My first playthrough, mostly finished. I tried to have a sort of burly superman type guy. But why is there no goddamn combat rifle ammo? I've had maybe 250 rounds the whole goddamn game.So halfway through I ended up being sneaky and using stuff like the tranquilizer rifle constantly just because it meant I didn't have to kill the tough guys.
Welcome to stealth
[sp]Sandoval only attacks you if you DON'T confront Taggart or plant the evidence on Taggart's computer, since that way Taggart doesn't know about his terrorist connections. Planting the evidence or confronting Taggart in the conference will always trigger the suicide attempt.[/sp]
I confronted [sp]Taggart and he didn't try to kill himself. It has to be a different variable.[/sp]

Maybe using CASIE pheromones is the variable we are looking for, I didn't use CASIE on [sp]Taggart during the confrontation because I forgot what his personality was, and viola, Sanders attacks me instead.[/sp]
Adam Jensen wasn't born in 1996.
Um neither was I?
Namir was born the same year as me, WHAT ARE THE ODDS?
I'm prepping my acid.

why is this ending for DX1 so oddly affecting?
it has by far the best music of all the endings, and it really is kind of bittersweet and gives me that strange melancholy feeling, like I got at the end of both Portal games.
In terms of what I find ideal, it's definitely not my preferred ending, but narrative and emotion wise, I think it's the best.

:c
I agree. My favorite ending will always be helios, but that one does have the best music and a pretty big emotional appeal.
Does anyone know how to find the "action" and conversation music in Deus Ex? I've found most of the ambient/location/cutscene music in .umx format in one of the folders, but I can't seem to find the others anywhere.
I'm wondering if the umx format allows multiple tracks hidden in the same file and this Winamp plugin I'm using only plays one
Can someone help me with a part I am stuck on?
[sp] I just got the information off the server and made my way up to the CEO. She kicked me out and I made my way to the elevator taking me to the hangar. At the hangar there are two robots and I have no clue what I can do to kill them. I weapons I have are: 10mm Pistol, Stun Gun, Machine Pistol, Tranq Rifle, and a PEPs. I also have not leveled my hacking up high enough to disable them at the terminal.[/sp]
Please help!
No EMP grenades at all?
[editline]6th September 2011[/editline]
Or grenades in general
grenades and mines are so fucking useful in this game
I think there are some emp grenades under you
I only played through once, but maybe [sp]Sandoval only attacks you of you kill Zeke. Or maybe it has to do something with when Taggert visits Sarif[/sp]
A brilliant review.
Spoilers though, so watch out!

Wait what? I never even saw Sandoval
I'm getting so fed up with this game.
I have the feeling, I can be all the way in China, and when I pop out of cover, the Detroit gangbangers now know exactly where I am.
Moving into cover alerted them all.
Behind a wall.
They all have x-ray vision.
Just found a vent shaft in [sp]Zhao's penthouse, which leads around most of the guards to make an easier silent escape.[/sp]
Every playthrough I will find something new.
Just conviced the Police Sargeant to let me into the morgue.
My last playthrough, I broke in and punched 56 cops in the jaw.
I learn something every day.

I need to get this game. I also need to eat. I have $160 in my budget for this week.
Worth buying?

Over eating? I'm going with no.
Wait for your next pay day.

You could get it for cheap at a CD key retailer

And then what? I don't have enough money to upgrade from a P4 machine.

oh
Well I went back into the game. I was able to find a heavy rifle, an emp, and normal grenade. Beat it...got into the helicopter and got a black screen.
I hope it didn't fuck up.
There are Heavy Rifles and ammo for them scattered around. Hide under the helipad and rape them.

Maybe it's a play style difference, but I really enjoyed the bossfights. My first run was all stealthy and non-lethal, so the bosses were a way to put all the ducking, hiding, cloaking, and silent-running to work. The majority of the time none of them could find me until I poked them, then I stealth-ed off and stalked them some more. [sp]In the first fight I was jumping and ducking around pillars when lawrence had his back turned until I got close enough to for the stun gun. In the second fight it was watching the lights for distortions and listening for watery footsteps to stay one step ahead.[/sp] It was really thrilling. [sp]Oh except that final boss fight, I forgot about that. That one wasn't great.[/sp]
Why the fuck did they place a delete button next to the save button!!? The amount of fucking times I've accidentally deleted my most recent save... *sigh*

Quicksave is your friend
Quicksave is your friend
True, I forgot about that. But usually if I go to load or save a game, when the menu transitions it accidentally selects the delete button and I usually quickly confirm it thinking it's a load/save when it's actually deleting the save >:/

VLC works.
Wait what, you can capture the "security" thingy in terminal hacks? ( the one that tries to detect where you hack from) How? Ive played through the game twice now and never even knew.
Does anyone know why it's always night-time?
I wish I could see some blue :(
