This is basically the exact description for most PC elitists nowadays. What a shame that other PC gamers with at least a small bit of rationality get generalized by a lot of people as elitist fucktards like that.

And what a shame that intelligent, mature console gamers get generalized with the nine-year-old CoD fanboys.
It works both ways. :v:

Wasn't really on the topic of that, but that's quite true as well. If not more-so.
I am a firm subscriber to the school of thought that says if it makes sense, kids should not be absent from violent games as seeing one die will make you feel really bad
Immersion is broken otherwise
Its something that won't be missed at all. There's a million other things to be done with the narrative that can emphasize the brutality of the world and make you feel bad.
If I recall, one of the DXHR comics starts with [sp]a man having his body torn up and augs forced into him in a very sick and brutal way.[/sp] I find shit like that a lot more impactful than being able to kill a kid.
So uh, no one knows if my specs are good enough =/?
So uh, no one knows if my specs are good enough =/?
It has pretty fucking low specs.
If your PC can run Crysis on any settings, you can run it, unlike most modern games coming out on PC (Most of the time bad console ports) now which have minspecs so high (I'm looking at you Black Ops :colbert:) they make PC exclusive games with high end graphics cry in terror.

Fair enough, though I doubt I could run Crysis, I'm told my stuff is nice, but playing Portal 2, I'd get a small amount of stutter problems whenever a door opened so worried is all

They're generally not worth anyone's time.
Complicated can be good though, I liked that DX had several augs for damage resistance, otherwise it wouldn't be much of a choice between that and the more stealth/utility style augs, having them need to be activated and use up bioelectricity stops one aug making you pretty much immune to a type of damage, you need to think about how much you need it and how many energy cells you have left.
HR's augs remove some of that, with regenerating energy and passive augs, passive augs are a good thing, and make more sense for some augs, but I think having it apply to bullet resistance takes a lot of the thinking out of combat focused characters.

It moved the complexity into other areas though. I really liked how they made the hacking not be "PRESS X TO HACK MACHINE" and actually require some thought. They added like 6 augs for hacking to reinforce this.
It's funny; if you try to say that Human Revolution is a vast improvement over the original someone will actually reply and say something like "Whoah there buddy, you take that back."
Are people really that far up the original's ass that they are unable to understand how Human Revolution improves upon so many of the foundations of the original?

You know, it all comes down to the fact how people think that if they did something the other guy didn't makes them cool.
"I played Deus Ex 1 and you didn't means I'm cool, I'd better brag about it to everyone on the planet so the people will respect me and think that I'm a god."
Or it's the blind fanboys who can't admit DE had its flaws.

Opinions. Don't want to sound like an ass which I always am, but I think since they're developing the game, they made a lot of playtests and stuff, so that everything would be balanced.

To be honest I didn't use augmentations that often in DE1.
The main thing I want in HR that the first game had is skills anyway, the new augs are pretty good and fun to use, there's only minor things about them that annoy me.
[editline]10th August 2011[/editline]
And it's mostly the ones I wouldn't use much anyway that I don't like. :v:

Skills are embedded within some of the augmentations.
E.g. reduced recoil augs, environmental resistance and hacking.
Skills are embedded within some of the augmentations.

So I started playing the first Deus Ex again. Going for a non-violent playthrough, and it just occurred to me... if one of the enemies is killed by an NPC or by another enemy (since the wonderful AI has the tendency to shoot each other in the back), that doesn't count as me killing anyone, right?

No.
I got bored of non-lethal playthroughs, it's just like shooting yourself in the foot.

But that wouldn't be non-lethal then, now would it?
gep gun for a non-lethal takedown
But that wouldn't be non-lethal then, now would it?
As long as you don't die :|
The GEP gun is always the most silent way to eliminate resistance.
The GEP gun being the silent way to eliminate resistance, even though it is a joke, is actually true.
You make a shitload of noise trying to kill a group of enemies with a gun (Along with them shooting you), that you would make a shitload less noise just killing them with a single GEP rocket.
"spawnmass rocketlaw" is the most silent way to eliminate everything.
I just completed my first playthrough of Invisible War, and shit was so cash. Now that I actually know the story line and that the first one isn't actually so bad, maybe I will play it.

How??? I barely made it past the first level without banging my head through the desk.
