Right now I'm doing non-lethal, no alert, Give me Deus Ex playthrough and so far I hopefully didn't mess up. But I'm afraid my tranquilizer rifle might kill someone as it already did once and I had to reload.
Solution - don't knock anyone out like I did :v:
(okay I had to break this rule a few times but rarely)
I actually regretted upgrading the radar range because it made it harder to see which visual cone belonged to which NPC.
One of the reasons I didn't upgrade it. My brother got it for PC, I got it for xbox. He upgraded his radar range and all of a sudden the radar became this jumbled up mess of icons and I was like, "what the fuck is going on..."
Standard radar is like, what, 25 metres? In my experience if anyone was further than 25 metres away and NOT in a direct line of sight you were pretty much safe from them anyway.
Is their any like community patches for the first Deus Ex?
Cause I'm having trouble playing it with all this weird shit.
i liked the ending-style
kinda reminded me of the hl2-type game where you could turn back time with some gun, forgot the name

What's the problem?
Wait, wait, wait... just how much stuff was left to the preorder packs? I thought paying over 50€ for the Augmented Edition on Steam would pretty much give me the whole game minus some special weapons they left for the pre-orders from other places.
Instead, now I heard from a friend that obtained the game through... other means, and thus has all the pre-order content unlocked, that there is a whole bunch of very useful items and weapons (an automatic hacking tool, for example) and even a whole new mini-quest during the main quest ([sp]saving Tong's son[/sp]).
After looking around a bit, I found out having all of the pre-order pack contents gives you this, in total:
A double barreled shotgun at the start of the game.
A silenced Sniper Rifle at the start of the game.
10,000 credits to start with.
A bonus mission involving Tracer Tong.
M-28 remote explosive (and start with 4 of them)
Automatic Unlocking Device (hacks automatically, can be found around the game)
LGTM Linebreaker G-87 motherfucking grenade launcher from the aforementioned Tong mission
Huh. Apparently the Collectors Edition included all of this, but was sold only in Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands. It will be available for purchase online - at "very limited quantities".
Meh.
I can't do the 1080 x 1024 picture, I'd have to find some way to take a screenshot of my website in that resolution since my screen is 1366x768
holy fuck
this game keeps crashing

Shifter
Was anyone else utterly creeped out by the [sp]synthetic bodies in the Namir fight room[/sp]?

The tranq rifle can kill people? I'm gonna be so angry if I finish the game only to find out I accidentally killed someone.

If they fall over into an acid pit or something
Also I killed [sp]Rihanna[/sp] with a mine and she flew
Frag mines make the first three boss fights laughably easy

Does it count against you? I know if soldiers die from a mech exploding, you can still get pacifist.

reports vary
some say the bots exploding counted against them, others didn't
Actually, the tranq gun killed the first henchman when you go after Double-T for me. Headshot, bodyshot, didn't matter, luckily the stun gun did okay. And yeah, I try avoid as many enemies as possible, but I also don't want miss some upgrades.

I found that in order to not kill that guy, you had to talk to him before stunning him. Assuming Double-T is that guy from the detroit sidequest.

Odd. I only did it once, [sp]blew up the mech at Malik helicopter with an EMP mine[/sp], and it killed two guys but I still got Pacifist.
Most likely someone has found it, but if you scan the QR codes on boxes it leads you to the sarif website.

is that a creeper face?
Has anyone else got the Explosive Rounds Package for the revolver?
I [sp]saved Malik like a boss[/sp] with that. It's pretty much gamebreaking.
is that a creeper face?
It's a QR code silly.

By the way I have a video upcoming.
Okay chaps, I'm confused now
I got the Steam augmented edition for the free copy of Deus Ex. That was the one thing I got. I have no idea where all the other stuff is. I kind of assumed it would unlock after the game was released but it never did.
what to do

WOW!!!!!! REALLY???
[sp]It actually means "God from".[/sp]

For bonus, put loads of magazine extension mods on it, and win the game ten minutes later.
Still not quite as awesome as the Grenade Launcher, but it's surprisingly cheap.
OH
did anyone realise that upgrading the revolver with an ammo capacity upgrade actually changes the in game model? I noticed the cylinder change from 5 to 6 and I had to reload the game to make sure I wasn't imagining it.
Finished the game with a seven-shot revolver. Fuck yeah.
