All you have to do is restart steam around the time the game unlocks and you can play. That is how some people were playing Portal 2 for like 30 minutes before the time ran out.

Got my preorder in for Dead Island at the last second.
I was really hoping that the game would fail to get good reviews so I could safely pass on it, but from what I've heard, I'm convinced it was worth getting.
Any details about the engine other than It's the same as CoJ: The Cartel which basically runs on any machine?. Say improvements done to it after that game?
I was planning between Disgaea 4 and this, but after seeing the stream and reading reviews, I think I would like an open world Zombie game more.
The PC modding community should definitely add Zombie Sharks to the ocean if there aren't any already.

I think it's clear some improvements were done as from what I've seen the game looks pretty nice and aside from a few hiccups, most reviews say the same. The Cartel was not the prettiest game.
