God I hate not being able to enjoy it because of the static that my USB headset seems to attract in this game. Does anybody know a fix for this? It's my only headset so no, I can't just use another one.

I managed to boot the game into the main menu, but after altering the settings to a lower degree, the game crashes just after the 'Techland' screen. Yay!

Can somebody help me out here, I just got the game on Steam, and when I try launch it, the splash screen comes up but nothing happens? I tried verifying the cache and defragging and then reinstalled and nothing happens?

Also how to change FOV?

By the way, I'm really surprised by how tense the game can be. The howl of Infected is actually pretty worrying, in stark contrast to L4D, where it's just "Oh, better get in a closet."

How do I transfer save files? Been playing on a friends account until I could get mine and I'm in the jungle on act 3 and I really don't want to start again.

I think I've figured out the mystery of the disappearing quests. Quests that you accept, but that take place in another area, don't actually show up in your log until you travel to that area. So, for example, when Nikolai asks you to find his friend's satellite phone, you won't actually see the quest in your log until you get to the city.

It showed up for me as soon as I got it.
