Yes, definitely. This is my dream zombie game. The only issues I have with it are all technical related.
There is a lot of replayability. Be it a SP playthrough, then a coop playthrough, or just staying in SP and beating the game with different characters.
I need help changing graphic settings. Your supposed to edit the Video file in
C:\Users\Documents\DeadIsland\out\Settings
When ever I change stuff in there and set it to "read only" the game reverts back to medium settings. But when I turn it off "read only" the game changes my settings in the file.
Any idea?
Been playing for the past hour or so..via other means. Still not convinced it's worth the full price, may wait for a sale. Only real thing that would keep me interested would be co-op.

For some reason everyone's calling me "him" and "them" even though I'm playing Xian and singleplayer. Also "move LS",good job Techland.
So the only thing that's wrong with this game are the technical issues right now? Other than that it's a great game that's worth the $50?

The LS thing has sort of been fixed. For some people, it has a mouse, and for some people it still has the stick.

Yes. This game is AWESOME, it just has a shitload of bugs due to some fuckwad sending the wrong version of the game to steam.

This is pretty much every fucking encounter I've had with the Infected. I don't mind Infected undead when they're done right. But god damn it, this is not the way to do it.

Yes, and by Friday I imagine the game will be in decent condition. They're released a patch yesterday, and another one today. They seem commited to fixing up their mess.
I've not had any issues since today's patch. Been playing like crazy and having a blast.

What makes it bad? They're hard as fuck to deal with, even by themselves. The fact they're not paper monsters like in L4D combined with their crazy screaming freaking me out, to me, falls in "Doing it the right way."

I was wondering this too. I played up through most of the second chapter with a reset character. I imagine difficulty-wise it wouldn't matter too much since zombies always scale to your level regardless, but I'm afraid there may be some lingering technical issues with using a reset save. I kept crashing when I was playing last night and I'm beginning to wonder if maybe that's because of my save...

Riva, you're kidding, right? The combat is fun and the quests keep the game going. The combat is the best tbh. Anyway, I rarely get my ass kicked by the infected. I always win lol...
So what's the deal with the skulls? I just found a "Brown Skull" and I don't know what the hell it is.
Also, is anyone else having trouble with the audio fucking up. Sometimes it just breaks, and sometimes its only a problem when specific sounds are played or when part of the UI is open like the menu or inventory screen. Its crackled, annoying ass white-noise. And its only in the right audio channel, never the left. The left channel is fine. And its not my headset.
Damnit they broke it even more than when it was broken.
Before I could join my friend's game once per-session.
