I already said this, you can blow them up with explosives.
And not all of these issues are really issues per se, it's just things i find really funny and which distract me from what is supposed to be a serious story.
Then you already knew there was a weakened wall there. The punching one is for people who don't know a weak wall when they see one.
What is that shit on Walton Simons face?
Actually they do make you see, they make them highligt in yellow, and it's not even like you have to punch through them, you can just use explosive's, so it's not just because there would be no point in knowing them before you get the upgrade.
And excuse me for thinking that is hilarious, the way i see it he has like a camera in his arm that can see how "weak" or "strong" a wall is with magic.
And he also has some implant which makes him able to stop time while he punches people, but only while he punches people, i mean that is fucking hilarious, imagine him hiring some moron to be his punching bag and then punching him constantly while dragging him right into the middle of somewhere, making him just appear there out of nowhere with some halfway dead dude next to him.
Psst
his vision is augmented too you know
thus the fucking glasses embedded in his skull.
Seriously stop being retarded with your nitpicking.
Psst

I know that, the augment is in his arm though, atleast that's what the game says.
Then you already knew there was a weakened wall there. The punching one is for people who don't know a weak wall when they see one.
Ehm.
What?
Most of those walls look pretty much exactly the same as any other wall.
I think that either im just misunderstanding what you are saying, or you misunderstood what i was saying.
It's cool how Jensen's spine is augmented as to stop it from snapping due to the insane force caused to it by punching a wall.

The arm gets strengthened enough to punch through walls. Clearly your eye augmentation is augmented as well, giving it the ability to analyze the structural integrity of a wall and displaying visual feedback to you.
Also, the weak walls have visible cracks on them. Look closely.

Wait, so there are obvious cracks in the walls in the headquarters of every other giant billion dollar corporation in the world, and none of them ever thought about doing a few repairs?
It's cool how Jensen's spine is augmented as to stop it from snapping due to the insane force caused to it by punching a wall.
His arm absorbs most of the force due to its strength enhancement.
Anyway at multiple times in the game Jensen gets knocked about much more than just punching a wall. He manages to walk away from having forced his way through a glass window (Which is a LOT harder than the average film makes it out to be) and falling ungracefully from the first floor. He doesn't get off without a scratch, but he survives well enough to stumble away.
Wait, so there are cracks in the walls of the most ludicrously rich in the worlds' houses?
Even me, who does not exactly have much money would repair something like that.
Your nitpicking gets more and more retarded
but sure I'll bite
It's not unfeasible for a SINGLE piece of wall to go unnoticed long enough for adam to come along and punch through it. Hell, they might have noticed it already and be just about to get it fixed, or even in the process of fixing it; judging by the size of the cracks, it would take time to repair.
Which "Most ludicrously rich [people] in the worlds' houses" are you talking about, anyway? I don't recall wandering around Duclare mansion in human revolution.

He could have survived falls like that with no damage at all ingame, and i dont see why he jumped through the glass window actually, i guess it might be because there might be some people who did not have some kind of pistol there, besides i know a guy that crashed through a glass window once actually, and besides the getting cut a lot from the shards it did not hurt much, according to himself atleast.
and also, this is the guy that can get shot in the face and only need a few seconds to recover from it.
Personally i think the force of the explosion did most of the damage to him, if not all of it.

Dude, cracks in the wall's in the headquarters of Picus, the news station that has gained a complete monopoly over all the others and has a freaking artificial inteligence doing the reports.
What more do i need to say?

Bioelectrics.

It's not the breaking through the window itself that hurts, unless you get cut, it's just the fact that he had to slam himself against it like three times in order to break through.
And he survived landings like that while he was prepared for the landing, at this point he was positioned side-on, shoulder forward, with a lot of momentum from when he was charging at the window.
Getting shot in the face is an instant kill on normal-hard difficulty.
And he jumped out of the window because it was the closest exit where he wouldn't get blown to bits on the way out.
Also I call bullshit on you apparently having jumped through a window in real life. Internet tough guy much.

First, yeah that was not me as i edited it to say, was my brother, and he did not exactly jump through it, but who cares about that.
Second, he did not smash against it like three times, he threw a chair at it and then smashed against it once.
Third, he was prepared for the fall, unless he is just an abselute moron ofcourse.
Fourth, i was implying that he could just have shot the glass instead of smashing through it, not that he should have gone another way.
Anyway, this argument is getting pretty fucking stupid, there are some things that i dislike about this game, i never said that i hated the game or anything, it was pretty good, i just dont think it should have just been a first person shooter with some RPG elements mixed in, instead of an actual sequel that really built on and improved the ideas of the original.

1-lol
2-No, he threw a chair at it and then I'm pretty sure it took several attempts to force the glass to break.
3-He made a running charge at it, and to break through he must have been running shoulder-first to shatter it, like breaking down a door. When you break a door down, the momentum keeps you going forward and you usually lose your balance due to the sudden lack of resistance. Now imagine that, except suddenly there's no floor. Your momentum makes you pitch forward, meaning you land flat on your shoulder, which is a less-than-ideal way to land because it's hard to roll with the landing.
4-Bullet holes do not make a whole glass window shatter, forget hollywood physics. They just make small bullet-sized holes in it. You'd have to shoot it a whole lot more to make a hole large enough to go through, and he only had ten seconds.

4 - It's also possible the player was doing the mission as Jensen, a more guile hero, was meant to, i.e. not firing guns. 'Cause, remember, there were a shitload of Belltower dudes there, plus one of those big-ass robots that fold out of a box if you didn't kill it. I doubt he'd want to fire guns willy-nilly if there was a chance it wouldn't do anything.
elowin just stop

1-yup.
2-Well i just played through that part of the game yesterday, so i would very much hope i am right on that one, or something is seriously wrong with my memory.
3-I for one had the icarus landing thing, he could easily have activated that since he was planing on crashing through the window and knew he was gonna fall a distance after that.
4-Revolver with explosive rounds.

I killed all of them since im such a douche though.
Melee'd all of them, the robot too if Typhoon counts.
Anyway, let's talk about something i did like in this game, that silent running aug, it would be so awesome doing a stealth run and never getting caught, while sprinting through almost all of it.
Also the Plasma Rifle was pretty fucking cool, it was way OP though, beating the final boss while using that is way too easy, but my god it feels awesome to use it, even if you pretty much only get to kill zombies with it.
You don't get to abuse game mechanics in one breath and nitpick at rpg deficiencies in the next.
Just admit it's a game and some concessions are made in order to make it, you know,
fun.
Hey did you ever notice how if you used the dual takedown's on people, they would always fight back with martial art's moves of their own.
Well i just realised that this still applies to civilian's and zombie's.
That is totally awesome!
Everybody was Kung-Fu fighting.
The Icarus Landing System probably needs some sort of activation on Jensen's behalf to prevent it being activated when he doesn't want it to. And, being in an awkward falling position, he could have been unable to activate it properly.
Either that or the conditions were not correct for the device to activate automatically - It was only the first floor, and as you said, he's fallen from those heights without taking damage. If it activates based off velocity then he might not have been falling fast enough. After all, it was not the fall distance that hurt him, it was the fact that he landed in an awkward position.
Also if you deliberately took out all the guards and/or zombies then you can't complain that it's "Not deus ex" because you're clearly not playing it as if it were Deus Ex.
Silent running I didn't buy because I preferred the passive augs that didn't require energy, or at least not too much energy. I did get cloaking because it was just really useful, and the x-ray vision because the drain was too insignificant to affect gameplay.

Ofcourse i did not play it like it was Deus Ex, that was pretty damn late in the game, and by then i had already given up on being a master of explosive's that learned Kung-Fu on the side, instead i was a insane person with a revolver that shoot's explosive's.
And also, yeah, we don't really know how the hell the Icarus thing works, so who knows.
Silent running takes barely any energy by the way, and it is really really usefull in certain situations.

How is that "Playing like it's Deus Ex"?
How is that "Playing like it's Deus Ex"?
See, that is the beauty of Deus Ex, there were so many ways to play it, personally i mainly leveled up explosives, handguns and hacking on my first try.
Obviously i failed completely, but it was fun.

Sure, and I could play Deus Ex by always charging in guns blazing, but that wouldn't be generally considered as "Playing it like Deus Ex".
The most widely accepted definition of that would be to use stealth most of the time, using non-lethal takedowns with the cattle prod where necessary, with good hacking, lockpicking and electronic skills (and swimming).
It's fun to stun people and then throw them off rooftops, or shoot them in the face after getting the extra xp.

Well playing Deus Ex Human Revolution like that would be impossible.
There is no cattle prod.
Besides, i was going to use explosives like i use explosive's in MGS, for distractions and traps.
The blades in Adam's arms remind me of those retractable tape measures.
Question:
You are given a chance to get ONE of the augmentations adam can get for free. Which one will it be?
I'd personally like Social Enhancer to get rid of my god awful argumentation skills.
