Deus Ex: Human Revolution V3 - I Never Asked For This

I hate how they decided to give you the preorder exclusive weapons right at the beginning of the game directly in your inventory, because I can never get myself to throw them away. If they decided to put them on a wall right at the beginning of the game I could've ignored them.

Alright finally finished the campaign on my 2nd try after getting stuck in China :v: Got all the augmentations that I actually wanted and a lot more!
Used only stun gun, sneaky lethal/non-lethal take downs for enemys. And plasma rifle to mow down some of the crazies at the end. Also did quite a lot of hacking, and I always had the urge the sweep the areas thoroughly.
Also I went with Sarif's desire, as always. But I was pretty silver tongued at a times anyway too. So, fucking awesome game, whoop. Never even played any of the older Deus Ex's.

They should have been in Jensen's crib.

I wish my vision was augmented so I didn't have to see that.

Korjax's friend here bumming off his tablet.
I have the xbox version, and so far I've been able to find the preordered weaponry in shops. Albeit I had to wait to get out of Detroit. I've been able to also find one of the weapons in Detroit, so far. Not exactly sure how each of the preorders work, but this is how mine went. so unless you'd like to sell those weapons for a little cash boost up front (Which you probably wont need since I think the preorder gives you 10,000 credits upfront), you shouldn't feel too bad about dropping those bad boys for more inventory space.
Mine came with the Silenced Sniper Rifle, and the Double-Barreled Shotgun. I was able to find the shotgun in the [sp]Hung Hua hotel in Heng Sha, shop on the first floor.[/sp], and I was able to find the silenced sniper rifle at the [sp]Alice Pod Gardens in Heng Sha, first hotel on the right, up the stairs and shop is in the left corner[/sp].
You can also find a silenced sniper rifle in [sp]Surats secret weapon garage in Detroit, which I think you get the code for by either hacking his safe in the back room, or by giving the stereotypical black woman on the street right off of Sarif Industries 4 beers (Hop Devils, specifically)[/sp]
Note: Korjax mentioned that the preorder shotgun might be ornate compared to the one you can buy. I have no clue, I didn't check :I If anyone knows throw that out there so I don't sell my possibly ornate silenced sniper rifle and double barrel.

Augment your browser with adblock.
That's not even close, his arms aren't augmented >:(

Who cares, he's a fucking dragon now.
Ok so while reading through some of the questions submitted to Eidos Montreal on tumblr, I found this one:
Will Deus Ex : Human Revolution feature a romance plot-line?
Anonymous
Frank says:
Yes. The extent to which it unfolds does depend on how deep you dig though…
Now aside from Adam's interrupted relationship with Megan, what exactly are they hinting at? Did I miss something entirely?
Do you guys think the voices at the end of the missing link trailer are those of the [sp] Hyron drone women?[/sp] and therefore the people Adam mentions in the trailer that he could not save?
Do you ever get to go to upper hengsha?
Do you ever get to go to upper hengsha?
Not properly like a hub area. In-fact you barely see anything of it since you're [sp]inside Tai Yong Medical.[/sp]

DLC Q&A
“The Missing Link, while it is narratively tied with the main game, will be a separate item on the main menu. That way you’ll be able to enjoy it no matter where your saves are in the main game.”
this is really good news to me. Having to start a new game from the very beginning would've been a little too excruciating. I mean even the intro sequence where you walk behind Megan feels like such a chore after having to go through it 3 or 4 times already.
That's why I made a savegame right after that long walking sequence to avoid it.
Q: You asked for a hard question so here it is. Why did you abandon the principles of the immersive sim when it was one of the central philosophies driving the development of the original Deus Ex?
A: “Another “you defiled DX1” comment? J
Well for one, I don’t think we abandoned it.
We toned it down, ok, we missed some good opportunities too, but part of it is still there. We could’ve made the whole game in 3rd person after all, had we wanted to. It was a conscious decision to keep first-person in.
It was also a conscious decision to have gameplay conversations and hacking sequences in first-person.
However, when making a game, you can’t have it all. You cannot design a game that will appeal to everyone.
So we had to pick and choose.
We’re you hoping for a first-person-only experience? With no cover system, no regen, lean keys, no take-downs, melee combat and everything in the environment being interactive?
If you were, then I’m sorry for you, but that’s not the game we set out to create, because that’s not the game we felt the majority of players wanted to play.
Simulation may be very immersive, but it’s not always fun. It may even be quite the opposite in some instances.
Our primary focus was on making a game that works and that is fun for most people. We tried to remain immersive whenever we could, but we also pull you out when we think it’s best for the game.
The cover system wasn’t introduced because it’s trendy and the flavor of the month.
We put it in because it made stealth better and workable by allowing you to see your environment and move while remaining hidden.
Also, having the cover system puts new players in the right frame of mind regarding combat. This is no run-and-gun game and having a cover system is a clear indication of that.
Is it immersive to see Jensen in 3rd-person and still having the HUD show up on-screen? Maybe not, but it makes for better gameplay and I think the reviews validate those choices.
Maybe in the future we’ll figure out how to do stealth work beautifully in 1st-person (and please, don’t tell me DX1 nailed it in that respect, I don’t believe that), but this wasn’t the project and we weren’t the team to do it.
In the end, we tried our damndest to get as many things right as possible.”
I always feels sorry for Eidos Montreal when people ask questions like this.

And just look at the comments on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhCLThRNr_A
Q: Who are the new characters and will anyone from The Icarus Effect play a role in The Missing Link?
A: “The new characters are Netanya Keitner and Pieter Burke. Both work for Belltower Associates. More info on them soon!
And while it is not essential in any way to have read The Icarus Effect, it is certainly a good idea to do so not only because the DLC has subtle references to it, but also because it’s a great novel, period.”
When they say subtle reference it better be more than a head-nod in it's vague general direction.

No doubt it will reference Ben given he was with Belltower for years. That or it will talk about events.

Possibly Janus giving a helping hand?
Possibly Janus giving a helping hand?
Depending on how long the DLC is, they MIGHT be able to fit Janus in without it looking tacked on but who knows. Janus was a fucking weird character and I wish they had elaborated more on it.

I always thought Janus was some sort of AI; a precursor to Daedalus, but [sp]Eliza Cassan[/sp] kinda messed up that trail of thought.

Well given that [sp]Everett works at Picus its safe to assume that she is definitely a precursor.[/sp]
The way Janus acted at the end makes me think its human, but there's nothing concrete to say its human.

Just had a brain wave, [sp] Janus could be Hugh Darrow, remember Janus showed Kelso images of augs rioting and killing on the streets, well only Darrow knew that would happen [/sp]

Also, [sp]it could have been Taggart or someone else affiliated with him, given Taggart wants augs gone.
I just thought what if the Illuminati purposely made Ben go after Taggart to futher make augs look bad. I mean given we find out Taggart is with Illuminati in the game and the agenda was to control augs, that whole scenario with Ben would really help boost that control. Never wanted him dead and knew Ben wouldn't do it so it all worked.[/sp]

yeah I thought that was pretty much spelled out. it was a xanatos gambit, whatever ben did it worked out to the illuminati's advantage either way

I figured they wouldn't let someone like him get anywhere close to the truth, but after playing the game it really puts it into perspective.
so i take it theres not an autosave mod for deus ex?
