All of the main characters are in the intro.
The only part of the game I have disliked so far was the sewers, wasn't that fun for me. Is there many places like the City and resort you go? Like where it actually has to load a new area? I thought the resort was the entire map then I went to the city and I was like :O

Game's fuckin fruity on a driver level, too. My primary 580 is only being used 4% but my secondary is at 98%. Why the fuck would it forgo the primary card in favor of the secondary.

the only thing i don't like about it is that it seems to me you have to sprint to activate it yet he constantly uses it against thugs which makes a huge conflict of animations when you try to swing a weaon

dead island is absolutely one of the best zombie games if not the best zombie game i've ever played, period. it's SO worth fifty dollars
Honestly, Dead Island is a lot like what I wanted from the Left 4 Dead games. A nice open world to roam around in with others and plenty of zombies and quests.
This game looks like so much fun with friends, but sadly the only guy that I know got it is kind of an asshole.
I should convince some other friends to buy it.

Yeah. Honestly, the only reason I bought it was because Greenman had it for $34 and I wanted to try it out, but I totally would have paid $50 for it now that I've actually played it. I'm still a bit salty about all the technical issues, but the fact that I've played it for 11 hours already despite the issues should really say something about its quality.
i was really reluctant about the city and stuff at first because it was a total theme change from the resort, too. it went from kind of intimidating to all of a sudden zombies everywhere and incredible ambiance that really makes you check corners. zombies aren't really scary but you find yourself in a panic when you suddenly get ambushed in all directions
Yeah I was on the fence about this until a couple of days before the game came out and then caved. Despite whatever technical issues there are, it got the gameplay right. I've so far only been using melee weapons right now, but it feels like there's actual weight behind the swings, especially for heavy weapons. There are times when I hear a growl and start looking all over just to be blind sided when I turn my head. Techland did very well with the atmosphere, you can be freaked out even in a sunny environment.

stay by the gate door. he's not smart enough to walk through it.
also rams are super easy. just remember movement keys + jump = dodge
ram only has two attacks. he can kick and he can ram. that's it. otherwise he walks around with his back [intentionally] facing you so you can get in a whole ton of blows before he has time to really respond

Wow butchers are extremely easy to kill. Just hit it 2-3 times with a good machete and I win. I don't think they even do that much damage.

I just ran him into the nearby fire and ran in circles repeatedly until he died. My co-op buddy was not savvy to my plan and got shoulder smashed into the ground and died about 6 times throughout the whole thing.
