Does anyone else think Jensen looks kinda weird without his sunglasses? He's got a weirdly angular face.
Does anyone else think Jensen looks kinda weird without his sunglasses? He's got a weirdly angular face.
I think it's just the fact that you still see the edges where the glasses come out. In the first chapter he doesn't look that weird at all.
Does anyone else think Jensen looks kinda weird without his sunglasses? He's got a weirdly angular face.
Not really, the only thing I've noticed with his face was that he has a pointy beard, as if he's some kind of diabolical mastermind.
[sp]any way it ends he's gonna get fucked so why should he lie[/sp]
[sp] it's possible he's just that crazy [/sp]
I'd really love a direct sequel(impossible due to endings) or a side story that takes place at around the same time

Just finished my first playthrough, absolutely fantastic game, amazingly well-written. But, as much as I think I'm wrong about this, was I the only one that thought that[sp]Yelena[/sp]felt sort of, I dunno, tacked onto the game? [sp]Her boss fight comes out of bloody nowhere and is pretty pointless, you could cut her out of the game entirely and the story would still be largely the same from what I could tell, and she didn't even seem to have that much characterization to begin with. Doesn't help that her boss fight is kind of bullshit, since you are pretty much required to have either the Typhoon or EMP Shield, either that or fucktons of health items and health. Granted, you really should have any one of those things by that time, but I still feel it's missing the point of Deus Ex when you put in a part of the game that requires you to have something that is technically presented as completely optional. Hell, if I hadn't saved a few Praxis points up until then, I'd have been pretty much screwed, since I didn't meet any of the requirements. It's even weirder considering that, throughout most of the rest of the game, the developers took pretty much everything into account in terms of player choice, just not Yelena's and maybe Namir's boss fights. Although Namir is absolutely piss-easy once you realize you can just trap him by making him constantly jump over the wall in the middle by moving around the wall constantly and shooting him right as he jumps over, especially if you have loads of Stun Gun rounds. Still, I think that Yelena felt a bit pointless, like an attempt at making a "mysterious" character that would have worked if she contributed more to the plot. I could be wrong, as I didn't read too many Emails or anything on my first playthrough (Which I should have done) that could potentially build her character up more, but still, it's somewhat disappointing considering that she seemed to be pretty prominently featured in the marketing for the game.[/sp] On an unrelated note, did anyone ever upload the DX MP match we had the day before the North American release (Which was oddly mostly filled with Europeans)? Because that was pretty damn fun, and it would also be neat to draw comparisons between the map we played and the actual place it was based off of in DX:HR.
I lol'd at the guy who says about the escalators doing nothing but "looking nice". Because all the escalators in the game (and most games) don't work.

I bought this game on Friday. It is now Monday. Steam is still telling me their servers are too busy to begin the download. :suicide:

Try also changing the steam download region. Even if it probably changes nothing.
But he doesn't always have access to the VTOL when he changes clothes...
but when he has it off it is often after he got a ride there he probably hides it somewhere

I need a HUD disabler for some screenshots. Debug menu isn't working for me. [editline]5th September 2011[/editline] I mean it doesn't hide the HUD.
Don't you just love it when this happens? And no, I did not have stop worms yet as this was one of the earlier hacks in the game.
