Double XP for headshots is too much if you ask me though, maybe if you got double for one-shot-one-kill without them knowing you're there it'd be better.
You get double XP headshot if you do it while they are unconscious?? :D
Pre-ordered my Augmented Edition today. How well will a GTS 250 run it?
Hmm. Seems I only own Invisible War and NOT the original Deus Ex. Peculiar.
Apart from the DX10 renderer, New vision and Deus Ex Enhanced what mods do you guys recommend for Deus ex?
Shifter and Biomod, which is one of the only mods I know of that works cohesively with shifter. Has all of the benefits of shifter, but with an autosave, pickpocketing, climbing (Like in IW), augs that work in context (ADS only uses energy when a rocket explodes) and they buffed swimming/nerfed regen. On another subject, I dont get all of the IW hate. It was definitely a disappointment, not a worthy DX sequel, and there were a LOT of crap parts (UI, universal ammo, floaty and weak engine, were all terrible and inexcusable) but I have to say there was a lot more player choice and the augs were way cooler (Bot dominator and a fucking robot that ate kids). Also the plot was pretty interesting; whereas DX had a more definite enemy (MJ12) and allies (A loosely-defined 'resistance', see former UNATCO, Tong, etc and To an extent the Illuminati), IW had more ambiguous groups, and even though the game did push you down certain paths (Templars are evil, Helios is good) At the end of the game most every group is pretty evil, you are only deciding who is more or less evil/who is evil in the right ways, etc. Just my two cents, I really hated it the first time I played it and liked it after retrying it when I was bored a year later, but I think its a pretty good game on its own merits (Especially compared to most other FPS around when it was released), and it probably would have been received much better as a standalone. You can see this after the HR Leak, with people hating it because it doesnt meet the unrealistic expectations.
Pre-ordered my Augmented Edition today. How well will a GTS 250 run it?
I can max it on my 250 GTS (without DX10).
On another subject, I dont get all of the IW hate.
Let me quote a tidbit I read earlier. Reviewers are a bunch of unreliable twats anyway. If you ever read any Alpha Protocol review you know what I mean.
I'm sure Invisible war wasn't completely terrible, people just had high expectations because of how brilliant the original DX was. And were very disappointed.
Yeah, i don't know if I'll ever bother to finish it. Isn't awful, though.
I haven't -technically- finished DX either.

First time I played Deus Ex I couldn't stop playing. I didn't really get into it until after Hell's Kitchen, though. After that I was just glued to my monitor. Hong Kong was just so cool.
I loved Invisible War.
Invisible War... I'd love to keep playing it but I cannot STAND those frequent and long load times.
Invisible War... I'd love to keep playing it but I cannot STAND those frequent and long load times.
Long load times?
Long load times?
Yeah, they made the loading screens last a certain amount of time, like BioWare did with Mass Effect 2. I think it was to show off how the Xbox loaded at the same time as the PC.

Should I record myself opening the collector's edition? Some people do that, don't they?
Oh god my orange juice All over my keyboard
You spill your drink?
You spill your drink?
Laughing while drinking orange juice is unhealthy for your environment.
You spill your drink?
I never asked for this.
I never asked for this.
What a shame. [editline]2nd August 2011[/editline] I hope Jensen says "What a shame." in a deadpan tone, or any of JC's more well known lines just for a shout out.
You spill your drink?
From my mouth
Oh god my orange juice All over my keyboard
Well, be glad it's orange, not some lemon-lime!
Reviewers are a bunch of unreliable twats anyway. If you ever read any Alpha Protocol review you know what I mean.
"Stealth is useless." "Stealth is overpowered." "The pistol is the only good weapon in the game." "There's no point in using anything other than the assault rifle." "This game too harshly punishes specialisation." "This game forces you to specialise." Then I played it and had to ask if anyone had played the game all the way through.

I love the original Deus Ex, I can't really even pinpoint just what kept me interested in it for so long. It's just an awesome game.
