hello deus ex thread
I just finished the game (intense ending, by the way) and started a Give me Deus Ex difficulty game
what's all this I hear about the Typhoon being good against the bosses
I didn't get it in my first game, how good is it?
I called it "Doos Ex" at first, then I saw Yahtzee's review on the first Deus Ex and now I say "De-oose Ex".
A camera kept see me hack, and kept tripping alarms.

This fixed it.
That guy was oblivious to me the whole time.

He was not amused.
Typhoon is a boss rape machine, it's useless in any other situation but vs bosses it's a win button. get 3 energy cells, use typhoon 3 times, congrats you win. Lob a gas grenade if you want to make it even easier

Fantastic. I just finished my non-lethal playthrough and had no trouble with the bosses. Had an easier time of it, in fact.

I found the explosive revolver bullets to be extremely effective against [sp]Jaron[/sp], so I imagine it'll be good on the others too

Typhoon is useful when you can run in the middle of a group of enemies or jump down on them

Heard about that handwave too, but it didn't make a lot of sense if you consider how much budget your sponsors have. It certainly was enough for nanoaugs, but not for updating mechanical limb replacements.

Really, anything that does a lot of damage with a few shots is optimal for bosses. Gas grenades and stun grenades work a treat as well(15 seconds of stun for gas grenades, take the piss).

Get it but don't bother getting it upgraded, I didn't and it still kills anyone in its range in one hit - cept bosses and bots. And there's more than enough ammo for it to kill bosses and that without the upgrade.

Yeah, the upgrade just makes it destroy bots with one use.
The icarus landing system is some badass shit. The best part of it was when I jumped off a rooftop then knocked out all the harvesters below me and beat the crap out of them before they could get up

I wonder if the upgrade does more damage to bosses, I still wouldn't get the upgrade on my next play through even if it did.

I wish they had put parts that was in the CGI trailer and put it in the game.
The story of the game feels rather rushed near the end for some reason
I was in Tai Yong Medical, and there were 2 Belltower guys having a casual chat about Vending machines.
One of them was saying how he was getting the wrong drinks he was ordering.
