That's an awesome tv spot.
Can someone tell me why developers always seem to make the crouch key "C" nowadays? It's so lame, why not use the button labled "Ctrl" or on my keyboard nothing because it's used so much the letters aren't there.
Also right mouse button is cover, why not "F or middle mouse button"? Stupid french people cannot do anything right.
I always have my crouch bound to C. It feels more natural for me.

Because you totally must use the buttons the developers find comfortable to.
Also, "nowadays"? It was actually a long time ago when a lot of shooters used "C" as crouch.
I like having crouch set to C, why don't you like it?
Why should F be the cover button?
You do know you can re-bind the controls, right?
I'm used the battlefield series, if i'm not mistaken it was always ctrl there for crouch. Shift and Control all are under my little finger and in order to crouch for c i'd need to take my finger off of the d key so i couldn't strafe in that direction for a moment.
Ctrl should be cover unless the game in question has you slide by sprinting then crouching, in which case trying to shift-ctrl with your little finger is fucking annoying.
Saw a news story about a kid who has a completely robotic right hand.
His hand is augmented.

Use your thumb if you can't change the button in the options.

Did he ask for this?
If anyone wants to know the song in the TV spot, it's My World by Transmissions
You know, I'm pretty damn excited for whatever launch trailer Eidos will masterfully craft.

I doubt they would force you do use certain config.. i know people that use the numpad to play games. You got to be able to atleast make some ini changes.

With all these magnificent CGI and gameplay trailers we already have, what could Eidos Montreal possibly do for the launch trailer?
Did he ask for this?
He did actually. He was born with no hand and he asked some F1 scientists or something to help him.

A trailer with more bombs.

This is the ad I mentioned earlier.
Didn't realise it was about Human Revolution 'till I saw the hand with the eye in it (the sarif industries one).
Soon as I did I thought "WAIT A MINUTE..."
This is really odd, I'm almost 100% sure I pre ordered it, yet there's no mention of me ever doing so in my emails :tinfoil:
Out of curiosity, if they're going to end up treating Human Revolution as a reboot of the franchise, how would you guys feel if they "remade" the first Deus Ex with some of the bells and whistles from Human Revolution?

It needs to happen.
It needs to happen.
With how much they're hinting at in Human Revolution, I feel like they'd stay pretty damn true to the original's story.
I really hope there is a moment in Human Revolution where there is a "Oh my god Jensen, a bomb!" moment.

A typhoon!
A typhoon!
Now that I think of it, hearing Jensen's reply probably wouldn't be as good since his voice is so gravelly.
"Oh my god Jensen, A bomb!"
"Ahh bhombh"

He would sound extremely depressed about it, or...
"Oh my god Jensen, a bomb!"
"I never asked for this."

Remakes don't let characters expand and evolve, and we'd just be re-treading the same areas.
I would be interested in playing a game or expansion that bridges the gap between Human Revolution and the original.
I'd like to see a remade UNATCO HQ.
In the original it is just a glorified corridor with 6 offices and a break room, with only two floors, a small prison of sorts, and no barracks.
I'd expect a base of a military organization to be a bit larger and filled.
For example, it could probably do with a vehicle hangar, a barracks (I doubt anyone is going to sleep in their office), an area similar to the main portion of Vandenberg (Multiple levels and a large open area in the middle), and an elevator instead of STAIRS EVERYWHERE.
Something that bugged me about UNATCO HQ was that the only way for people to get in and out of the MJ12 base would be to waltz through UNATCO HQ. That needs to be changed up a bit. It would make much more sense for them to have a secret exit near the statue, like maybe that one little bunker at the back of the statue with the "electrical problems". I think the vehicle hangar should take the place of the old MJ12 entrance.
Instead of going in through the medbay, JC should go through a secret exit in the statue, sneak into HQ looking for a vehicle at the lowest level in the hangar, having to encounter the same people as last time (Say for example, Anna Navarre has the nanokey to activate the hangar elevator), getting out of the building via a vehicle lift, and then meeting Jock at the helipad as he is just about to drive to the pier and hijack a boat.

tl;dr version of above post:
UNATCO needs to feel more like a fortress then an office with soldiers in it.
[editline]15th August 2011[/editline]
And obviously I think UNATCO HQ would feel better if it was a bit less linear.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein didn't expand on characters and evolve? That's odd.

I'd like to see a refined NYC and Hong Kong. But as Dr Bob said, it would be interesting to have a game that takes place between Human Revolution and the first.
Erm, I don't know if this is possible:
On the mission to destroy [sp]The UC[/sp] is it possible to go through the front door again or do you have to go through the sewer.
I never tried the front door, I always went sewer.

I think it would be nice to see the NSF in the early days when the US collapses.
Wasn't HR supposed to be the start of a new series anyway?

In the first ever leaked gameplay video of Human Revolution [sp]in the end, there is a bomb.[/sp]
[sp] He yells "Shit!", breaks the window and boom, the building blows up. Then he actually meets Barret and the cutscene's the same as in the FEMA camp. Where will the Barret fight then actually be? Don't know. [/sp]
