Can someone tell me if the Augmented Edition of the game is limited to Steam? I'm seeing some copies of it on Amazon, but no option to pre-order.

The funny thing is, I buy retail games but I never install them from the disk as I don't have enough SATA cables to connect my dvd drive to my mobo. So I just download them and use the CD-key and a crack.
What pisses me off about the Deus Ex website, is that if you select your birth year as 2027, it actually rejects you, and you have to clear cookies.
If you select, say, 2004, does it let you in?
Probably not.

Last retail game I bought was Fallout New Vegas, it was cheaper then Steam, and it wasn't even on sale. [editline]18th August 2011[/editline] Anyways I won't be home from Vacation until 3 days after Deus Ex comes out so the download server should not be that slow.

I just got Deus Ex:HR for $34 on GreenMan Gaming, and it's a steam game... Best deal ever

Naw guys, the DX hentai was supposed to be for page 34, you're all late. 34 is the new 69.
New video interview: http://gamingtrend.com/2011/08/18/deus-ex-human-revolution-exclusive-behind-the-scenes/
Holy shit, thank you for this. What this contains: Devs yapping about objectives and multiple ways/paths to complete them. Another dev showing off the background logic of conversation battles and the Excel prototype/testing platform for them, then shows off the real one in-game, thus this part is a partial spoiler. Same dev then explaining how hacking & its augmentations work, then shows off this fucking awesome but completely crazy old Excel-built hacking prototype which ended up being way, way too complex for testers: You had to analyze a system to find ways in, choose from (possibly multiple) I/O ports which would give different bonuses upon which one you entered with, where you'd get a value for "Network Integrity" which you had to bring down before they could trace you, then you had to allocate CPU cycles into Attack, Stealth or Defend. Not only could security trace you, but also attack you, which is why you'd have to invest into Defend as well. If you'd win, you'd reach the open Console, where you could read emails and shit or download files, which took time. Plus, all of this was governed by stats. All of this while also having access to a top-down map since guards could find you while hacking and you could shift hiding spots while doing the hack. Oh, and computers used to be networked, so you could hack one across the hallway.

Could probably be a game in its own right.
Uplink.
I fucking loved this game.
I fucking loved this game.
Too bad it gets really easy once you figure out how to clear out entire banks without getting caught.
Turns out Adam Jensen [sp]never asked for this[/sp]
I'm too scared to click it ;-;
Educated guess here, I don't know if this is the ending or not, but just in case I'm point tags on it. Read at your own risk, this is a theory I came up with, but it might actually be the ending. Afterall, I managed to guess what the Halo Reach ending was. Adam Jensen [sp]bombs the Statue of Liberty after becoming disgruntled[/sp] with the [sp]United States.[/sp]
Spoilers; with the tragic loss of Megan, Adam decides to marry his secret gay lover and take his last name which is Denton, depressed because they can't have kids they go to Page to get him to grow them one in his labs and name it Paul.

Which perfectly ties in with what the developers said about how the events in HR lead to the formation of UNATCO.
