Yeah, it's a teaser. I remember it because that was the first time I heard about Deus Ex. So it's pretty old.
I remember seeing it around the time I finished the first deus ex. Really awesome to learn that a prequel to a game you've just finished is going to be coming out (even though it took a few years).
Curiosity; whenever you meet Cassandra Reed outside Serif...did anyone not choose the "I never asked for this..." option? I couldn't imagine playing through without saying it.
Just finished the game. I've got to say it, the game's plot is brilliant. So many plot twists and conspiracies, I found that really cool. That ending made me stop a little and think about this world's future. I know it might be odd, but in some way, it made me rethink some of the choices I made in the past, and also think about how to handle future choices. Just how a game needs to be done, teaching you many aspects of life (or not, depends on the genre and plot, of course). 10/10.
Not over here.
It's the concept. Buy games which you lose if the service ever shuts down. And the service is on very shaky foundation as well.
Curiosity; whenever you meet Cassandra Reed outside Serif...did anyone not choose the "I never asked for this..." option? I couldn't imagine playing through without saying it.
You mean, there were other options besides that one?
Curiosity; whenever you meet Cassandra Reed outside Serif...did anyone not choose the "I never asked for this..." option? I couldn't imagine playing through without saying it.
i told her i wanted compensation for investigating megan reed
i told her i wanted compensation for investigating megan reed
Surely investigating Megan Reed would be compensation in itself?
Did anyone else just get an update?
I did, no patch notes.
Must be a Half-Life 2: Episode Three ARG!!
I managed to get the evidence from inside the Wan Chai police station without killing, knocking out or gassing any of the guards, and without thermoptic camo:
I see you brought the GEP gun. Good. Having the option of a silent takedown is always useful.
I'm gonna interpret that as a request.
Still waiting...
I think I'm ready for the Factory Zero achievement. Hopefully I'll be successful.
Still waiting...
Sorry, I've been busy with a lot of work lately and hadn't yet had the time to work on it. I have the following week off though, so I shoul be able to find some free spots to finish it :v:
Curiosity; whenever you meet Cassandra Reed outside Serif...did anyone not choose the "I never asked for this..." option? I couldn't imagine playing through without saying it.
I didn't. I was being a happy Jensen. My friend actually asked for a reward for finding out who killed Megan, what a jerk.
In my first playthrough I only once asked about the reward and then never again. In the side quest where you help the guy to get the camera footage. He really needed help and I felt like a dick. After that I never asked for it...
I usually refrain from asking about the reward because it seems like a dick thing to do, especially with Cassandra Reed and the security footage guy.
Which is exactly why I did it on my 2nd play through! What NPC's don't realize is that jensen has a very sarcastic sense of humor.
Yay, managed to get Factory Zero. It's pretty challenging and makes you try to find the best sneaky path. I did play it on the lowest difficulty but my encounters with enemies were minimal so the reduced damage didn't help me much. So yeah, it's possible to finish the DLC with no weapons, grenades or augmentations. Very good map design, hell, some scenarios weren't in DE:HR and properly tested your stealth abilities. Area I'm talking about is [sp]in the prison, when you have to deactivate the gas. Without weapons and augs you have to sneak. Now each floor has enemies and the snipers in the top one keep searching the lower ones. You need to be careful at that point.[/sp]
I think coming back down is probably one of the hardest parts of the DLC but damn is it intense trying to get through undetected.
The reward is pretty cool though; the extra dialogue seems to imply that nobody's even noticed you've escaped for most of the DLC.
The reward is pretty cool though; the extra dialogue seems to imply that nobody's even noticed you've escaped for most of the DLC.
I don't think much changes if you're undetected after you get to the detention camp. Keitner says that you were playing it smart if you didn't knock anyone out, and everyone on the station seems to just go about their business as normal, which is really awesome. After that, though, it's mostly all the same. Is there any point to Nina? You just can get information out of her, and that's it, it seems. Is she just to put a face on the prisoners?
She was a bit pointless, but I though you could save her/let her out, then again Adam explains why it's a bad idea. At least I never let her die.
She vanishes when [sp]you come back up from the Hyron Drone Lab.[/sp], so I guess there's a bit of an implication something happened to her while you were [sp]down there.[/sp]
