It seems to me that almost every anticipated game, such as this, never turn out as you'd expect.
Inb4 Project Zomboid
It's a good game, it's just that Techland needs to get there shit together.
Good god will you faggots stop complaining. They'll have the patches out soon so just wait.
It's just you, because everything looks beautiful for me. Besides the ridiculous choppy/lag going on after I play for a few minutes. Have to keep restarting.
Weird, I am not sure what are the specs of my friend's PC, but I'm sure he has a GTX570 and all the other new games run on his computer just fine.
LOL, You can drown zombies. :D
How so? The game's optimized perfectly from my experience, maxed out on 1920x1080 and there's not even a single hiccup in framerate. I've seen zero signs of it being porty minus the rare crash. Regarding the update, are there any patch notes besides "Released proper version." Does that actually fix things like the rare crash, or is it just a tweak to remove all the cheat key binds?
I just don't like the "feel" of it. I have no performance issues at all, minus my router exploding. Maybe It's not my type of game. I bought it to play with friends but then they played without me, so I'm a little butt-hurt.
Appearantly with this patch, people are having bank trucks spawn at the lifeguard safehouse now. http://steamcommunity.com/id/fishins/screenshot/540652348072556316/? Quite a few people are confirming it, and people are saying some quest givers are now completely gone, and the fences at safehouses are no longer sliding open like they should be. Man, this game is great, but this release is sloppy as fuck, rendered sloppier by supposedly giving us the intended release version only for it to have more bugs. I love the game, but I have no clue if I should wait a few more days before I touch it again.
I just don't like the "feel" of it. I know the feeling of having friends ditch you, everyone wanted to play Portal 2 MP with me but I was working on release day, I come home, everyone went off and pubbed instead. I was pretty annoyed. Still haven't touched Portal 2's MP. Hopefully you'll get the game messing with your router fixed somehow.
I'll play with ya.
I'm afraid to launch it now. I hear the patch broke campaign progress, and it seems other issues are cropping up... so there might be ANOTHER patch, and that one might break the campaign too... ugh.
Going to wait for the next patch.
does anybody else find this game incredibly easy? i mean i've been playing for hours now and i've only died once and that was when i accidentally drove backwards off a cliff [editline]7th September 2011[/editline] PS good thing i've been playing the game in offline mode
I started it back up this morning only to be forced to restart from the beginning, as recently stated in this thread by many people. Last night, I was running this game perfectly smooth at 1920x1080 maxed with no hiccups. And now, my FPS seems to have taken a shit on me and wants to skip a lot more. After defragging and validating, nothing was fixed and the popping sounds I was getting last night only got worse. Later today though, they're supposed to be releasing the "final version"
Good god will you faggots stop complaining. They'll have the patches out soon so just wait.
Ezio stop being a moron. People have a right to complain that their shit's broken, if you buy a new plate and it arrives in pieces but has a note saying "we'll ship a new one out later" you're still going to be pissed. I hope the patch fixes the problems the games having but fuck you if you think people should be happy it's a disjointed mess out of the box.
Damn the new patch broke everything, I was running the game so fine, everything maxed out no lag at all, and now, I've got like 15 fps.
You people should just wait until they have fixed all the major problems instead of having to restart from the beginning all the time.
So is this patch affecting all the platforms or just the PC? And if it is affecting other things, do you reckon it'll be fixed by the ninth?
Dammit. I just woke up and noticed there is a patch. I downloaded and started my game and I end up stuck inside some fencing with no possible way of getting out (I tried the way you usually get out and there was an invisible wall. I check my quests list and everything is gone. I end up trying to reload from last checkpoint but it sends me to beginning of the game. Goodbye 5 hours of gameplay.
If anyone is having choppy/laggy problems, the setup I have now seems to work fine for me (ATM).
Resolution(1920,1080) Monitor(0) BPP(24) FSAA(16) TexBPP(32) TextureQuality("High") Filtering("Trilinear") Fullscreen() Shadows("High") ShadowMapSize(2048) SpotShadowMapSize(4096) Lightmaps() GammaFloat(1.00) MaxRefresh(70) MaterialQuality(2) FXQuality(3) FXFadeLevel(2) WaterQuality(2) GrassQuality(0) EnvQuality("FullDynamic") ShaderPath(3) DisplayDeviceType(0,0.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000)
The only major changes I made what the shadows and FSAA. Probably has nothing to do with it, but worth a shot?
Where the hell is Maggie for the first sidequest?
Loaded up my game from after taking the guard tower, started right before killing the last zombie, did that, didnt do shit, realized state was at like before you even come up on the strand, jumped out with some parkouring, walked to a trashcan upfront, jumped back in, 2 armored vans (one badass Dawn of the Dead and a bank one) and a car, and yeah, everythign bugged. The door is funny too. Too bad I can't go on a cruise with these vans.
Where the hell is Maggie for the first sidequest?
She's in the lighthouse.

It's late.
Where about is the file that lets you mess with the graphics?
Fuck. This is annoying. I really don't want to redo every mission again. I kept all my levels and weapons (I'm in the hotel right now with a full inventory.) but lost every quest and all the main quest progress.
Where about is the file that lets you mess with the graphics?
C:\Users\**\Documents\DeadIsland\out\Settings and then open Video with Notepad.
Retarded question time, how do I open it with notepad. I dont have the Open with option.
wow. buy something from shop and it doesnt let me move my character. restart the game and the sound breaks again. i can never win with this game.
