Does how you act during the game change the messages to the endings? I mean, I went through most of the game on my second playthrough knocking most people out simply because it was quieter. Killed a lot of people but I sure as hell just knocked more out. So Jensen went off about how he normally did the right thing even though it might not have been all the time blah blah blah. Kind of plays a big part behind each ending, as he always says something about how if he could do the right thing then humanity can as well yadda yadda yadda. If you go through the game as a massive asshole and just kill everyone, does his message change? Does he say "I'm an asshole so humanity will probably be an asshole," or something along those lines?
The ending is sadly done FO3 style.
The ending is sadly done FO3 style.
Raul was never able to find peace with himself.
Even though I think Human Revolution is 150% better than Invisible War I think I must say this: Invisible War felt more like Deus Ex 1, and the story was much more in touch with the original. Human Revolution takes everything from Deus Ex one and throws it out the window to have a clean slate. IW=Sequel, albeit a shitty one. HR=Complete fucking hard reset.
Well, it's a prequel. Prequels tend to have their own stories with maybe a few references to the original it is based off of.
Kinda off topic, but did you notice that in Human Revolution, they call a VTOL a chopper? But in Deus Ex there are actually helicopters and no VTOLs?

By DX1 UNATCO had budget cuts and the price for rocket fuel (which is what the VTOL operates on) had jacked up significantly not to mention the DX1 chopper was made for stealth.
The ending is sadly done FO3 style.
What's your point? It's one of the best endings I've ever seen in a game, raising legitimate questions about human morality, the progress of science, and our freedom. This is one of the few times where a game gives you the chance to think for yourself and reflect, rather than boasting a hard-ass winner ending. It's something to be treasured.
I just wish the endings [sp]besides the destroy everything one, obviously[/sp] would have explained what happened to Adam afterward as well, instead of him just talking about humanity.
So when you're going after sandoval and [sp]sanders[/sp] ambushes you with an emp in that room with the [sp]praxis kit and dead belltower guy lying on the floor[/sp]. does he try to kill you or talk to you? I spotted him with my see through walls aug and threw a gas mine on the door which he then activated.

I don't know why but I laughed my ass off when I saw he was there.

Apparently it doesn't change anything regardless of whether you kill him or simply knock him out.
Oh alright. I was just curious, I knocked his ass out then dropped him down a shaft [editline]3rd September 2011[/editline] Just like I did to EVERY Derelict row baller. I do not approve of street gangs
[sp]Did anyone else feel like a boss when you talked down Sandoval from killing himself? And for that matter, who else felt like a pretty cool guy after barging into Taggart's press conference?[/sp]
Not really. When I went into Sandoval's office, he [sp] took the revolver to his head and threatened to commit suicide to save his dignity, but I talked him out of it and got a silver tongue exp bonus. The fire extinguishers act like instant knock-out gas. Wat.

whoa, i didn't know npc's could wake up other npc's [editline]4th September 2011[/editline]
Hey! So, I was in Hengsha [sp]for the second time, after Montreal[/sp] and I came across this room where this guy failed to commit suicide. There was a bottle of Drain-O next to a box of pizza, pills everywhere, blood on the walls, revolver ammo, and a toaster in the bathtub. That guy must be really unlucky.

Do civilians ever wake up? Because if they don't I'll eventually run out of people to knock-out.
this game has stolen my entire day but it was worth it finally seeing the bright sun and clear sky after hours of murky lower city missions was a real treat
Sherri Ter Horst.
??? Wha- Who?
Do civilians ever wake up? [editline]4th September 2011[/editline]
??? Wha- Who?
Before you ask, no, your mirror has not been replaced, Mister Jensen.
