i think most of the problems are due to online coop being enabled
I love this game so much. Probably the most fun co-op game I've played in a long time.

Is there some way to manually save or do I just have to do quests to save?
Also yeah I have it on singleplayer and I'm not having any problems.
game dont want to start again once alttabed, which with 2 screen is a commodity
Throwing weapon master race. Also Logan has a skill that heals him and makes him deal more damage when drunk, now alcohol has a use.
Sam B is a pretty awesome character, blunt weapons get really badass later on. Only thing I don't like is his Fury ability, it seems generic, he just goes angry and does super punches on zombies for a while.
I like Logan, he's pretty good with all weapons and he specializes in throwing. I like throwing morning stars at zombies and having it pop back into my hand.
I like Xian. At a certain point I can just swing a knife and decapitate like 3 zombies at once.
Also how is the update? I can't get home for about 3 more hours.
I've been playing Purna, but I have yet to come across so much as a Pistol.
I bought the retail version, will i be forced to use steam to play it?

There is no update, only a patched out no-clip which made things worse.
So what is the current consensus?
Buggy but still great fun, with or without friends?
Anyone else keeps crashing for no reason?
Just took some time off of playing to read the steamforums and gamefaqs forums. Oh god its the funniest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. On-topic with the bugs though. When I first started playing it stuttered really bad. Turned the game availability to "LAN" and turned it to Single Player. No more stuttering

It works for my friend. I play as Logan and if I get overran and my weapons break, he just gets angry, shoulders them into the ground, and hits things until everything is dead. Logan is great to have on your team.
At this point, I don't even want the updated version, for gods sake, I cant even play without crashes or
horrindus lag.... Seem's like giving the player an alpha version is just a dumb mistake, I can't stand it when I have to wait for an update just to play a game for god's sake hire some playtesters...
NOT THAT I CARE ABOUT ACHIEVEMENTS OR ANYTHING but why aren't any unlocking for me? :C

Is there some way to save the game that I'm missing?
I was trying not to read since 2 days ago because I didn't want to spoil it because GMG doesn't have keys anymore, but then I realize noone else really has the game and found out that the game was riddled with gamebreaking bugs on day 1.
That's just so stupid.
For people having issues with the game freezing for a couple seconds constantly and are experiencing lagging an easy solution is to go to the game options and switch the game to single-player.
Obviously you can't play online when turned off but this should atleast allow you to play the game smoothly until all this shit is fixed.
How's the gore in this game? Nothing special?

Game stuttered a lot right after I got out on the beach in Act I. Did #2 and it doesn't stutter at all now, runs nice and smooth.
