and it makes sense, does it not? On easier difficulties, you don't need as much ammo as you might on harder ones
Exactly, especially when you can headshot everyone with the 10mm, and hoard everything else. (For Boss fights obviously)
Not really, I had around 30 most of the time, actually, I had a shitload of ammo, hoarded like a mofo, 30 STOP! Viruses and 40 NUKE viruses.
That all? I had like 60 STOPs and 80 NUKEs. Only ever used them on level 5 systems :v:
That's because of your specs, not the game. I was having minor stuttering as well (6 year old system), so I overclocked my card a bit and turned off pre-rendered frames, and it went away. What's your specs?
3GB of RAM Nvidia GTX 460 AMD Phemon II X4 965 Processor (I have about four)
Did it on Normal and had the same amount of ammo
play it both on DE and Easy difficulty and tell me if you get the same amount of ammo, I wanna know this
Played on Deus Ex and always had enough ammo. Did a lot of exploring and melee though.
That all? I had like 60 STOPs and 80 NUKEs. Only ever used them on level 5 systems :v:
I hacked everything what could've been hacked, I started using them for the lols by the end, so got a bit less. But wasted the STOP one's in the game, since I had reduction to 15% on most of them, and getting traced on 15% is just bad fucking luck.. First thing I did after the first mission, got the Hacking upgrade, and hacked everything in Sarif Industries, like a baws. Good thing no one cared. Head of Security hacking into everyone's doors and PC's.
I'm doing the game on "tell me a story" (yeah i'm bad at this game, but I mainly play it for the awesome storyline) and pretty much all the ammo i find is for either pistol, machine pistol or the combat rifle. Guess nonlethal takedowns aren't that endorsed in that difficulty level. I'm okay with it though, going to start a new playthrough on a harder difficulty right after I beat the game once.
I don't come to this thread much since release because I don't want to get spoiled but today I encountered the following guy as I was hacking into a storage room. This guy was on the phone talking and mentioned "I see someone with some really nice augs he might make a good target" I shit my pants and stopped hacking. Turned around looked at him and he said "You won't be needing those legs much longer." That storage locker is the only one I still haven't opened.
I started with the tranq rifle... it's nice at first but I ended up selling it, stun gun is much more useful and actually has decent range (i thought it was going to be melee range) sniper rifles in general weren't very useful, imo. i wasn't doing non lethal so i used my silenced pistol for basically fuckin everything. maxed out the damage w/ armor piercing, and it has incredible range

It may be me, but the stun gun seems miles noisier.
play it both on DE and Easy difficulty and tell me if you get the same amount of ammo, I wanna know this
Will do right after my non-lethal run. But DainBramageStudio already said that he found the same amount that I found on Deus ex. So on easy the ammo is hard to come by?? doesn't sound right...
Why would anyone go non lethal. If I was Adam, I'd be fucking pissed off and kill everyone. [sp]Stupid achievements.[/sp]
Why would anyone go non lethal. If I was Adam, I'd be fucking pissed off and kill everyone. [sp]Stupid achievements.[/sp]
Actually, its kind of fun sneaking around when the enemy doesn't even have a clue that you are there. I nearly didn't have any contact with enemies and I'm in the news building right now.
maggie chow in deus ex 1 is fucking terrible at deception, you can hear the MJ12 troops behind her wall if you go into the elavator and she has a computer with the MJ12 logo on it as well so I shot her in the face and threw her out of her 8th floor window
And I had like 5+ Praxis points available all the time, well mostly because I would upgrade when I need to, so I don't fuck up. And I think I finished the game with like 4 points remaining, what a waste. I was hoping I could go around Detroit after finishing, like I'm used to in GTA games :(
and it makes sense, does it not? On easier difficulties, you don't need as much ammo as you might on harder ones
No I mean even on DX difficulty it's not that hard to conserve ammo. [sp]Stupid achievements.[/sp]
Because going lethal in a stealth game is for philistines.
really
Running out of ammo wasn't really a problem for me in the game, i played on the 'Give me a challenge' difficulty, but if there's one thing that would really screw me over, is if i had no EMP grenade when i encountered a security bot/MECH.
my friends keep saying malik is lesbian thats a motherfucking lie. if my friend got killed because of a douche like that lee dude, I'd want him arrested too. he's saying just because she wanted revenge that she was lesbians for her friend. bullshit.
I used the Traq for my entire stealth playthrough (albeit with a huge amount of my knockouts as takedowns) and never had trouble with darts. On my KILL EVERYTHING playthrough, I've been only using the pistol. One shot to the face kills everything.
Tranq/Stun combo is the most useful. It may be me, but the stun gun seems miles noisier.
I think it technically makes no noise, even those that electricity sound is pretty loud.
my puny friends started on normal, I wanted deus ex, not some easy game :v: the bosses kicked my ass in the beggining, though.
I've never played the first Deus Ex
I know its a day late, but seriously guys? How can someone be dumb just because they didn't do something?
do you need a ton of ammo on easy?
I don't need a lot of ammo at all... Then again, I'm not the type who play on easy settings. Easy should not punish players who play on that difficulty... it should be, well, easy.
Well after 45 hours I finally finished the game. Amazing. Finished it with only 10 praxis points missing so I nearly actually had everything. Chose the [sp]Sarif[/sp] ending. Only faults that I had with the game is that I wish [sp]You found out what happened to everyone, Mailk, Prichard etc[/sp] and that I wish there was a bit more randomness to the game, like in Detroit when you found a random dead hobo, would of been cool if a few apartments had stuff like that or people in them, more people you could have conversations with. Other than that, it was brilliant.
Agreed, beat it last night in 36 hours and actually had enough praxis points for everything (I explored this game like crazy), and I hate how [sp]it doesn't say what happened to the characters after the ending. [/sp]I fucking HATE that. [sp]Boss, cutscene, rollcredskthxbai[/sp]
