Sorry if this has been already asked: If your going for a pacifist run-through, does killing the spec-ops soldiers in the prologue count?
Sorry if this has been already asked: If your going for a pacifist run-through, does killing the spec-ops soldiers in the prologue count?
Don't think so, but I haven't tried one yet.
In 12 hours? I doubt it, Lower Hengsha took me about 12 hours on it's own.
Is that because you were running around looking in every corner for shit that wasn't there?
Yes, sneak past them.
Thank you!
I love the graphics style, the gameplay, and the soundtrack and was having fun for the first few hours. And it's starting to get harder and harder to keep playing as it's getting repetitive. Every mission there is the option to fight head on or sneak around somehow, and then theres the hacking game on either a computer screen or a door panel. And all I'm doing is going up against the same variants of enemies over and over. Light, medium, and heavy armored soldiers. And the only thing that changes are their uniforms and the occasional augmented enemy. dammit, I've been waiting for this game for years, maybe I had my expectations too high. Even though this game is more solid, I don't remember Invisible War being this repetitive. I liked how in IW you were contacted by multiple corporations who wanted you to work for them, and then you could either go against them or for them when it comes to your mission objectives. Decisions in the game had more weight, and in HR I get more of a Mass Effect vibe where every decision I make doesn't make any real difference how the game plays out.
Is that because you were running around looking in every corner for shit that wasn't there?
There is shit there through, like the black market aug clinic in Detroit, and breaking into the conspiracy theorist's apartment.

If you're finding it repetetive, try to vary your style of play rather than expecting it to do it for you. It's possible it only SEEMS repetetive because you're not noticing other ways to go about the objective. Explode a little, hack a few computers and do some research, keep an eye out for any alternative routes.

And then it gives you those same options hundreds of times.
There are about four options it gives you: Fighting, sneaking, vents, hacking and breaking walls.
maybe we'd take your opinion more seriously if you had learned to count to five
maybe we'd take your opinion more seriously if you had learned to count to five
I wrote the four and then realised there was another option. Got any more irrelevant observations to avoid arguing?

Wow, you spotted a joke, you must be really proud.
My first playthrough took me 24.5 hours. Of course, a lot of that time was spent trying to get my landlord into the secret stash in my apartment, and I fucked one sidequest up and missed another one entirely. Spoilerly plot stuff: [sp]Am I the only one disappointed with the irrelevance of the drugs needed to maintain augments as a plot point? Near the start it seemed like such a huge deal then dropped off when it turned into Darrow's self obsessed, "if I can't have it nobody can!" deal. Kind of disappointing. Although the suggestion that JC and Paul were based off of Adam's DNA makes me smile.[/sp]
The entire story was rubbish and mostly irrelevant, it was basically looking for the damsel in distress and you only happened to save the world from the chip making people insane in the half an hour.
explode a little
dat typo
Wow, you spotted a joke, you must be really proud.
No real need to be an ass, you know.
The entire story was rubbish and mostly irrelevant, it was basically looking for the damsel in distress and you only happened to save the world from the chip making people insane in the half an hour.
Try harder.
Triple post! Try harder doing what? You tell me what was so special about the story. If you really had any argument for me you'd stop whining and tell me.

[sp]The beginning was more or less you doing your job, as a "security consultant," and then the pieces of the greater conspiracy start to fall in. Sure, the true motivation does come in only really close to the end, but it wasn't your motivation to begin with. You were trying to find out where the scientists were and who was behind fucking you up.[/sp]

If they really cared about the game, they'd try not looking at anything to make it all a surprise. Besides, what I said in that is hardly a spoiler, the first part happens within the first level and the second was just tagged on the end. Your motivation doesn't come towards the end, it's all in the beginning. Jensen complains throughout the entire game about trying to find his girlfriend.
[sp]Because finding his (ex-)girlfriend also means finding her team: she's the project leader[/sp] not very hard to understand now is it
[sp]Because finding his (ex-)girlfriend also means finding her team: she's the project leader[/sp] not very hard to understand now is it
This is what I said?

If this thread was devoted to plot discussion, sure, that works fine. But it's still fairly recent and I'm talking mostly about the ending. [sp]At the end you realize Darrow was behind the killswitch for people with the new biochip. You find Megan and save her before this, and then she's off to develop the Grey Death anyway. And until about halfway or so, it's more or less presumed she's dead. Of course, most people saw that "twist" coming a mile away anyway, but still.[/sp]

If they wanted tips on a boss fight, they could go to any walkthrough site, or, if they wanted to post the worlds greatest vent because it has some outdated, unfunny reference to the internet, they could always scroll very quickly down to the bottom of the page to the quick post button. [sp]And that is exactly what I said, the killswitch was tagged onto the end and had nothing to do with the plot, and you said it yourself, Megan was very obviously not dead. I didn't even realise she was meant to be "dead" until Jensen fucked himself over someone telling him she's cool.[/sp] (User was banned for this post ("Trolling/untagged spoilers" - Orkel))

We're asking you to not be an ass, there's no reason why you can't put up spoiler tags. It's literally four characters added on to the beginning and end of your post. Why is that so hard?

What about the questions about augmentation, the idea of having a corporation's products being a part of you, being controlled by those products, whether or not humanity can be trusted with exponential technological growth, the corruption of human beings and whether or not they're fit to govern themselves?

Don't complain to me about not spending a couple of seconds on spoiler tags when you can't even write correct English. Besides, I offered a great solution for people who don't want the game to be spoiled above.
and Cone you better add spoiler tags to his posts if you're quoting them or you're making the problem worse

That theme isn't even new to Dues Ex, it's been around for as long as cyborg stories have.
