Not sure why Tong isn't talking to ya, but you can knock out the bartender for the same prize you'd get from the Jaya mission.
I need to talk to Tong, to progress the main quest. [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] Tong [sp]is the upstairs bartender, and won't talk to me, and I killed Jaya, so now I have no way of talking to him[/sp]. How do I sneak in to the hive like the wiki says?

[sp]Got through to the basement, knocked out a guy and listened in on tong's conversation with some british guy.[/sp]
that's not ironic! that is not what irony means! he made a correct assumption about you, how is that ironic?
It was a self-fulfilling prophecy he made. He said an aug would kill him - him saying an aug would kill him caused an aug to kill him.
It was a self-fulfilling prophecy he made. He said an aug would kill him - him saying an aug would kill him caused an aug to kill him.
Ok well first of all he's not the grand master of life and death, he didn't cause his own death to occur just by saying he will be killed. And second of all, a fulfilled prediction is not irony. Even if you think he caused it.
I only killed people when I was on the mood to kill. I knocked out / stun gunned more people than I killed though. And I never killed by using actual firearms.
I only killed people when I was on the mood to kill. I knocked out / stun gunned more people than I killed though. And I never killed by using actual firearms.
I didn't kill because it was just easier to Cause killing is so loud.
I didn't kill because it was just easier to Cause killing is so loud.
Until you find a silencer.
I need serious help. On startup, game won't launch due to "Archive BIGFILE.003 Isn't big enough!"
Until you find a silencer.
No it's still fucking loud!
Until you find a silencer.
Hard to silence screams/shouts. [editline]21st September 2011[/editline]
I need serious help. On startup, game won't launch due to "Archive BIGFILE.003 Isn't big enough!"
Verify cache?
Hard to silence screams/shouts.
Headshots.
Headshots.
...and guards dropping dead right in front of others. All fine, resume patrol.
Hard to silence screams/shouts.
You shouldn't be screaming with a bullet in your brain.
Hard to silence screams/shouts. [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] Verify cache?
How?
How?
Right click > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game cache.
As far as I know it was a pretty inferior version. http://kentie.net/article/dxps2/index.htm
Its heavily inferior. They even cut down some of the level sizes, you can see straight away how that will detract from the experience.
I'm a bit annoyed that lethal takedowns are loud. Sure, the enemy can't be revived but most of the time you take out targets out of sight anyway. Come on, those animations are KEWL!!!! I want to see them!
One thing I like to do is do a non-lethal takedown, then drag the body into a safe place, then put a bullet in his head with a silenced 10mm.

Do you get XP for a second takedown? ie. Knocking someone out, let them get revived, then knock them out again?
One thing I like to do is do a non-lethal takedown, then drag the body into a safe place, then put a bullet in his head with a silenced 10mm.
I guess I was wrong when I thought I was the only one to do that.

I still don't know if that counts.

There are a few different definitions that come under irony, and that is the least used today. We just use sarcasm.
I thought finding Taggart and Sarif was pretty easy. I mean, it was rather tiring, getting past all those people without killing anyone for the sake of kindness, but once you do it's very easy. Also, Deus Ex: Icarus Effect is pretty good. They should make a game out of it. Prequel of the prequel.
There are a few different definitions that come under irony, and that is the least used today. We just use sarcasm.
Why are you always raging when we go offtopic yet your previous messages were just about the meaning of irony?
that is barely off topic and you are only helping to get it even more off topic!! here, have a picture of george costanza
that is barely off topic and you are only helping to get it even more off topic!!
Talking about the definition of irony is more offtopic than discussing a Human Revolution-styled site. [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] but suure, let's move on.
Not only that but you get more XP for doing non-lethal takedowns. [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] Wait... Do you get XP for a second takedown? ie. Knocking someone out, let them get revived, then knock them out again?
No, but if they had a weapon such as an assault rifle, then you silently take them down and let them get revived, they'll sometimes pull out a secondary firearm (normally a pistol) you can then knock them out for to steal and sell. It's a neat trick if you want to make a little extra cash. On that note, don't ever pick up a gun for ammo if you're near a store. They always sell more individually (Since for whatever reason enemies never carry a full clip and you normally only pick up a bullet or two from dropped guns). This is what I did for Surat's stash, just grabbed all his guns and sold them back to him for a nice cash boost at the beginning :v:
