are you kidding they'd fucking tear the thing to pieces
Precisely. You don't change things before people get a chance to make the thing actually work. That's how you make enemies.
BTW, if IW is remade then there needs to be a total rethinking. 1. Paul is dead. NO QUESTIONS. Paul living is a generic happily ever after ending. 2. Jock lives. He was too good a character to ignore in Invisible Dick. 3. NO MORE UNIAMMO. 4. No game changing decisions at the beginning. 5. The beginning needs to be rethought. That makes no sense how someone could destroy a city with some lipstick that turns everything to stone.
You mean when Deus Ex gets a sequel?
After playing it for the third time all I have to say is [SP]DAVID SARIF WAS RIGHT[/SP]
I still don't understand how the new DLC will fit into the game.
It will be a main menu option and it will also be added to the single player.
Yeah one thing that is terrible about saving characters in DX games is that the only reward is a single scene changing (IE Paul appearing before you get to Page in DX1). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh and if there is a DX remake there should be something like the typhoon that sends an energy pulse/whateverthefuck out that turns every NPC and destructable entity in a certain radius to stone.
1. I don't see how Paul would've died, he's certainly hardcore enough to survive the collapse. 2. Jock would be more likely to get killed than Paul would 3. Yep, universal ammo took out a lot of the reward for searching everywhere. 4. I don't see why they shouldn't have it if it fits the plot. 5. Weaponised grey goo nanites seems perfectly plausible to me.
Also, Sarif's accent was fun as fuck.
Also, Sarif's accent was fun as fuck.
Adaaaam, stop reading this in my voice
I think I'll take a break from Deus Ex:HR for now. I played it a lot. Funny thing, in all my playthroughs I didn't manage to get the Doctorate achievement. I didn't really try to get it, but I do love exploring areas so I thought maybe if I'm lucky I get it. No success. When I do my next playthrough I'll do my best to earn it.
After playing it for the third time all I have to say is [SP]DAVID SARIF WAS RIGHT[/SP]
You didn't think he was right from the beginning?
The third boss. How. What. How.
You didn't think he was right from the beginning?
Yes but in these games people betray you left and right so you don't know who you can trust. But in the end, Sarif is the only one who doesn't turn against you. And as tvtropes says:
you find David Sarif with a few survivors in a machine room barricading themselves against the berserk augs, and his first reaction on seeing you — you, the multimillion-credit super-soldier killing machine that has been his loyal killbot all through the game so far — is 'Adam! Oh thank God! I've got wounded here, we'll have to move them first'. Thus making him perhaps the only cyberpunk CEO in all of fiction whose first words wouldn't be 'Get me to the chopper now, first thing! ... oh, and them too, maybe later, if you have the time.'
David Sarif for fucking president, man.
I don't even know why, but the from the very first moment I talked to Sarif, I instantly liked the guy.
I liked pushing him around during the conversation in his office, though. DON'T CHANGE THE SUBJECT, BOSS.
I liked pushing him around during the conversation in his office, though. DON'T CHANGE THE SUBJECT, BOSS.
He can be a snake, but even when he is he's pleasant to talk to. That's probably why I like the guy.
Even though it turned out he's not against you in any way, from the first moment I met him, I felt like he's that kind of guy that rarely shares all the important info with you.
Sarif is really nice for most of it, but towards the end, I dunno, I started to feel a little unsure about him. Doesn't he say, like, "So people will get left behind, that's evolution, son!"
