I think there was a tutorial built in the app
Can someone give me a hint on how to [sp]kill Barret, the augmented bloke you meet in the factory?[/sp] Having only a tranquiliser rifle, a stun gun, a handful of grenades and a super-tacticool silenced laser-sighted damage-improved increased rate-of-fired armour-piercing pistol isn't all too helpful in[sp] killing him[/sp] from my attempts.
I beat the third boss by dragging a turret into the room. :smug:

[sp]Throw frags, then throw barrels.[/sp]
[sp]only because you thought she was dead, considering she's alive i'd say they're still together? i mean he did go through so much to find out she's alive and then rescue her[/sp]
They were apart before the prolouge.

I used [sp]flashbangs to pin him down,[/sp] although it did mean [sp]'wasting' a praxis on the anti-flash aug.[/sp]

i used 2 concussion nades, just hide behind a crate and throw one at him, run up to his face and just fire until he pulls his gun out again, repeat. You dont even really need the anti-flash aug although i can imagine it makes it quicker (you're only blinded for like 2 seconds from it, while he's blinded for about 10)
So I just beat [sp]Federova and got to my apartment and met Sarif, how far am I in the game?[/sp]
~50%
I've got a fully upgraded 10 mm pistol but i can't find ammo anywhere...
Have to say, I was expecting another Invisible War. I was stunned at this, it surpassed my expectations - I'd actually say it is on the same level as the original.
It was genuinely fun, the shooting felt good, as did the stealth. The augs were done nicely, too.
I'm gonna have to go and play it again on hard as opposed to normal, and try a pacifist run.
I'd love a remake of the original with the technology from this one though, the helijet makes the chopper on Deus Ex obsolete, and the guns are much more elaborate.
Also, the endings were cool, too.
I think that I agree with [sp]Taggart's[/sp] ending the most.
Also, had a nice soundtrack - reminiscent of the original, and I liked a few of the references - like I found a spam email from a rich Nigerian businessman.
I agree with [sp]Taggart[/sp] but I don't agree with [sp]his ending[/sp]
Dont know if anybody has talked about this, but does anyone find it kinda cool yet odd how were playing as someone from our generation? Like hes only 2 years older than me if I was in 2027 :v:
he is 4 years older than me D:
I agree with [sp]Taggart[/sp] but I don't agree with [sp]his ending[/sp]
[sp]Sarif's ending made me the happiest, shitting on the Illuminati and reaching Godhood[/sp]

Yeah, lol. There is no one with 10mm in the last missions

I have one damn question. Who is that guy in the game opening cutscene? The very very first cutscene. Illiminati?
I hated how the batteries never recharge past the first one, I ended up not buying the rest of them and learning to survive just with the one.
I was an eco-friendly assassin :v:
I'm assuming each ending could technically have the ability to become canon, since they are all open ended enough to cause the events of Deus Ex [sp]since Elisa only said the possible outcomes of sending out each message, not what will happen set in stone. With the Darrow ending, everyone can just see him as a madman when he rambles about the Illuminati, so they aren't aware of them in Deus Ex, then use the biochip scenario to point out the flaws in human augmentation, which causes dissent towards it, and the Taggart message was just the Darrow message without mention of Illuminati. In the Sarif ending, they can still try to heavily regulate/ban the augmentation industry since it was flawed enough to allow terrorists to easily hack into everyone with augmentations across the globe and drive them to madness. Then with the self-destruct ending, the only thing that the people know is that everyone with augs suddenly went insane, and before that they still needed neuropozyne to keep their body from rejecting the augs, which would still give a negative opinion on augs.[/sp]
I'm still assuming they won't pick the [sp]self-destruct[/sp] ending to be canon, so they can pump out a bit of DLC (unless [sp]they set everything before the Panchea incident, which I don't think would really work since I'm assuming all the events of the game happened within a relatively short timespan, or somehow Jensen survives the explosion[/sp]), but every other ending could still give the same post-credit results [sp]while still keeping Jensen alive[/sp].

It's [sp]Bob Page, from the first game. He's part of the Illuminati during HR.[/sp]

Ninja'd.
Dogmentation :v:
I went through this whole game without realising you could bypass lasers by turning on cloak...
I got a question answered!
http://eidosmontreal.tumblr.com/post/9665821847/is-it-safe-to-assume-general-oneill-is-canadian
Q: Is it safe to assume General O'Neill is Canadian? Considering his Land Forces Command badge and Crowns on his uniform
A: Very astute. You are right on the money.
In the future, the Canadian Armed Forces will shed its Airforce and Navy in favor of typhoon and cloaking-augmented ninja Canucks.
Nobody will ever make fun of us again, eh?
That’s in fact what the follow up to DX:HR will be aboot.
Spoiler alert!
Oups, too late…Merde!

It's mentioned in one of the loading tips. And people say the loading screen tips are useless.

I only got "more advanced hacking stuff requires a higher than lvl 1 hacking skill" on every loading screen
I went through this whole game without realising you could bypass lasers by turning on cloak...
Lol, I'm pretty sure they wrote in the Loading Screen that you can do that.

Motherfucking ninja's everywhere

Most of them are useless. I didn't learn I the full function of a few augs until the stuff popped up on the loading screen.

Nah they were just using the cloaking aug.
I want to be in the augmentation/prosthetics business.
Maybe I finally know what to be when I grow up
Shitload of footage prolly ended up being cut.

You know, I think the game is really great, but every time I see this trailer I think the game is just good, if not merely above average, compared to what it could have been.
Hm. Whoever said you could capture the red nodes in the hacking mini-game was either lying or didn't tell me how I could. Even when undetected, I could never really capture the red node no matter how many times I tried.
Maybe it's possible in a different game version? :c
Does the [sp]part where you rescue Malik[/sp] or any of the boss fights count towards the Foxiest of Hounds achievement?
It's mentioned in one of the loading tips. And people say the loading screen tips are useless.
Huh. I just disabled them using my Stun Gun. Didn't think lasers would be fooled by some guy bending light around him :v

Are you sure it wasn't a one way path between you and the red node? A lot of the times there is.
Does the [sp]part where you rescue Malik[/sp] or any of the boss fights count towards the Foxiest of Hounds achievement?
For boss fights, it's a free for all, no barrings.
[sp] For Malik, I'm unsure to be honest. If it starts you off as 'Hostile', then it doesn't count. [/sp]
It's mentioned in one of the loading tips. And people say the loading screen tips are useless.
yeah and it didnt show up until the last level!
