Deus Ex: Human Revolution V3 - I Never Asked For This

If you want a silenced sniper rifle, the Tranq's always a good bet.
Also, it's non-lethal, if that matters to you.
Has anyone found a way to play the Tracer Tong DLC using the debug menu patch (for people who didn't pre-order)?

It's range is shit. Looks cool though.
Honestly, I wouldn't worry so much. With 90% of these BS pre-order bonuses, they show up later on for a minimal fee.
Also, pre-ordering is so easy. There's really no reason not to.

It was a gamestop or amazon pre-order exclusive though.

Could'a gone to gamestop, and said the following.
"I WOULD LIKE TO PREORDER DEUS EX HUMAN REVOLUTION FOR (SYSTEM OF CHOICE) HERE IS 5 DOLLARS"
The cashier would've responded "Do you mean Doos Ex?"
but you know hey.

And why should anyone have to pay for what was already built into the game in the first place?
And why should anyone have to pay for what was already built into the game in the first place?
I don't know. But it's either
A.) An insignificant cost, like a dollar or so
or
B.) 5$ put towards the game as a deposit.

On an unrelated note...
my dick friend keeps spoiling Deus Ex HR plotpoints left right and fucking center even though he knows I just started the game.
Any ideas how to get back at him? I'd spoil shit for him, but all he plays is COD/Battlefield kind of games.
Stop being friends with him.

Doing another playthrough and just got finished with Detroit and it took 15 hours. Holy shit way too much content in this game.
Does anybody else here not feel like doing a second playthrough of DX:HR?
Sure the game was awesome, but doing all the side quests/quests again in Hengsha/Detroit?
Fighting every boss again?
I dunno, i just don't feel like doing all that again.
After beating it on the hardest diff and a pacifist run (STILL DIDNT GET IT GG EIDOS), there's not much to go back to. I guess I could do an entire Ghost run but iunno if I want to do that all over for the third time.
I did two stealth playthroughs back to back and the game still felt fresh and I'm a person that can very rarely play single player games more than once.
It is.
According to the description atleast.
A mod for human Revolution, I meant.

What if you don't like Amazon or Gamestop?
[sp]I didn't understand who all the girls were inside the machine in the hyron project? I thought Zhao was just trying to get access to the master signal that would allow her to control everyone?[/sp]
[sp] My guess is that the girls were 'batteries' for the machine. You can see the suit in Zhao's penthouse suite. As to why that machine needed human power is beyond me. Something tells me Squeenix got to choose how that battle worked.[/sp]

[sp]no, they were basically a huge supercomputer to keep the thing working. the brain is a very powerful computer, you know.[/sp]
also, my body is augmented.

Headshots with tranqs still kill. And the tranq bugs out sometimes and kills people anyway soooooooooo
I actually rather liked the last boss's design. Wish it had more foreshadowing, but whatever.

[sp] Yeah but...why people and not something technological? I mean, I know Page tried to merge himself with Helios with all that fancy machinery. Was that the same thing Zhao tried to achieve? It just doesn't seem to fit all that well... [/sp]

Wish it was a bit more obvious about how to go about it rather than guess and check. Died so many times until I figured out how to deal with it. Ugh.
Just got 49 out of 49, feels good man.

I think the basic idea behind it was that it summed up the horrors of augmentation. A world in which men are enslaved to the machines.

[sp]the brain is a much better processing unit then a piece of machinery since it processes things in a more organic way. what Zhao was doing was trying to change what the broadcast signal was sending so that they could do the crowd control thing[/sp]
Hm. Suppose that's a proper way to look at it. But, just like Icarus, she flew just a wee bit too close to the sun. Or rather, her ambition to have all that power had her killed in the end, just like Icarus' over-ambitious will to escape led to his downfall.
I guess I can see it work, yeah.

[sp] Like a massive "mind-control" broadcast? So instead of insane augmented people you have an organized augmented army? Sounds like something she would do. [/sp]
Does it bother anyone that everything you do in the detroit section is all done in one night? It feels way to fast.
I wish there were more occasions to use the sniper rifle, or at least not make it so damn loud so I don't get swarmed so quickly
Does it bother anyone that everything you do in the detroit section is all done in one night? It feels way to fast.
If you've played the other Deus Ex games, you'll realize time is sorta out the window :v:
Don't even tell me to use the crossbow, I only found bolts for that 4 times
Don't even tell me to use the crossbow, I only found bolts for that 4 times
The crossbow seemed like a neato weapon that was way too situational with a lack of ammo floating around.

[sp]did you not pay attention to (what's his face, the pro-human guy)'s confession about the illuminati's true intentions with the biochip? it was for crowd control, so that people wouldn't kill each other and stuff[/sp]

[sp] Taggart? Sandoval? [/sp]
[sp] Taggart? Sandoval? [/sp]
[sp]taggart, that's the one[/sp]
[sp]taggart, that's the one[/sp]
[sp] I vaguely recall something about that. To be honest, I didn't pay much attention to him as I really did not like him. He wanted to demonize augmentation, create regulation and all that crap. Didn't like Sarif either as he seemed to put corporate interests ahead. And telling everyone the Illuminati exists seemed like telling everyone Santa was real and is on his way to arm-wrestle the president. I broke Panchea anyway. [/sp]
