Anyone remember that email from Sarif saying that the skull gun was impossible?
I started playing the original deus ex like 2 weeks ago, and I loved it! It had this classic feel that was great, wish I got into it earlier. Just bought HR today, installing...
A bit late but generally people with augments typo a lot since they don't have good tactile feedback of the keyboard [editline]24th September 2011[/editline] Case in point.
is this just fan reasoning, or is there actually something established in the lore? it makes sense.
So no gibbed mod pack ( mal selector and such ) for the last version ? I'm fucking sad bro.
How many years before first game does HR take place?
How many years before first game does HR take place?
The year that Deus Ex 1 takes place in is ambiguous - there are a few contradictions within the game itself, but it's generally assumed to be in the early 2050s. HR takes place in 2027.
World didn't seem to grow exactly much more technological, comparing them.
World didn't seem to grow exactly much more technological, comparing them.
If I remember correctly the global economy collapsed in the 2040s, and I'm pretty sure the first game takes place in 2052.
A lot of Deus Ex's 'tech downgrades' can simply be explained by the graphical limitations of the time: Gunter, Alex Jacobson, UNATCO troopers and Tong all wear very futuristic outfits for example, but the low texture quality makes them seem much more dull. The DirectX patch remedies some of this actually - Alex's clothes for example look far more futuristic with a built in keyboard and tech ports on his jacket. The only major 'downgrade' that I really noticed is in vehicles and newspapers. Although given that DX takes place mostly in slums, you can explain this away.
If I remember correctly the global economy collapsed in the 2040s, and I'm pretty sure the first game takes place in 2052.
That might make for a nice DX game, if they did it right.
Just beat the game, and all endings were fantastically done. They all seem like things he would do.
Tudd Fudders may I suggest: http://us.deusex-store.com/product/EGX-D3_COAT-VT-001_Trenchcoat If its ever in stock again.
Needs some custom design.
Just beat the game, and all endings were fantastically done. They all seem like things he would do.
Ending was kind of a let down. First they let you choose any ending regardless of the choices you made (yeah yeah there are "good" and "evil" endings, they change ~5 lines in the cutscene, that's nothing) and it's just a cutscene. No aftermath, not even a hint. Yeah, the cutscenes were really well acted, but they felt flat. Considering how well-executed the rest of the story was, the "ending-o-matic" was pretty subpar.
This game would have easily been GOTD for me if the boss fights and ending were like MGS3's bossfights and endings - in that MGS3 had some of the best boss fights and one of the best endings to a video game I've ever played. In addtion to the character models being closer to Mass Effect in look vs. something from the xbox generation, but that's pretty minor overall.
Deus Ex reminded me of Mass Effect I still don't know how...
Rate me late, then I can say "IT'S TUDD FUDDERS". Also why did you get banned from youtubes?
With the attention that mega64 brought, some company filed a copyright complaint on a song I used from Clockwork Orange. Even though the movie is old and it's technically fair use to use classical songs (even if remixed), Kenny Vs Spenny uses that soundtrack, so the company used a audio recognition that automatically sent a complaint. So I filed my counter complaint and got unbanned, annoying.
