Sarif has a 4 year degree in criminal justice... what?
... from 2 different universities...
This might be just me, but for anyone here who has religiously played the Dystopia mod for HL2... did anyone else see the uncanny resemblences between the Panchea starting area and the starting area for Dys_Silo from Dystopia? The vents access, the pathway to the left that require jumping augs to reach...
Pretty awesome! Obviously they are different enough to not be straight copies but it seemed really similar and tickled a little bit of nostalgia for me :)
Sorry I don't have a pic. Really hard to find a good picture of the entrance to Dys_Silo online :(
Could be that they used the same place as reference.
HD 4670
4GB ram
2.7ghz

hoping I'll be able to run this at 40-50 fps?
... from 2 different universities...
They're the same ones in jensens office.
I've never played the first Deus Ex
you're missing
the fuck
out
They're the same ones in jensens office.
So why does Jensen have the same degree from two different universities?
man every fucking time that TV commercial for this game comes on, I still think its badass. Every. Time.
[sp]I remember reading that email. I can't believe that was never brought up... didn't someone even mention this to Adam? Said something like "they did other evil things to your body" and it was never brought up again[/sp]
The private eye guy in a later side-quest tells him. Adam doesn't seem to care so whatever I guess.
2 questions
Where can I find the guy with the "Human revolutions" glitch
And, was it fixed in the full version.
So why does Jensen have the same degree from two different universities?
Not the point.
Why does a billionaire CEO have a 4 year degree in criminal law?
I'd kind of like for comedy to be playing on the TV's instead of the news. Like a man with an augmented arm is supporting his wife as she gives birth. She's holding his hand then she squeezes so hard that his super arm is crushed
wow I forgot how amazing these trailers are

That be one shitty future where augmentations are made of plastic.
I take it that sitcom would take place after [sp]Taggart's[/sp] ending.
Just finished the game. Watched all the credits.
[sp]Megan! You back stabbing daughter of a bitch![/sp]
Is it possible to find [sp]Taggart[/sp] after jumping down the giant hole to the machine rooms on [sp]panchea[/sp]? Or have I fucked it now I've done that?
currently i'm trying to build a staircase of boxes to what appears to be a ladder

Have you tried searching for the elevator?

Should be. I entered in a different way, but I think there should be a door in the place you land.
also yes; you can still find him.
Not the point.

Lots of people work in fields that have nothing to do with their tertiary education. On the other hand, it's impossible to get the same degree from 2 different universities.
But it's moot anyway, since the degrees don't even have names on them.
I just arrived at Hengsha for the second time. Why did [sp]Zeke try to kill me after I let him go at the beginning of the game? Is it just because he's a good for nothing bastard? I couldn't save his brother from committing suicide. One of the few times my pheromones failed me.[/sp]
If you reply to my question, do not add any spoilers past the point of the game I am in.

[sp] Like I said earlier, mostly because a riot broke out with a bunch of anti-aug people. He runs PF, an organized anti-aug group (SEE: Terrorists). Figured he could weasel his way back to being a dummy with a gun. [/sp]
I played too much and now "human" arms just seem weird to me.
What a shame we don't have augmentations in this day and age.
Soon.
I like the raving 'prohpet' in the backstreets of Detroit, near the basketball court, and his 'predictions', like the Gray Death and the Illuminati. Quite entertaining :v:
Did anyone else get[sp]extremely suspicious if not convinced Eliza wasn't a real person when her office number was 404? Little things like that make me love this game even more than I do already.[/sp]
Finally beat this game. I really wish they would have done an approach similar to DX1 instead of what they did here - the last level really did feel rushed for something so damn epic. Though really I can't blame them - the game is long as fuck, I'm at the 40 hour mark on a GMDX difficulity and Pacifist run.
[sp]Picked the Sarif ending, because it seemed like its was the only ending that didn't involve killing a lot of innocent people (which was against myself and my character's moral code), didn't keep the cycle of corruption going, and didn't totally fuck over society as we know it. Only issue was that the ending video pun the choice as my character going "RAUGH fuck the weaklings we are GODS HELL YES"... which comes off to me as more of an illuminiati way of thought.
Ending level would have been so much more awesome if it was a mini-HUB though, like Tai Yong, and that you had to make a choice with what you wanted to do by choosing a certain path or objective to take on your own. This would have work really well with the choice system the game has. If you think about it, you were on a semi-controlled leash the whole game. How great would it have been for an experienced player to come to panchea, and basically be there on his own accord to do as he wishes with the fate of humanity instead of some objective forcing him somewhere? Perfect way to end a game like this IMO. I mean there would have to be some conflict otherwise a player wouldn't be able to decide what to do without guidance of course.
And not the silly stuff that we were given for the last level - the while "Left4Dead" thing was so obviously forced it wasn't funny. Its like multiplayer in a game like this - that type of gameplay just doesn't belong at all. Much like the boss fights, which had no character to them. Which was really disappointing to me considering the Tyrants where all very well charactarized and had tons of backstory in the book, but there was literally ZERO exposition on them at all in this game. No info about Namir's life, no info about their actual name (they AREN'T Belltower like the game implies), nothing about their past recruits such as Gunther Hermann, etc. They are just faceless entities in the game, which is a total contrast to the trailers and book.
That said though, there wasn't a single terrible point in this game. And there was a great deal of awesome shit. Even the endings were not terrible, thier execution was just a little sub par compaired to the rest of the game IMO. A little disappointed however that Bob Page and Morgan Everette, who had a large role in DX1, had literally zero role in this game outside of the intro and ending cinematics.
Also, did anyone get giddy when they played the DX1 themesong at the end of the credits video and did anyone else totally listen to that thing all the way through? Cause I did on both accounts :D[/sp]

I immediately called bullshit when [sp]Pritchard "easily" attained the layout and said she was in 404.[/sp]

I'm sure it's gonna be a prequel sequel. Deus Ex Evolution
I [sp]just got to China, beat all the side quests before in Detroit[/sp], how far into the game am I? I don't want the fun to stop.
