Imagine, cracking a security five rating account, with one of the most difficult games you've played only to find this in there.
[sp] ur a faget [/sp]
I could possibly do that
see this is supposed to be an entire OS, so I could probably fit tons of shit in here
maybe add a Software Center like in linux so you have to activate the hacking feature so you can hack other accounts that are for hacking, and you get points from the game and that builds towards your security rating
Make what you know for an OS and work the rest out as time goes on.
Or use it like a Deus Ex Fansite forum or something.
like i said, it's an OS; if i want I could probably fit it in with a bunch of other stuff i'm doing

How would STOP! and Nuke be implemented?
How would STOP! and Nuke be implemented?
I'm gonna replicate the minigame from the game as best as i can, so they'll most likely be in datastores an such
the number of nodes you capture, how long it takes you, whether or not the trace started (and if so, how long you have left) will probably attribute to the number of points you end up with from that hacking game
[editline]7th September 2011[/editline]
I'll need the sprites from the game too, if anyone wants to take a crack at it while I'm asleep.
[editline]7th September 2011[/editline]
i gotta go to bed for real now, night guys
For some reason seeing the [sp] Illuminati branch of Picus act like normal people in your average office made me hate them much more[/sp]

You should take a some creative liberties with it. Maybe make it more strategically paced, and include a wider selection of augments.
Reading people's computers is usually boring as fuck but shit all those 'farm porn harassment' emails were so great. Fucking laughed when I read the one on the security guy's PC.
Wow I just did the tracer tong mission.
that was fucking lame
I believe it was Megan.
Pugmentation
I wonder if Janice Reed from DX1 is somehow related to Megan.
I wonder if Janice Reed from DX1 is somehow related to Megan.
Almost definitely.
Well I killed the bitch just incase. I also noticed that Jock's computer login name is "Flyboy".

She's ginger like [sp]Bob Page, so him and Megan probably had sex[/sp]
Just beat the game. Overall the game was pretty awesome
Does anyone know the name of the music that plays in the 2nd mission at the factory? It kinda repeats a guitar riff over and over and I really liked it (and its stuck in my head)

Spoiler, please.
Computer password.
login name, not the password. You do know I'm talking about DX1?
Ah. My apologies.
I remember when I hacked every computer inside Sarif before doing anything.
I remember when I hacked every computer inside Sarif before doing anything.
Heh, same here. It was also funny to crawl through a ventilation shaft to an occupied office. Everyone was like "i can't believe you're already back Jensen :O" while completely ignoring the fact that I just sneaked up to their locked offices. I guess stuff like that happens on a daily basis at Sarif Industries.
I remember when I hacked every computer inside Sarif before doing anything.
so the hostages died for you then right
Hey out of curiousity what happens if you don't have the tracer tong dlc? does it segue right into the[sp]hengsha port mission, where you have to blow up the administrator's office?[/sp]
so the hostages died for you then right
I'm pretty sure if you don't save them in the mission they die. I don't think it has anything to do with time. (Don't hold me to that)

If you take too long in Sarif HQ before meeting Sarif in the chopper, the bomb goes off and the hostages die.
the bomb has a timer. if you take too long, sarif tells you they're already dead in the chopper. not that it ever happened to me, i saw a youtube vid.
Raise your augmented hand if you’re totally loving Deus Ex: Human Revolution right about now. Well, if that’s you, then you should be stoked to learn about the game’s first bit of DLC that will be arriving this October. Entitled ‘Missing Link’, the content will fill in a chunk of the story during the later stages of the game while allowing players to uncover further details about the game’s conspiracies, explore new environments, and otherwise interact with new characters along the way.
Unfortunately, that’s all we know at the moment, but as soon as we get details on the pricing, platforms, specific release date and any other additional content details, we’ll be sure to fill you in on what ‘The Missing Link‘ will have to offer.
