I'm there right now, resorting to cowering behind cover and throwing boxes at the robots.
I don't think it's working :v:
Anyone know the password?
Wait shit yeah I don't have the aug to disable robots anyway. FFFFFFFFF
You can in theory kill them with boxes/objects but I think it would take ages without the strength aug.

Sounds like a good time to test that theory
So I was doing my 3rd playthrough, non-lethal, walking around detroit, I go through the metro tunnel and get past the dancing punk, suddenly I turn hostile for no reason yet a cop doesn't shoot me, so I think it's nothing and I keep moving, once I get to the exit which is nearest to the police station, 2 cops run at me and kill me, and now my savegame is stuck there and if I decide to turn back and take an alternative route, if I come anywhere close to the police department I get shot. And I need to get into the damn morgue, I havent even spoken to Haas yet
What the fucking fuck.
Kill them. Then go into the police station, and kill them. Then go to the morgue. Then leave.
At least, that's why I did in my latest playthrough. (KILL FUCKING EVERYTHING PLAYTHROUGH)

Is there a way to show NPC health in the game, like with that trainer-thing that someone released a while back that let you alter NPC behaviour, edit inventories and stuff?
Honestly, I think you should allow yourself to use the hacking augmentation. I have no idea how you will beat Fedorova and Namir, but I'm certainly amazed you got this far with your plan.

Well if killing bosses still counts as nonlethal in Eidos' eyes I could break the rules there.
Still pissed I can't defeat these bots though.

Haven't noticed anything of that kind with the debug menu as of yet.
Y-Yelena?
She's coming for you Adam.
In a last-ditch effort I tried backtracking to see if I could find any explosive barrels that I could take up with me to the hanger.
There isn't a single fucking one in the whole of the TYM tower.

For once a big company like that DOESN'T have volatile chemicals and explosives laying about. Political correctness gone awry?
She's coming for you Adam.
Adam... run.
She's coming for you Adam.
Wow, I got instantly reminded of "They're waiting for you, Gordon. (In the test chamberrr)" after reading that.

You would have thought that the Combine would have enough to share around, even to other game universes
Turns out the Boss fights were outsourced a.k.a make by a different studio. No wonder they sucked balls.

Better late than never :v:
I know not everyone likes enemies that take shitload of damage to kill or that it's always nice if there is some special way to take a boss down. But I just love boss fights. There's something about them, usually the opponent looks, attacks differently. I wish they let us know them better and give us more options how to eliminate them but the DXHR battles aren't bad. Definitely not impossible if you aren't limiting yourself somehow (You can kill them without punishment, usually lots of weapon laying around, each of them has a weakness).

Source?
The bosses made it feel even more like MGS - Vulcan Raven, Cyberninja, and finally... Liquid snake?

I was wondering why the boss fight felt so different from the rest of the game. I assumed it was because I was playing all sneaky, and they forced me to run and gun.
But...Spam EMP and expoldo-revolver shots, boom, job done. There where almost too easy.

I see.
Also is it just me or is the Hengsha ambient quite similar to some Just Cause 2 music?

I agree that the boss fights are out of place with not being able to choose, but I think it's kind of relieving to be able to unload on a boss after a long session of non-lethal sneaking as well, without consequences such as losing your Non-lethal run opportunity. (Though I'm still on first playthrough, just got to Heng Sha, so understandable to those wanting the freedom of choice after non-lethal runs.)
I got some more stuff for the book-worms on finding out who Janus is.
When Anna first meets him he says:
[sp]"I found Juggernaut and became one of their circle. I'm doing it for the same reason as you, Anna. Because they killed someone who was important to me."
Can anyone remember anything being said about Darrow losing someone or could this mean Janus is Sarif or someone else?[/sp]
[sp]>Sarif possibly Janus[/sp]

[sp]Doesn't really fit. Maybe Pritchard.[/sp]
Edit:
Good job missing the point [sp]I'm not boasting about finding the email, there are other spoiler tags on top of this one as well, Kalkka and maqzek[/sp]
[sp]Not Pritchard, he doesn't know anything about the Illuminati until Adam finds out in-game. Icarus Effects takes place mostly around the time Adam is on sick leave. I still think Janus is Darrow, only he could know so much about the Illuminati's workings. Also the way Janus talks about Icarus and Daedalus and other things makes him seem too much like Darrow for him not to be.[/sp]
This is just like pure dreaming, as I know how much time it would take, but I think it would fucking amazing if Deus Ex 1 got upgraded to the HR engine and gameplay type, I dunno, I just feel like Deus Ex isn't new player friendly, and it could benefit from what HR was, but maybe I'm being stupid
Shit, been ages since read Icarus Effect. I really need to read that.
