Every time you say that, I imagine you with Jensen's arms tearing the damn shower system out of the wall and bringing it to the PC.

Not that guy. I've paid the bouncer (then knocked him out for my dosh back)

I don't see many Bastila waifus period.
Y'know the achievement for completing the game without raising any alarms? Does that mean no audible alarms, or no getting people to the 'alarmed' status, like when you throw a barrel?
Probably no audible alarms.

No pay, no play. You want in, or not?
Supposedly, the Missing Link DLC mission will take about 5-6 hours to complete.

Thinking about it, that's the average length of a modern single player FPS game, isn't it?
considering games like fear 3 take 3 hours to beat, yeah
Why does everyone like this game? It's terrible. I played it for four hours, hoping that the game would really kick off, but it never did so I just got bored. Yes, I was playing it stealthy like, even completed the first level without killing anyone, but even that didn't help because the AI was so shitty that it was no challenge to run around their patrols. The leveling up system is fucked up because you get experience for easy things and nothing for harder. You guys are reveling in nostalgia from the first game.
you're wrong
YES! Just got Pacifist. Not Foxiest of the hounds though, not sure where I triggered an alarm...

How can we revel in nostalgia of the first game in the prequel? If you had actually read a lot of old previews and some of the reviews you'll notice a lot of people who never played the first game love DXHR. In-fact there's been a few people in the thread that have said the same thing.
Does anyone have a map of all the hub areas showing all the vendor locations?

I've never played any deus ex game and I think this game is awesome.

I've never played the first game and I fucking loved Human Revolution.
The story was awesome as far as I was concerned. A good ol' fashioned jigsaw puzzle plot that slowly comes together. It was really satisfying to piece it all together and slowly unravel the mystery - I really, really enjoyed it. Music and voice acting was top notch, too. Almost every single thing in the game was absolutely amazing as far as I was concerned.
To be honest, stealthy wasn't always the most fun way of playing. It could be fun at times, but usually leaping into the battlefield and stunning everyone using your Icarus landing system before unleashing hell upon them in the form of the Typhoon system was a lot more satisfying.
The AI was a combination of shitty, and brilliant. Sometimes they were really smart, like knowing that you were present due to seeing a smashed window or an open door/vent. Sometimes, like you said, it was shitty - but that was half of the fun to me, seeing the AI completely derp out made me lol every time.
The reason you get more XP for 'easy' stuff (like using a ventilation system to get into a building instead of barging in the front door and gunning everyone down) is because playing the 'easy' way is actually harder. You could literally run and gun your way through the ENTIRE game only using weapons (which you don't need augs, and hence praxis points, and hence XP for. If you wanna play primarily non-lethal then it'd be almost IMPOSSIBLE to complete the game without augs (and hence praxis points (which you need XP for). That's why you get more XP for things like knock outs than kills, or stealthy entrances.

Does anyone else have out of sync audio for the combat rifle and the machine pistol? It's really bugging me.

I actually never played the first one, and yet i love this one. It's called a great game, not MW3.
Anyone else think that someone should remake the entire first Deus Ex using HR's engine?
Yes, I have to agree a million times for this :v: Could they possibly be doing it? Would it be legal since ION storm made the first? And I mean if Eidos Montreal remade it. Professionally done and could be completed in a couple of years since that's their job and don't have to deal with college and other things like mod makers do.

Wow, two Harvesters just discretely followed my trail into a guy's apartment so I killed them.
Had a great idea for some fanfic.
[sp]basically it'd be about Adam when he's choosing what button to press at the end of the game, being unable to choose which of the video edits to send and then eventually pressing the self destruct. Then a few minutes after that as he spends some time thinking before he dies.
It kind of annoyed me that when you press it the screen just fades to black and you just hear the sounds. There was potential there for quite a powerful sequence.[/sp]

Bottom floor of the Hung Hua Hotel in Hengsha, there's a door opposite the bar which isn't easily noticable. The one in Detroit is in the gas station. I'm not aware of any others.

When the fuck did I say "running in through the front door shooting"?
When the fuck did I say "running in through the front door shooting"?
Calm down. He never said you did. But he said that the things you say are "easy" (for which you get XP) are stealthy, and thus the opposite of that is "not stealthy" - possibly running in through the front door shooting.
His point was that you get XP for playing in a way where you need your augs - if you are all fine without them, you don't need to get as much XP as you don't have any use for it.

Hengsha has 3 vendors that I know of, Detroit has two.
[sp]In the Hengsha Hotel, go to the 3rd(?) floor and walk around until you hear an argument between a man and a woman inside a hotel room. There should be a chick standing outside the room saying something like "Damn I left my purse in there." The woman inside the room gives you this quest.[/sp]
I did that quest but that dialogue never happened.

There's one in an apartment complex in Detroit, and one in the sewers of Hengsha.

Yeah I also laughed at the elevator in Sarif's office. It has the same code as the UNATCO van from the first game.
All I know is [sp]when they recalled those chips it became extremely obvious to me it was a trap. I'm still curious to see what happens if you actually have your bio-chip replaced, but I really don't know how anyone could have fallen for that. Tai Yong Medical was distributing the chips and by that point everyone knew how reputable they were.[/sp] :v:
[sp]I thought Pritchard or someone had checked it out so it's safe, but I became a bit suspicious when it was optional. I still went and had it replaced, and later on (about an hour after) started kind of regretting it. But, maybe on the next playthrough I'll choose not to take it.[/sp]

Pretty much this. You (KingstonCEO) implied that the easy way of playing was stealthy because of the XP boosts, but in actuality you NEED these XP boosts to play that way.
If you're gonna play non-stealthily and be as lethal as possible Dermal Armour, Arm Strength and a Typhoon system will probably get you through the whole game easy.
Non-lethal would require you to have cloak (which is... 5 points in total if I'm not mistaken?), larger battery capacity and faster recharge time, silent running, etc, etc.

Personally I think that enemy cones of vision and improved radar are the best stealth augments.
