With Sam B, I killed a thug with 2 moves. My first swipe does a lucky insta-knockout (from a skill), then I do a jumpstomp on its head to instakill it. What's with everyone not knowing where to find a pistol? I found one in my second hour of play! Inside the storeroom of one of the bars out near the bungalows over the water (diamond?) there sits a dead human. A gun spawns next to him fairly reliably. It seems to spawn with a level higher than your own, and there's no ammo for it either.
Mine had two bullets in it. They were so precious. Never found any other firearms related stuff until the city. :v:
I like how they sort of kept in the multi layer damage, its cool when you notice it. Anyway, whats up with the intro video who is the guy in it that we are in the perspective of? It wouldn't make sense if it was one of the player characters.
Especially when you watch zombies burn as their skin slowly dissapear to show the muscles and guts.
I love it when you hit them in the chest hard enough and their ribs start ripping through and stuff.
Maybe you are hitting them too hard :v: Most bungalows have the number near the door.
I just can't see shit, does anyone have a picture? Maybe I'm going blind

Questions I never got answered and was wondering about: Is the trailer theme in the game? Do the 4 characters interact in any cutscenes because I think in a trailer it shows them talking.
But in all seriousness, give the man a screenshot. Having checked the forums for Dead Island it seems that there isn't any options to adjust your field of view and from what I have seen of screenshots from PC players it looks like the field of view is at about 75. This is bad. Am I right in saying it's 75 or is it 90? Can you prove it if so.
By the way, anyone else found the [sp]couple from the first trailer in the hotel room next to yours[/sp] at the beggining yet? When I saw it, I shat bricks.
I can't bear to play with numbers and health bars, you won't get to see much of the destruction and all that since these numbers and all that spam your screen.
I can't bear to play with numbers and health bars, you won't get to see much of the destruction and all that since these numbers and all that spam your screen.
You can turn them off, you know... That's what I did at the very beggining!
The game has been in development since 2005.
So fuck? Being in development means fuck all. I'm currently developing a hover car, hang on I'll show you what I've got so far. [editline]hello faggots[/editline] see, i'm in development.
Throwing a weapon at a charging infected and watching it hit them in the head in slow motion causing them to flip backwards and land on their back is one of the most satisfying things in the entire fucking game. I love this game so god damn much.

High five! :v: [editline]8th September 2011[/editline]
Throwing a weapon at a charging infected and watching it hit them in the head in slow motion causing them to flip backwards and land on their back is one of the most satisfying things in the entire fucking game. Also anyone else enjoy jumping into the air to kick instead of just standing and kicking? I feel like more of a bad ass when I jump kick even if it isn't much of a significant difference from normal kicking :v:
When in town I recommend to shoot those running fuckers into the legs so they fall and then you can get the hell out. These guys can get you stuck easily. Bought the game on 360 tonight, couldnt connect to my friends game :(. Other servers were showing up but not his.
Trowing a weapon at a boomer zombie thing and watch while he explodes is also satisfying
I laughed when I saw that they explode after falling over. I guess it's too hard for them to stand back up and they just say "fuck it". I bet this thug wishes they were a bit less vertically-challenged. I hurled my favourite wrench at the exploder who falls over and explodes about a metre behind, completely blasting off both of toughguy's arms. He got a little bitey after that, but remained in high spirits. [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/576681779227466984/0653EA530DE4B99C9B5C6C20EC9EED28C4EE98A4/[/t]
Wow, Act 2 is no fun at all alone, the bosses are just awful to fight alone.

[editline]hello faggots[/editline] see, i'm in development.
Publishers do push release dates, but as I said, the game have been in development for 6 years. You cant blame its buggy state on publishers 'pushing' them for release, they have had plenty of time. You should think or do your research before calling out people dumb for thinking that its the developers fault that they didnt iron out bugs or polish the game in the 6 years of development.
Its kind of a mix between Far Cry 2 and Borderlands I'd say.
Holy fuck I just tried to play the game there and the audio spazzed out with really loud crackling sounds so I had to quit really quick my ears are in pain.
So are certain areas restricted until you progress through the story? Are zombies way too tough to fight in another, higher level area?
From what I've seen with gameplay would be that there's higher level zombies in higher level areas, but they should still be around your level if you're supposed to be there(As in, they have a min level cap) Also anyone know if it re encrypts after using an US vpn to decrypt it?
So are certain areas restricted until you progress through the story? Are zombies way too tough to fight in another, higher level area?
It's a perfect balance, you need to take care where you are heading. Nothing so far is restricted it's just that you expand possibilities when doing missions and rebuilding stuff or whatever there is to do. And when you reach town... it's hell, therefore you need to pick off groups and do many many tactical steps to reach your goal without dying, it's damn hard but not frustrating.. it's rewarding :v:
So are certain areas restricted until you progress through the story? Are zombies way too tough to fight in another, higher level area?
Well I've only palyed till the city, before that there was the whole resort to explore, seemed like a quite big area, the city was blocked off, which you opened through a series of quests, new bosses and such in the city.
I downloaded the game on my brother's account and have been playing it waiting for my key. Finally got my key today, plugged it into my account and tried to play... it won't let me. Restarted steam, computer, etc... keeps telling me the servers are too busy, but the game is already installed...
I wasn't really excited for this game a few months back, but just from reading the thread I think I'm going to pick up a copy today.
