Nope, even if someone dies, you get the achievement, I did it this way.
Did you hack any turrets?

No, neither did I reprogram robots or cameras :(
That's hella weird. Are you sure everybody was still alive? Guys like Diamond Chan count too.

What? That 4chan expy can die? I just punched him in the face after [sp]he gave me the info[/sp]
Or do you mean that [sp]Dutch hacker? I gave him a SMG, and he contacted me later, so I assume he's alive too[/sp].
Also [sp]I didn't give that dieing detective a morphine overdose, I used the OMEGA speech option, but he still died.[/sp]

You have to forcefully kill someone to fuck up pacifist. Choosing not to help people shouldn't count. [sp]giving that detective morphine counts as a kill[/sp].
Ah, who cares anyway? I know that I did a pacifist playthrough, so why should I care about some small icon?
I bet some dude glitched out and fell out of the map. That happened to me before

Also, easy way to [sp] save Malik, rush to the right building, jump to the second floor, knock out the two guards and the one coming up, if you have mines, toss two EMP mines or four FRAG mines on the spot that the bot will land, it will also kill one or two heavy guards, giving you some extra time to kill/knock the rest of them out.[/sp]
About not getting Pacifist, sometimes the takedown animations fuck up and you are suddenly in the air and your victim falls down from high place or directly through solid ground. That might happened to you. Also the tranq rifle sometimes kills even though it tells you it was non-lethal kill (but I'm not sure if it counts).

I meant Diamond Chan, the guy [sp] you are supposed to push down the roof or frame him during the Ning case.[/sp]

Bullshit, I gave him the morphine and got the achievement. :v:

I threw him down too and still got the achievement.
I think that if you ever get "Man Down" XP points then it disables the achievement.
I think.

Wiki says that shouldn't happen.

[sp]I just placed the drugs in his apartment, I didn't threw him of the roof[/sp]
There's something about the press start screen that strikes a chord deep within me. the music and the constant wind of polygons forming faces of characters. it's such an abstract feeling. maybe one of fleeting, because when i learned the game was short it became even more pronounced.
this is probably one of the best games i've played in the past decade, if not the best. so far i've only really used my trusty 10mm with all the enhancements plus damage and rate of fire upgrades. in fact i don't really recall using any other weapon besides it apart from the beginning when you are forced to use the assault rifle. it's kind of funny because i've also got a fully upgraded assault rifle, a shotgun, a fully upgraded revolver with the explosive bullet enhancement (which is extremely fun to use), which i used it in the part where you get ambushed in the [sp]chinese bitch's[/sp] tower. but after killing everyone with it i noticed the vent then reloaded my save, spent all 4 points on cloaking and got a ghost rating getting to the helipad. i might have another weapon or two but i never used them either.
the 10mm is one of the most satisfying weapons i've ever used in a game when it's fully upgraded besides the revolver with the explosive bullet attachment. just pulling it out (jensen checks the breech) is satisfying. oh yeah and it looks fucking bad ass, especially with all the upgrades. but getting multiple headshots with the laser attachment is even better than in hitman bloodmoney.
the one thing though for this game that really stands out for me is how it absolutely and completely complies to my ideal playstyle in a shooter. i'd call it stalking. kind of like guerrilla tactics except never being spotted and killing everyone (even the people i had to knock out because for some dumb reason lethal takedowns make noise). and in every situation where there is an enemy, i leave no survivors, even on the streets (like the police or security) i can't help but do this everywhere because it's incredibly fun.
you could kind of do this in splinter cell chaos theory or far cry or far cry 2 or any of the hitman games but it was very cumbersome with all of them (i don't recall either of the past deus ex games being very fluid with my style of play either). this is really the first game where it feels fluid and right and has fulfilled my style of play in full to a most satisfying note. i just wish it wasn't so god damn short.
can I get banned for using the trainer?
can I get banned for using the trainer?
yes i got banned and now i cant play deus ex human revolution online
I played through HR stealthily, but I didn't really hunt anyone down. I only did takedowns if it was convenient, or if they were in my way. If they weren't, I just snuck past everyone.
Pretty weird that the DLC has a separate listing below Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Steam, makes me think it's standalone but sharing resources.
Usually the main game would just update and you'd be able to access the content in-game via a sub-menu or something.
can I get banned for using the trainer?
yeah man don't let steam find out they'll VAC ban you
Just played through this game this weekend.
Easily GOTY. Amazing game. I found myself feeling bad killing innocents in the beginning of the game, in Detroit I killed very few people. I went through the entire police station with only a single kill (ran out of tranq bullets). Then slowly as I kept playing it just wasn't enough, I had to start being lethal or they'd wake them up etc. By the end of the game I was mowing down the insane guys wanton with my heavy rifle.

Takes a lot longer if you try to go undetected and stealth your way through while exploring
Took me about 40hrs to beat on my first play through. Played on highest difficulty, explored a lot, pacifist and tried to be a nice guy throughout the whole speil.
Going much quicker on my 2nd playthrough where I play as a semi-assassin badass guy who is kind of a dick. I keep to my pistol and sniper/crossbow unless a situation calls for dropping down on a big height and typhooning enemies. In which case I switch into bad-ass war mode.

Errr...
I literally just posted a link of it for $29.99 right above you on Amazon, they send you the code, you plug it into steam
I'm guessing the sudden price drop a month after release is because of the DLC today?
