Wait, you have to look for weapons. Almost anything can be used as a weapon. You can cut up zombies. Oh God I hope I can cut off a zombie's leg/arm/head and use it to beat other zombies.
And a thought that developed from this: all that discussion about degradation of weapons, all seemed to be based on "classic" degradation, based on a bar, some maths and rather liner, but in this game they have bones, flash, skin all dynamically destructible, so surely the weapons will work in a similar way? Your plank could dent/wear and snap against the head of a zombie if you keep hitting with the same bit of plank.
Maybe not, but it only seems logical.

I did a playthrough on dead Rising with my level 50 frank where I just get picking up the fish from the pond and went through the game with that only.

Well spotted, it could be a small reference, or some fictional sports team memorabilia.
I think thats the date that Dead Island was first announced, I could be wrong though.

Wow. That whole skin thing at the end surprised me. I never noticed that.
It actually happens in game.
The skin thing was for dramatic effect, the trailer wasn't mean to be viewed in chronological order so it tries to make you think that shes just a normal dead girl in the beginning but then it shows you what happened to her.

I mean the zombie that got his head axed off didnt look like he was turning back normal.
