Sometimes Maggie Chow's hit still registers even after I kill her with my DTS. You can end up killing her and immediately dying after. I've had it happen numerous times.
Still not really convinced this game will do Deus Ex justice. I mean, the minor details is what made Deus Ex for me. Stuff like if you sneaked past the hostage situation in that one mission you'd get special "what the hell are you doing" dialogue from Paul.
If you're expecting a carbon-copy of the original Deus Ex, you're going to be disappointed. If you want minor details, you got them. [editline]29th July 2011[/editline] AaaaAAAA FUCK:
Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know: we've recently added an in-game FOV setting to the DXHR PC! cheers, Jim.
They fucking responded to us!!
AaaaAAAA FUCK: They fucking responded to us!! http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=118495
That's why I like these devs, they actually listen! (It takes a while though (see: outlines)) Did anyone else preorder a physical copy of the Augmented edition? Can't fucking wait.

Anyone know where I can get DE:HR wallpapers?
Best one is on this very same page.
played the leak, and then immediately preordered more games need demos

My desktop is augmented.
You know I'd really love a wallpaper of just Deus Ex-style flying glass shards including reflections, but without a Deus Ex logo or Adam Jensen taking up the spotlight in the middle.
when i saw the choice i couldn't help but take it

94%? Fucking hell, they couldn't do better than that? Canceled my pre-order, burnt the receipt, wrote to my senator, made a can of napalm, burning down Eidos Montreal [sp]Deus Ex got 95%[/sp]
Speaking of ratings, people who base their acceptance of liking a video game on ratings don't make any sense. I mean, they're missing out on experiencing what could be a great game because they're too easily persuaded to try it out themselves.
I don't usually read the entire review unless I'm seriously in doubt. I only read those small highlighted quotes. I'll give you a page-king: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/313559/deus-ex-human-revolution-pc-gamer-review-awards-94/
"a dark, cool and beautiful revival of an incredible game."

"A game that puts almost everything else in the genre to shame."
94 I asked for this.
Okay, PC Gamer is my review bible. I might have to get Deus Ex: HR after all.
Ye of little faith.
Okay, PC Gamer is my review bible. I might have to get Deus Ex: HR after all.
Really? Because they gave Dragon Age II a 95. I think you need a new bible.
Really? Because they gave Dragon Age II a 95. I think you need a new bible.
You say that like only one guy reviews stuff for PC Gamer.
You say that like only one guy reviews stuff for PC Gamer.
I know, it was a joke..sorta. I know there's two different divisions for PCGamer as well as the individual people but PC Gamer USA is the worst for reviewing. (They gave DA2 a 95, and they also review COD really high) [editline]29th July 2011[/editline]
My feelings with DA2 were bad, with Deus Ex however my positive expectations are... AUGMENTED
Yeah but with the leak we know it's good.
Another mag, Official Playstation Magazine, gave it an 80. You really shouldn't give a flying fuck about the number, though, and instead at least read this: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/313581/deus-ex-human-revolution-ps3-review-8/10-in-opm/

Hurley writes: "It doesn't reach Killzone 3 levels of splendour, but ... blah blah blah
Comparing Deus Ex to WHAT?! Fucking console gamers.
Before I read it, any spoilers?
There's nothing to read yet.
Comparing Deus Ex to WHAT?! Fucking console gamers.

"It's not as direct as a sci-fi COD, nor as expansive or open as Fallout," he writes. "Instead it's somewhere in the middle."

sci-fi COD
"Critic" Leon Hurley just lost all credibility.
"Critic" Leon Hurley just lost all credibility.
He obviously doesn't get the point of Deus Ex games. Something I was thinking about earlier is that if this game leads up to some of the events of the first game, assuming hey want to continue the series, where do they go from here? There is a lot of time between the statue bombing and the first DX so maybe another game there, or another one that runs parallel to DX.
I'm in mood for outrageous replies so. CRITIC CALLED DEUS EX A 'SCI FI COD?'
