It only counts as a kill if the explosion kills someone next to it. But destroying a mech doesn't count as a kill.
oh okay good thanks
I found some barrels.
The physics are so great
Does anyone know if the self-destruct from the bots killing a guard counts as killing them yourself? I don't want to end up having to restart the Pacifist achievement.
Does anyone know if the self-destruct from the bots killing a guard counts as killing them yourself? I don't want to end up having to restart the Pacifist achievement.
It counts.
No, please read the product page on Steam and you'll find out what you get. It's getting annoying to have people keep asking if the Steam version comes with the pre-order weapon kit and mission pack when all you have to do is read the product page.
Except the game website claims you do get the in-game stuff. It was confusing having the two conflicting descriptions.
Why wasn't this explained in-game? Or was it done in the book?
Eliza mentions something about [sp]"Watching both of ones parents die horribly would break anyone"[/sp] or something like that.
alright I need some help again if I set a turret to attack enemies, does that count as kills?
I've been wondering...does jensen shit? I remember he took a lot of damage to the torso and he had a lot of augmentations there. He also can't pick up any food beside power bars and alcohol. He gets called a robot a lot by that detective so I guess that like Bender, the chemical energy in alcohol powers him. [editline]10th September 2011[/editline]
alright I need some help again if I set a turret to attack enemies, does that count as kills?
Yes. Eidos montreal confirmed it on their tumblr
alright I need some help again if I set a turret to attack enemies, does that count as kills?
Yes.
Yes.
wow that's kind of dumb how am I supposed to get into the elevator at Picus?
alright I need some help again if I set a turret to attack enemies, does that count as kills?
Yeah, anything that kills a person that can be traced back to an action of yours counts against the achievement (dropping a person from a lethal height, robot explosion, setting turrets to wipe out a room, etc.). And also, during the Pritchard side-quest when [sp]you revisit Detroit[/sp], giving the [sp]old man who has been shot (forgot his name) the lethal morphine dose[/sp] also counts as a kill. [editline]10th September 2011[/editline]
wow that's kind of dumb how am I supposed to get into the elevator at Picus?
You can stack the boxes scattered around that room to block the two doors, so they won't come into the room. Or you can hide under the small platform next to the elevator, then if you have a cloak, go up to it when the elevator is down.
wow that's kind of dumb how am I supposed to get into the elevator at Picus?
I guess you could hide in a vent then use cloak to get into the elevator once it arrives. If you have a lot of gas mines, you could use them instead
okay that works, I have the cloak
Finished the game just now. Watched the endings. Utterly depressed. I'm assuming that [sp]Illuminati[/sp] is probably canon? Seems that way playing Deus Ex, especially considering the [sp]lack of augmented humans[/sp]. Still though, cracking set of endings. Great game. Oh, out of curiosity, what happens if you don't save [sp]Malik[/sp]? Are the [sp]scientists evac'd by GenericPilotCo. ?[/sp]

[sp]Megan flies 'em out[/sp]
[sp]Megan flies 'em out[/sp]
Curiosity sated. Cheers!
I found this on mmorpg, i've laughed.
Here is a video how [sp]to save Malik without killing anyone[/sp]:
There is a ventilation shaft in [sp] TYM upper tower [/sp] it's one of those big vertical ones, but with no ladder, at the top you can see a [sp] dead body and a notepad [/sp] How do I got up there?
I hope I don't reply too late. A little further you will find a big elevator. Near it, left side, is the shaft you need to take. But you need a box to climb in which is on the right behind a big box so you will need strength augmentation. Most importantly you have to get the Icarus landing system, because to reach the body you have to drop from quite a height. The rewards is tranq gun, weapon upgrade, some reading material and most importantly a pass card which lets through one security checkpoint.

Guys, about the Zhao's security chief, this guy appears everywhere! [sp] If you avoid/stun him every single time, you can meet him even in Panchaea I think, although he's just 'crazy security' there[/sp]
Here is a video how to save *spoiler*
May want to put that name in spoiler tags. You never know. Edit: Oh sweet, concept art. I didn't even know the guy had a deviantART account.
Here's some cool fanart too:

You know, the more I think about it the more I believe [sp]Sarif's[/sp] ending is the least possible to be canon. I haven't played Deus Ex but from all the information I have all the other endings make more or less sense when you look at the first game (maybe [sp]Darrow's[/sp] doesn't fit too, but it could be justified by people not really trusting [sp]a man responsible for genocide[/sp]). Also yesterday I realized the symbolism in JC Denton's name.
Also yesterday I realized the symbolism in JC Denton's name.
Jesus Christ, Denton!
Why wasn't this explained in-game? Or was it done in the book?
Book? Sorry if i sound dumb, but there were books about Deus Ex?
