So, i finished the game. [sp]and i picked Sarif's ending, it (for me) seemed morally right, but me and my brother both agreed it was the more cannon ending out of the three, but then it clicked, wouldn't killing yourself be more cannon? i've not played the first DE so. [/sp]
aadaaaaaamm [img]http://vgdb.pl/photos/041311/david-sarif.jpg[/img] I know you're reading this in my vooice
I accidentally just a boss. [sp]http://h3.abload.de/img/ohyounamirmdd8.gif[/sp] Spoiler tags for name in gif and no img tags for obvious reasons.

[QUOTE=Dr.C;32160410]I don't remember where the secret vent to save the hostages in the first level is anymore, oh well. the only reward I get is from a discount at a gunshop. Time to release typhoon on them[/QUOTE] My 2nd playthrough i didn't spend any time dicking about at sariff HQ so I could go save the hostages, went through the level pretty fast as I thought there was a time limit to save them, got to the end where i saved the plant manager, only to realise that the hostages were not a main objective and therefor i'd have to find them myself...ah well. Fuck 'em for the 2nd time lol.

[/sp][/QUOTE] big spoiler if you have not watched the entire credits: [sp]It doesn't matter what ending you choose. You get a different ending movie, but in the end, the direction humanity goes is the same. After the credits Reed speaks with Bob (from deus ex 1) about their research. In short, she will continue what you tried to stop.[/sp]
I forgot to play this yesterday. Does this work with those DXwindower things?
[QUOTE=sami-elite;32162778]big spoiler if you have not watched the entire credits: [sp]In short, she will continue what you tried to stop.[/sp][/QUOTE] I was?
[QUOTE=Kalkka;32161845]You mean the orange outlines aren't making it easy enough for you?[/QUOTE] What about jet boots, everyone loves jet boots.
[QUOTE=Smashman;32162744]You... can do that!?[/QUOTE] It is done relatively simple. Best take down is still the one you spin the enemy with your hand in order to snap his neck.
finished game best SP game in a while
[QUOTE=Zeb Brown;32162869]What about jet boots, everyone loves jet boots.[/QUOTE] You can already jump nine feet in the air, seems a bit redundant. Maybe some sort of health recharger thingy? Like you activate it and your health recharges much faster than normal, but it takes loads of energy to power.
[sp]what the hell happens to dr reed anyways?[/sp]
[QUOTE=Flubadoo;32163014][sp]what the hell happens to dr reed anyways?[/sp][/QUOTE] [sp]She goes back to Bob Page to continue her research. You only hear it if you don't skip the credits.[/sp]
[QUOTE=diwako;32162881]It is done relatively simple. Best take down is still the one you spin the enemy with your hand in order to snap his neck.[/QUOTE] No, I mean against bosses. I thought it didn't work.
[QUOTE=Cone;32163028][sp]She goes back to Bob Page to continue her research. You only hear it if you don't skip the credits.[/sp][/QUOTE] my fucking god the credits were so long. I wanted to pause them or something and I pressed escape like 15 minutes in, then it went back to main menu, so I now have to start watching credits again. Alttabbing it doesnt make it go :<
[QUOTE=Smashman;32163070]No, I mean against bosses. I thought it didn't work.[/QUOTE] As far I tried, this is the only boss this works. Imo it is more like a glitch since he is supposed to snap your neck instead.

Darrow's voice is just another southern British accent that has become the over-used standard therefore, I find it rather basic and far from appealing. On-top of that he's got the snobby attitude to boot he couldn't sound more stereotypical. I like Sarif best because he has a kind of Jeff Bridges tone about him and his work ethic is something I agree with entirely. [editline]7th September 2011[/editline] [QUOTE=diwako;32163112]As far I tried, this is the only boss this works. Imo it is more like a glitch since he is supposed to snap your neck instead.[/QUOTE] It only works when he's jumping over a wall for some reason.
[QUOTE=Cone;32163004]You can already jump nine feet in the air, seems a bit redundant.[/QUOTE] You fly with jet boots silly.
Just thinking... some sort of a bullet time-aug could actually be pretty neat and not even so gamebreaking. [editline]7th September 2011[/editline] Though it's kind of a cliche really.
Should I play the first and second one before I play Human Revolution?
[QUOTE=tempotempo;32163612]Should I play the first and second one before I play Human Revolution?[/QUOTE] What second one? [editline]7th September 2011[/editline] There is only Deus Ex 1 and Deus Ex 3.
I guess, being a prequel and all, from the point of the story (and simply to make it happen in chronological order) I'd play Human Revolution first. But then again, on the other hand, after playing Human Revolution you may realise how unbearably ugly the original was, how bad its game play was compared to Human Revolution, and how bad the voice acting was in it. So, on that basis, I'd say it might make more sense to actually play the original first.
[QUOTE=tempotempo;32163612]Should I play the first and second one before I play Human Revolution?[/QUOTE] Yes, you should play the first one. You don't have to, but you won't get a few neat references, and it's a great game even after all these years. Don't bother with Invisible War - unless you really want to play it, in which case you should play it first (because playing it after DX1 - or, god forbid, HR - would be unbearable)
[QUOTE=tempotempo;32163612]Should I play the first and second one before I play Human Revolution?[/QUOTE] Play the first one, check what things you don't like about that game (if that actually happens). If it's the graphics, try installing a New Vision mod for it, if it's the gameplay, well, play Human Revolution then. If you're dragged into the story, you might as well want to finish the first game too.
