PEPS master race reporting in (with a bit of Cloak'n'Candy). Also, regarding the debate above (strike that, on the past page), [sp]I think I need to replay again soon, I have little to no idea about the state of MJ12 and the Illuminati during DXHR. I always thought the MJ12 splintering hasn't happened yet (might happen once Page has his nanoaug toy read for his scheme - MJ12 colored troops are already there after all) and that Page was still working with the Illuminati. They talked together about Megan's kidnapping and whether or not she's out of reach after all. Makes you wonder how much Taggert knew tho. But probably he knew as much as he needed to know to do his part as the spokesperson for Humanity Front. Related; it's interesting how sami-elite thinks the Sarif ending is the "strongest" one while I thought it was one of the less thought-out ones. I thought it focused too much on the possibilities and didn't incorporate any lessons learned from the events during the game, and neglecting flaws and weaknesses rather than finding solutions and counter-arguments makes it look weak IMO.[/sp]
[sp]i didn't say it's the strongest one. I just said Adam has the fewest doubts about it. I've done all endings after eachother and in the other 3 he's really unsure about everything. It just means Adam still has some loyalty left for David and his views. Probably because he didn't argue his opinions before this all started. I thought i was pretty clear about there not being a strong ending. But i didn't mention that in all my posts[/sp]
I'm not a member of the glorious PC gaming master race...so I never played the original Deus Ex, but I was aware of its classic status. SO.. I had a shitload of store credit at Gamestop and bought a used copy of DE:HR and the rest is history. I've wanted a game like this for 10 years I just never knew it. I never asked for this, but it's one of the best and most engrossing games I've ever played [editline]11th September 2011[/editline] Also, why are people so fixated on non-lethal playthroughs? I"m not really about the achievements, so I do a mix of both.
Also, why are people so fixated on non-lethal playthroughs? I"m not really about the achievements, so I do a mix of both.
Because killing people is bad and challenges are fun.
Because killing people is bad and challenges are fun.
Imagine a pissed off guy who lost his science team including his girlfriend waiting to get revenge with those deadly augmentations going "OH SHIT I KILLED THAT GUY, NOPE, NOPE, BETTER RESTART THE LEVEL"

He's literally a robot after that and the augmentations. Even JC laughed, god dammit!
Cloak, Icarus landing infront of two guys. Suspicious.
Also, after that incident Adam no longer shows emotion. He's literally a robot after that and the augmentations. Even JC laughed, god dammit!
He's sarcastic as hell, that's a proof of being emotional to me, he's kinda depressed and resentful.
after disabling the alarm trigger, I scared the guy a bit by dragging the dead body
Hey, how did you get it in Czech? I guess you don't have the steam version?

But i didn't mention that in all my posts[/sp]
[sp]Strong or weak ending I judge by how confident or believable Adam's speech sounded. Depending on how you play him, he can be pretty critical of Sarif throughout the game. I always assumed that he was opposing augments for the most part, just judging by the infamous "I never asked for this" and mirror smashing. There's also an option early on where Adam criticizes his boss for doing illegal stuff to get the clue from the morgue in the police station. And you have a quarrel later if you decide to discover Adam's past via sidequest. In the beginning, during the tour through the labs before the attack, Adam also says about Sarif "Yeah, he is a talker". I don't really remember an option where you could specifically side with Sarif (endings aside). All that led me to the assumption that Adam, while not hating Sarif or something, isn't exactly the most loyal or convinced follower - but it's the best job he can hope for after the Mexicantown incident. Maybe it's also partly because of this that I thought the Sarif ending had weaker writing than the others. Adam's just all about how we have a chance and we should use them, which is against his initial character, but wouldn't be character derailment if he explained his character development he experienced throughout the game. You gotta agree, he isn't a fan of augs at the beginning.[/sp]

I got the impression that Adam had misgivings about Sarif but grew to like him more as the game progressed.
Also, why are people so fixated on non-lethal playthroughs? I"m not really about the achievements, so I do a mix of both.
I guess for some it's the challenge or to keep Adam in-character. He was in SWAT after all and if playing SWAT4 taught me anything it's that lethal force is the last resort. [sp]He also refused to use lethal force during the Mexicantown incident[/sp] For me it's just the joy of imagining the anger and confusion of the enemy when someone just walks in, does whatever the hell he wants, and nobody notices until he's gone again. Not even a chance of hurting what you don't notice. Also a bit creepy for them I imagine. You never know if he's in the next room stealing your porn.
I find this game the best game i have ever played.

He can be pretty strict and demanding and all that, but he has a good core and a drive you can't help but respect.

First, did anyone else just thought "WTF" when they found this? [thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/560919435203526651/CA28BF50A4C69991C7C76DC1ED7EAB32625AED1A/[/thumb] (currently on my second (rambo) runthrough taking some screenshots) Second, if I remember correctly, the fetus in that one trailer had "Emile" written somewhere, so fans assumed that was the fetus' name when really it was just some sort of gimmick from the animation studio. In the making-of they said they liked the idea and put "Emile" somewhere as an easteregg. Is this all you find? Third, yet another thing about the ending that I've just noted: [sp]We know Zhao dies, but actually what are the consequences of that? How expendable as the head of TYM was she for the Illuminati and TYM itself? Will it crumble, change direction, become less of a competitor, will it mean Sarif and other biotech companies can expand? What about LIMB, they got a lot of funding from TYM, how would a crippling of TYM (assuming that's a consequence and Zhao couldn't be replaced properly) have an effect on the global augmentation industry? I'm probably a slowpoke, but all of that struck me just a couple of hours ago.[/sp]
I think that the conversation with [sp]Taggart at the end was the best one but I didn't like his ending because it just wasn't for me and I didn't want to help the illuminati[/sp]
Wait, what? You can save Malik? I liked her and I didn't want her to die but I thought it was pre-programmed D;
