough, but you don't visit a hub between them.
I was wondering, does the augment edition of the game has all the ingame DLC like the grenade launcher, extra mission and such or is it limited to pre-orders only?
I feel like buying it now since I played it on my friend's steam account (he lent me his account, of course) and it played quite alright on my craptop on low settings and I fell in love with the game having played the first one to bits. Kinda regret not pre-ordering the game now. =\
I'm gonna ask this again since its been 100 pages and it hasn't been answered. Does being detected aka the radar says "Hostile" count as an alarm going off, also, if the alarm is already off, does it count aswell? I haven't been detected up until now when I'm in the [sp]Tai Yong Penthouse[/sp].

Try finding alarm panels and see if it any one of them has turned red
Try finding alarm panels and see if it any one of them has turned red
I've not seen anyone set one of the alarms on me. But yet I hear alarms, like when they are automatically turned on, where theres no way to stop that, AKA in the Sarif Industries factory where you [sp]take down Zeke[/sp]. Some of the alarms are already on, and you can't turn them off.
I just found [sp]Maliks corpse in the Harvester base. I knocked out everybody around there (while preserving my Ghost rating) and piled them about her corpse. I hope she likes my offering.[/sp]
:smith:
I'm just wondering if when my radar goes red and it says Hostile if it will ruin the achievement for me.
not getting all the comparisons to metal gear myself, granted I haven't played much of metal gear solid but the story reads like it was written by a 13 year old with downs syndrome

if it goes hostile it means you've been detected
alarmed is the step before, they know you're around but it doesn't actually count as detected and you still get xp for the ghost reward

That's pretty neat. There are times in the game where energy consumables are practically non-existent and having only one battery after you've used all the others is a bit restrictive.

yet, nobody post a 100% working trainer.
i wish they put console and cheats on some update

Being Hostile means the enemies have 100% definitely seen you, and are shooting you. It doesn't mean the alarm has gone off, but someone'll likely go and set it off.

This might be interesting to get.
I basically played the entire game with only the 1 battery.

the AI in this game has something I like to call "MGS Syndrome", where they will see a body, go "oh my god", crowd around it, look around, and act like nothing ever happened. Then I'll headshot another one from around the corner with my silenced pistol and it all starts again. MGS Syndrome. It actually made me feel like I was playing MGS2 or 3.
Played silenced laser sight armor-piercing 10mm run, as sneaky as possible. Entirely lethal too, killed or knocked out every single guard I saw. Sections took forever doing the above paragraph.

They also don't notice new objects.
I could understand not noticing a box that was moved a little, but when they turn around, and there's a massive crate fort behind them. they should be suspicious :v:

The compound and bad-guy aesthetic are very similar between DXHR and MGS's. MGS also was known to utilize a color filiter keeping the pallet to a certain tone, much like DXHR. MGS also has a high emphisis on sneaking and infiltration, but yet offers that tactical-action oriented approach to combat much like DXHR. I.E. you can go guns blazing in both games, but that is very hard to do. You can also do "pacifist" runs in MGS much like in DXHR, using only knockouts and weapons that stun.
DXHR has a larger emphisis on exploration and RPG elements however, while MGS does not. MGS levels are also generally made with a Crysis2-style of level design, in that there are linearly set goals with a set path, but the paths offer a high degree of wiggle room and creativity on how you wish to accomplish them.
And I don't know about the first two games, but MGS3 (which is also highly similar to DXHR in that it too is a prequel that stands on its own) had an absolutly incredible story, if you can get past the fact that some bosses had a small degree of supernatural powers to them. IMO MGS3 easily has one of the best endings to any video game I've ever played, and features one of the best boss fights to any video game I've ever played (the boss "The End").
Thats also one thing, is that MGS has excellent boss fights for the most part (at least for MGS3+4 which is what I've played). The bosses have character, they are apropreate, paced well and are creative to fight against. Not to mention it works well with the gameplay for the most part. You can even kill them via stunning in MGS3. While this has the same effect cinimatic wise, it is generally harder to do during the fight and will also reward you with a secret unlockable suit for each boss that all have some pretty interesting perks (like if you stun-kill The End you get a suit that regenerates your stamina whenever you are in the sun). This stuff also carries over in a new game+
MGS4 has similarly good gameplay but there is a much higher emphisis on cinematics (whcih are really well done so I can't complain). The game also plays much more linearly on the second half of the game. This is more of a fault with it trying to tie up a huge list of loose ends the 2nd game spawned than anything though. The story here was also pretty good, but pretty convoluted due to the above reason.
EDIT: oh and the overall themes between the two stories are pretty similar too. PMC involvement, government control, secret conspiracies (though not as heavy on this as DX is), etc.

I know right
or not noticing every locker in a room was opened
or noticing that a door is open

Or that the refrigerator in the corner of the room is covered in blood, and slowly moving towards them.
If you lived in 2027 you wouldn't be suspicious of shit moving.
They live in an era of augmented crates that move whenever not looked at.

It is going to end up like Terminator. Except they are quieter and scarier.
