I have no other choice but to turn back. The game crashes at the loading screen. It's as if it was never meant to be.
Both me and you. Looks like fate is looking out for us.
I'm assuming I made the right decision by not buying Deus Ex: Invisible War?
Why is it that I always end up doing this whenever I play through the leak again.
[thumb]http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/677/pileq.jpg[/thumb]
Also, probably a long-shot since I don't regularly post in the thread, but could someone kindly see if they could Jensenize my FP avatar? I've tried it myself, but I'm pretty shit at photo editing in general.
I saw this one video awhile ago where Warren Spector was talking about how they fucked up in DXIW He kept talking about screwing up on the atmosphere and it being in the future (The good stuff) rather than the real fuckups like fact it was a blatant console port, the uni-ammo (How do you do something that retarded), the unnecessary loadscreens every 5 seconds that even the Xbox version didn't need, the terrible plot, the lack of purpose in the character, and that it was a generic FPS where the player has abilities. Also a quick question to the leak players. Can you overwrite augs like in IW, and can you scale smalls walls by holding the jump button? Those were the things they got right in IW. (I hated having to find that generic metal box to get ontop of something at JC's waist level.)
I believe the video you are talking about is this:
Note how he refers to the stuff that wasn't fucked as "fucked up" and neglects to talk about what they really fucked up.

You've got so many augs you needn't to install and uninstall then when you can install any of them at your liking without having to overwrite them. But at the same time, you won't get enough XP during the game to install ALL of them. Don't know if there'd be an option to reallocate your Praxis points at some point. Second, yeah. There really aren't any obstacles of that kind especially when you get the leg augmentation that allows you to jump higher. It also gives you the opportunity to find another way in, like for example when you're infiltrating a cop shop, you have a high fence to your left, so you don't need to stack dumpsters on top of each other to scale it when you can just jump over it. So yeah.
The inventory needs to be bigger. Also, is there any video showing the different ways of approaching the hostage situation?
The inventory needs to be bigger.
Upgrade it. I won't have to as I'll play pacifist :smug:
Am I the only one who noticed that the gameplay (especially stealth) is very similar to the (original) Crysis' gameplay? In a good way though, especially since it's much more complex because of the augmentations and gadgets. I loved sneaking around invisible and taking out one enemy after another without them noticing.
My pacifist run was an utter failure, I couldn't move quickly enough and got spotted between two crates just inside the entrance to the Sarif plant. I'm terrible at this.
Is there any way to play the leak in windowed mode without the bloom being horrendous When I play it in fullscreen it crashes my computer every 10-15 minutes
My pacifist run was an utter failure, I couldn't move quickly enough and got spotted between two crates just inside the entrance to the Sarif plant. If you're fast enough you won't even use a full battery and it will regenerate.

Is the game really in 3rd person or is someone that's been telling me that this game is "just a consolified game" a moron?
Gah, can't wait to play this game. This and Saints Row The Third are my two most anticipated games for the rest of the year.
ugh why'd you use a cover system in Deus Ex
Because its alot nicer and cooler to use this cover system than to press Q and E to lean. I don't know why the call it consolified crap over the cover system. I find it to be awesome and alot nicer then leaning.

I'd prefer a high FoV and leaning, but cover snapping isn't too bad.
In the leak, the cover system works perfectly and is still pretty immersive, better than the q/e lean system, in my opinion.
In Deus Ex 1 I never used lean
Wait, you could lean in DX1?
You can also scan the surrounding area better.
Okay, I'm not going to talk about Deus Ex exactly but this is what bugs me about TPSes, it feels like you're cheating when you're in cover but can see whenever your enemy is vulnerable. I'm not against cover system in Deus Ex though because they aren't forcing you to use it.
Anyone else agree that Warren Spector is a badass name?
Wait, you could lean in DX1?
Wat. How did you shoot around corners?
Wat. How did you shoot around corners?
Strafe one step out in the open, shoot, step back, repeat.
