Both of you could use a dose of spoilertags I think.
I had a lot of sniper ammo so I sniped a lot of dudes. If you stay too far away then she dies, just get up close, plant an emp mine where the mech drops, then let loose on the belltower guys
I just beat it. Wow. I chose the [sp] No one will be left to say what happened [/sp] ending, I actually liked it more than the others.
[sp] Also, that after-the-credits bit? Holy shit. [/sp]

I don't think I spoiled anything but I put them in because I don't want to to ruin this game the way bioshock was ruined for me

[sp]I recognized Bob Page (mainly due to his voice) in the opening immediately; how willingly Megan worked for him was the real surprise for me. But apparently that he's Bob Page was supposed to be the real twist seeing how they pulled a "my name's Bond. James Bond" at the very end[/sp]
What happens if [sp]you kill the scientists before they can create a diversion?[/sp]

They also don't like being bossed about by signs.
It says, "No Smoking" and yet there's a shitton of cigarette butts on the floor. So by that logic, they've all pissed into the can.
What happens if [sp]you kill the scientists before they can create a diversion?[/sp]
I don't think it's possible.
[sp]Strong or weak ending I judge by how confident or believable Adam's speech sounded. Depending on how you play him, he can be pretty critical of Sarif throughout the game. I always assumed that he was opposing augments for the most part, just judging by the infamous "I never asked for this" and mirror smashing. There's also an option early on where Adam criticizes his boss for doing illegal stuff to get the clue from the morgue in the police station. And you have a quarrel later if you decide to discover Adam's past via sidequest. In the beginning, during the tour through the labs before the attack, Adam also says about Sarif "Yeah, he is a talker". I don't really remember an option where you could specifically side with Sarif (endings aside).
All that led me to the assumption that Adam, while not hating Sarif or something, isn't exactly the most loyal or convinced follower - but it's the best job he can hope for after the Mexicantown incident.
Maybe it's also partly because of this that I thought the Sarif ending had weaker writing than the others. Adam's just all about how we have a chance and we should use them, which is against his initial character, but wouldn't be character derailment if he explained his character development he experienced throughout the game. You gotta agree, he isn't a fan of augs at the beginning.[/sp]
[sp]you side with him when you shut the fuck up and do as he asks. I pretty much did what he asked for, but i never crossed the line when he asked to cheat. I also convinced him.
Is it possible the ending is effected by your interaction with characters throughout the game?
I didn't know that if it's true. In which case i suppose any of the 4 can be a strong ending?[/sp]

I was amazed when i looked at the intro again. There he was. [sp]The guy pulling the strings all along. Or something. I missed if that's the case, but still.[/sp]
I had to look up his name on the wiki though. Makes it better to know who he is. I am sure it's something they put in for the that played the other deus ex games.

I think you're better off asking on dA forum or unpacking the bigfiles and looking there, but then again, I don't think you can find ico files in there, so probably someone on dA can either show you similar one or remake them.
Who does one unpack the bigFiles?
I absolutely love snooping around in a game's files.

Being detected and almost being caught and winning anyway is better.

If you're detected, it's only better if timer says 0.00 and you're successful.
(Apparently quite a few people had it happen a few times, myself included.)

happened to me at least once.
What the dick, [sp]I didn't get the upgraded chip and I still got the EMP effect for namir's fight, what is this?[/sp]
(Third boss & chip spoiler)
Did everyone else here find the boss fights relatively hard? everyone i've talked to said they were really difficult, but i seemed to get through them without too much hassle- I put a whole load of upgrades onto the revolver straight off and just used that, and if you're rocking the non lethal approach you should have plenty of inventory space and spare upgrades.
Really enjoyed the game, I loved the unique art style. It's a pity that, as i got through the game, i noticed the discussion and facial animations looked like arse.

Please donate. We are desperate. Your turn
I just realised that Gary Savage kinda looks like Austin Grossman, one of the writers for the first game
